During a questioning segment between Texas Senator John Cornyn and Judge Amy Coney Barrett, the supreme court nominee was asked to reveal the notes she might be using to answer detailed and specific legal questions.
“You know most of us have multiple notebooks and books and other things like that in front of us. Can you hold up what you’ve been referring to in answering our questions?” Cornyn asked Barrett.
Judge Barrett held up a blank notepad and smiled.
“Is there anything on that?” Cornyn asked.
Barrett responded: “Just a letterhead that says United States Senate.”

I am personally in awe of this nominee. Brilliant. Like another before me…I wish she were being appointed Chief Justice. I keep thinking of Robert Barnes emphatic apand relentless opposition towards her, and I wonder if his opinion has changed. I actually want her to be an independent constitutionalist. I want her to rule on law and not on politics. I think Kagen and Sotomayor are pathetic partisan hacks. I appreciated the couple rulings by Kavenaugh and Gorsuch that unsettled republicans because I felt they were law based and not ideology. I am very excited about ACB.

A strict Constituionalist serves and protects all equally by serving and protecting the Constituion. A partisan Justice will end up compromised. May Justice ACB live long and rule as a strict Constituionalist.
I tuned back in tonight, just in time to watch Kampala Harris spew a bunch of rhetoric. Did she ever bother to actually ASK ACB any questions?
It almost sounded to me as if KH was delivering oral arguments in a SCOTUS case to an already seated Justice. Was she trying to plant seeds in ACB’s head, or was she trying to establish the basis for a recusal request when certain cases come before the court?
Corollary Question:
If Dems can suggest that gun ownership (by ACB’s family) disqualifies her from hearing 2A cases, doesn’t that ALSO mean that REFUSAL TO OWN a firearm is EQUALLY prejudicial, thereby disqualifying any OTHER Justices from hearing 2A cases, too? Taking THAT position to its logical conclusion would mean that NO 2A cases could be heard by the SCOTUS, meaning the 2A would be rendered moot, and STATES would then be able to disarm ALL HONEST CITIZENS.
