Redistribution of intellectual effort.   No, this is not a joke – unfortunately.  If you earn an “A” and you are white or Asian, you need to have your grade lowered so a minority grade can be raised if lower.

WISCONSIN – A new policy at the University of Wisconsin – Madison states that good grades should be distributed equally among students of different races.


The policy, named the “Framework for Diversity and Inclusive Excellence,” calls for “proportional participation of historically underrepresented racial-ethnic groups at all levels of an institution, including high status special programs, high-demand majors, and in the distribution of grades.”

Whoooooo doggies.   Mrs. Dana Loesch is blistering mad that American Thinker dare to call her, Glenn Beck and Ted Cruz to task.

I do firmly believe tension is extremely high at Glenn Beck world inc. because their decisions this past week, and their attacks against those who disagreed with their decisions, created a situation where they ultimately Alinsky’d  (Isolate, Ridicule, Marginalize) their own audience.    The responses to this AT article from Dana Loesch reek of desperation and angst.
First the Article:
(Via American Thinker – Catharine Evans) While we regular, cash-strapped taxpayers concerned about the well-being of our country stood  on the overpasses Saturday protesting  the total breakdown of our borders, where were a few of our  stalwart conservative spokespeople and politicians? Were they holding anti-illegal immigration  signs  with ‘we the people’ on the National Day of Protesting Against Immigration Reform Amnesty and Border Surge?

No. Senator Ted Cruz, Rep Louie Gohmert, Glenn Beck, and Dana Loesch, among others, were in McAllen, Texas meeting with Rio Grande Catholic Charities Director Sr. Norma Pimentel just weeks after her very public visit with Nancy Pelosi. Not to be outdone by the Democrats, photos on The Blaze showed the media stars and politicians preparing food, handing out soccer balls and assisting church groups.
Funny how it does not seem to bother them that the rest of us are being forced to pay for transportation, medical care, legal assistance, and housing for the recent surge of illegal aliens coming in droves. Nor do they seem worried about the dangers undocumented illegals pose to the country. If it did, wouldn’t they be with rallying with the protesters, instead of, in St. Paul’s words, partnering “righteousness with lawlessness?” (more…)

Our friend, Cetera, left this comment in a thread earlier this week and I think it serves well as an introduction to his spirit and concern that we find ways to stand fast and encourage one another:

We’re 3-0, now, in Murietta, at Bundy’s, and against the National Park/Memorial barricades. All were won merely by showing up, refusing to go away, and when threatened with violence, calling their bluff.Twice now, the Obama regime has brought in actual troops prepared to use lethal force against civilians, and were absolutely and thoroughly rebuffed without a shot fired. The third time, they never even deployed the troops.

Wolverines, listen up.  We are all here to support each other, to keep a watchful eye on each other and our Republic, and to fight the good fight when and where it is needed.  Each of us shoulders responsibility we assign only to ourselves, that we pick up voluntarily, and in each of our own ways we promote Truth and Justice.  In short, we are here to keep the faith, because at some level each of us feels that faith under assault or under siege.
For a great many of us, we may never have put into words or closely examined the fundamental principles and truths that we feel inside of us, and what they mean.  I would like to have a discussion on these First Principles over this and several future posts. (more…)

MOSCOW — Russia’s richest businessmen are increasingly frantic that President Vladimir Putin’s policies in Ukraine will lead to crippling sanctions and are too scared of reprisal to say so publicly, billionaires and analysts said.

If Putin doesn’t move to end the war in Ukraine in the wake of last week’s downing of a Malaysia Air jet in rebel-held territory, he risks becoming an international outcast like Belarus’s Aleksandr Lukashenko, whom the U.S. famously labeled Europe’s last dictator, one Russian billionaire said on condition of anonymity. What’s happening is bad for business and bad for Russia, he said.
‘‘The economic and business elite is just in horror,’’ said Igor Bunin, who heads the Center for Political Technology in Moscow. Nobody will speak out because of the implicit threat of retribution, Bunin said by phone on Sunday. ‘‘Any sign of rebellion and they’ll be brought to their knees.’’ (more…)

Let it not be said that no-one saw this coming.   This Islamic terror outcome was  completely predictable.   Western media may avoid the obvious, but Libya is already in a state of civil war.   Oh yeah, and Obama/Clinton – you both own this !

LIBYA – An Islamist-led militia has stepped up its assault on Libya’s main airport, controlled by rival fighters, which the health ministry said on Monday had left at least 47 dead in a week.
The fighting, which erupted on July 13 and shut Tripoli international airport, also injured 120 people, according to figures for the week until Saturday.

The European Union condemned a fresh outbreak of violence on Sunday, two days after the collapse of a truce with the militia controlling the airport, which left five civilians dead according to local media.
A coalition of militias led by Islamist fighters launched an assault on the airport on Sunday, with clashes later spreading along the road to the capital. (more…)
