It really is quite amazing to watch how easily the people around Ferguson Missouri are manipulated by local members of the professional grievance community, and peer pressure. Dozens of residents proud to be arrested including some younger people.
Yesterday they tried to block the Interstate (I-70) but were stopped by police and law enforcement. Of course the Saint Louis media is giddy with the confrontation(s) helping to sell newspapers and generate viewership. However, a review of the people at the center of the protests and you find they are almost the exact same people from the prior evening’s City Council Meeting fiasco.

It appears they have nothing more valuable to do for the community than to travel from venue to venue, agitating.

Kudo’s to Ted Cruz who stood on principle and boldly walked off stage when the audience openly reflected their anti-Semitism.  Cruz was the Key Note speaker.

Cruz was not reading from a teleprompter, nor did he appear to be reading from notes.

President Obama: “The Islamic State is not Islamic”

Tonight at 9:00pm Eastern President Obama will deliver a speech to the nation outlining his strategy to defeat a rising Islamic terror threat known as ISIS. Oddly some of the speech has already been leaked by the White House:

“With a new Iraqi government in place, and following consultations with allies abroad and Congress at home, I can announce that America will lead a broad coalition to roll back this terrorist threat. Our objective is clear: we will degrade, and ultimately destroy, ISIL through a comprehensive and sustained counter-terrorism strategy.

I want the American people to understand how this effort will be different from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. It will not involve American combat troops fighting on foreign soil.

Rather, it is a “counter-terrorism campaign” that “will be waged through a steady, relentless effort to take out ISIL wherever they exist using our air power and our support for partner forces on the ground,” he will say. It’s a strategy of taking out terrorists who threaten us, while supporting partners on the front lines, and is one that we have successfully pursued in Yemen and Somalia for years”.

It was only a few weeks ago, August 9th, when President Obama told the New York Times it was/is “a fantasy” to support “moderates” within Syria and expect them to be able to defeat radical Sunni Islamists.  Now, it appears, he is reversing course and saying the previous “fantasy” will be his specific approach. MSNBC trying to lower expectations for tonight’s POTUS pontifications: “the country is already there, no need to rally the people”.
However, by admitting the President is behind the American people – MSNBC is actually confirming President Obama’s weakness, he leads from behind.

Rochester Michigan is located North of Detroit. I wonder who the school worried would be “offended”?

MICHIGAN – A U.S. Army officer from Rochester, Michigan, was denied entry into his daughter’s high school by four members of its security staff, told that his uniform might “offend” some students.

“Before he was allowed in, the security guard stopped him and said sorry you’re not allowed in the school. Security told him men and women in uniform weren’t allowed because it may offend another student,” Lt. Col. Sherwood Baker’s wife, Rachel, told a local Fox affiliate.
Col. Baker was was on his way to see his daughter’s counselor regarding her class schedule when the incident occurred.
“I can’t even believe they would think like that after all [soldiers] do for our country,” Jim Reynolds, a local resident, told the station. (read more)
