NEW YORK (AP) — They were the core of the original Trump team, a small group of largely obscure political operatives who signed on a year ago for the seemingly quixotic presidential campaign of an oft-mocked celebrity businessman.

Yet there they were in the lobby of the Trump Tower in New York City, sharing a very public embrace as Donald Trump’s victory in Indiana made it clear he was on track to be the Republican nominee for president. The improbable had come to pass.
“It’s professionally very satisfying,” campaign manager Corey Lewandowski said in an interview. “A lot of us have been here from the very beginning when the professional pundits said this was a career-ender and we weren’t going anywhere.” (more…)
(Via Reuters) Prime Minister David Cameron is struggling to convince voters he is telling the truth about why Britain should stay in the European Union and his main “Out” rival Boris Johnson is doing a better job, an opinion poll found.

Only 21 percent of respondents in the survey carried out by polling firm ComRes agreed that Cameron was more likely to tell the truth about the EU than Johnson while 45 percent said Johnson was more believable than Cameron.
With less than six weeks to go until the June 23 referendum on Britain’s EU membership and voters evenly split on how they intend to cast their ballots, the rival camps have stepped up campaigning. (more…)
LOLOL. Talk about three-dimensional media chess, and owning the new cycle. This guy is an epic candidate.
The person who leaked the 25-year-old “audio tape” to the Washington Post was…. wait for it,…. Donald Trump:
In an effort to keep the Daily Open Thread a little more open topic we are going to start a new daily thread for “2016 Presidential Politics”. Please use this thread to post anything relating to the Presidential Race and/or any of the candidates therein.

This thread will refresh daily and appear above the Open Discussion Thread.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †
Here’s a summary of day two in the trial of police officer Edward Nero…
(Via Baltimore Sun) Prosecutors spent much of the second day of Officer Edward Nero‘s trial trying to prove he was directly involved in Freddie Gray‘s detention and arrest — at times using Nero’s own statement to police investigators.
At one point Friday, Chief Deputy State’s Attorney Michael Schatzow read from a transcript of Nero’s statement.
“I then see Officer [Garrett] Miller chasing the other suspect, and Officer Miller at this time is now on foot,” Nero said, according to Schatzow. “He has his Taser in his hand. He’s saying, ‘Stop or I’m going to tase you.’
“He never tases him. I guess the suspect seen me. He then — he then stops. He looked like he kind of like slipped. I don’t know what he did, but either way he stopped.”
“Miller and I, we got him in custody. Miller took out his cuffs; he cuffs him.” (more…)
In the continuing saga showcasing the mountain of evidence exemplifying the insufferable disconnect from the elites who control the legislative agenda of DC, the head weasel stands up to opine.
During a U.S. Chamber of Commerce meeting in Washington DC, President Tom Donohue outlines how his constituency is flummoxed by this Trump person they keep hearing of. Who is he? and what does this mean for the $300+ million they have paid congress for passage of the Trans-Pacific Trade Deal, they ask…..

[…] U.S. Chamber of Commerce President Thomas Donohue said that his members are scratching their heads and searching for answers about how the billionaire businessman would operate if he wins the White House in November.
“I hear mostly concern from our members,” Donohue told reporters during a trade briefing at the Chamber in Washington.
Donohue said he hears questions like, “Who is this guy? What do we know about him? How will he behave?”

One America News Network and Gravis Marketing, a nonpartisan research firm, conducted a random survey of 1,574 registered voters across the United States. The poll was conducted on May 10th and has a margin of error of ± 2.5% at the 95% confidence level. (Link to More Data)
This OAN poll is the stuff of Team Hillary Clinton nightmares, for a couple of reasons.
- The poll is well oversampled toward Democrats: 40% Democrat, 33% Republican, 27% Independent. Yet, Hillary barely squeaks out ahead.
- The Independents in the poll heavily skew toward Donald Trump 58%. This is the battleground space/electorate for almost all swing state polling.
- Donald Trump wins Hispanic voters.
- The polling base, “registered voters” does NOT include the Monster Vote.

Here’s the Hispanic Voter breakout:
Below you will find all the media interviews with Candidate Donald Trump today.
As almost everyone is aware by now, The Washington Post –via recorded commentary from Bob Woodward– officially announced their intents to assign 20 reporters to take down the threat to their preferred candidate, Hillary Clinton.

Before he died Andrew Breitbart spoke of this time of inevitable conflict. The ultimate battle between a center-right nation and the Cultural Marxists occupying the left-wing “Democrat Media Complex”.
We might not have known the timing, but we all knew this war was coming.
It’s here.

There is a new awakening amid the electorate; one that has been a long time coming, but it is finally here. More Americans are aware of the UniParty than ever before.
FACT: When both teams in the Super Bowl are owned by the same person, the Lombardi Trophy is destined to end up the same cabinet regardless of who wins.
There is only one party in Washington DC, the UniParty. They are funded by the same ownership, Wall Street; and their legislative victories end up with the same benefactors. The candidacy of Donald Trump represents a second party option for the first time in two decades.

As a consequence, when Bill Kristol advocates for a Ben Sasse or Mitt Romney candidacy, he is framing the fallacy of false choice. Kristol can claim his framework is more than a Potemkin village attempt as a counter argument, but the truth is evident in reality.
Here’s proof, empirical evidence, of the UniParty construct.
