Given the recent revelations that both Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton lied to the police, and State Law enforcement, officers about their Son’s activity – and their parental involvement surrounding final few days of Trayvon Martin – it can reasonably be assumed that they also lied to their media consultant Ryan Julison.
This is really an epic display of prog-logic. I’m generally neutral on Juan Williams because he’s a centrist about 25% of the time. But sometimes his liberalism needle just gets fundamentally stuck-on-stupid. This is one of those times.
Watch how Williams spins the framework of Attorney Eric Holder approving and authorizing the direct Rosen subpoena. The non-judicially reviewed subpoena targeted all of Fox news reporter, James Rosen’s business phone, personal phone, email, and phone records of his entire geographic family including his parents, under the auspices of Rosen being an unindicted co-conspirator to criminal activity; The charge: Domestic Terrorism.
Yet here’s Juan Williams on one hand saying the charges are ridiculous – and obviously done to target a journalist under the most horrible of intentions – yet on the other hand saying it’s really not Eric Holder’s issue, and Holder can/should investigate himself.
*Note* Holder approved of the filing by the Asst Attorney General; He approved of the charge, the content, and the scope of the investigation. Holder signed off on the affidavit authorizing it. Hello?….. Holder already approved the aspects Williams is saying Holder should investigate….
I was wondering when someone was going to pick up on this aspect of President Obama’s speech at National Defense University last Thursday. POTUS was calling for “increased oversight” over drone use. HIS drone use.
Glad to see the words and intent of the President did not escape at least one reporter, Brit Hume:
Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume thinks it is very peculiar for President Barack Obama to call for executive power to be scaled back.
Hume noted on Fox News Sunday that Obama had “made generous use of” drone strikes.
“There’s an odd quality to this whole thing, and it is almost like he’s saying, with regard to the drone policy, ‘We need something to stop me before I kill again,’” he explained. “We can see that in his support on an unrelated matter on the shield law for journalists. He’s carried out these oversteps in pursuing journalists who are doing their job, and now he says ‘we need a shield law,’ as if to say we need a law to protect them from us.”
“Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.“
If I were to describe to you a social event which dictated a historical need for tens of thousands of labor hours from the Police, always ended with hundreds of arrests, was viewed as dangerous by the local citizenry, and which needed so much law enforcement for safety that private citizens willingly paid for the cops, complete strangers, to stay at their homes just so they could feel safe; You’d probably think I was crazy right?
What if we told you in addition to the above, in less than a 20 block radius the police were going to:
- Install 18 continually monitored live CCTV cameras 24/7
- Put 600 police officers in that same area – borrowing 200 from other towns.
- Pre-install automatic license plate readers connected to Homeland Security.
- Erect two dozen police staffed watchtowers.
- Spend $140,000 to “rent” tanks and light armored vehicles with FLIR.
- In total spend around $1,800,000.00 not including overtime for 4 days.
Consider this year’s event:
It has yet to really start, and yet – Police arrested 51 people [so far] between 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday afternoon.
Additionally – The police department has on loan a $140,000 all-terrain vehicle used in the military. The vehicle can use Forward Looking Infra Red (FLIR) to detect body heat nearly a mile away.
I mean what local government would keep subjecting themselves to the risks associated with allowing such a festival to take place year after year, knowing full well the same historical outcome would be repeated? Why would they put themselves, and by consequence their community, through such intentional anxiety? (more…)
Jim Hoft has a great post up at GateWayPundit about exposing the strategy of the DSCC (Democrat Senatorial Campaign Committee). In essence this outlines EXACTLY what we said last week they were going to do – it’s just how they roll.
It’s important to note these are not campaign PAC’s, or merely affiliate entities of the Democrat party, like Think Progress or Media Matters et al. These are the ACTUAL and OFFICIAL statements from the Democrat Party itself.
The Progs are seriously distraught about how the scandals of using official political power to attack the conservative movement is actually creating a backlash. More people now are openly understanding how Conservatives have been, and continue to be, targeted, in an official capacity, by the Administration of President Obama.
Previously, the left-of-center crowd (ie blue dogs) thought these Tea Party claims were merely “tin foil hat” type of conspiracy theory. Now the Independents, and moderate Democrats are realizing it’s not wild conspiracy, it’s true.
It really doesn’t matter what the issue of the day presents itself to reflect – it all boils down to fundamentally divergent values.
Dr. Stephen Covey presented it thusly: On one side you have those living life according to the “Law of the farm” – on the other “The Law of the School”. The former is natural, God given, the semblance of order and life cycle; The latter is a man-made interpretation of selfish self-interest.
A farmer is given to follow the natural law to receive benefit of harvest. He must tend the soil, plant the seed, provide the natural and needed water and fertilizer, then follow up with care -over time- constant tending, sheltering and nurturing, to gain the final benefit of reaping the reward, the harvest.
A farmer cannot “cram” or skip any process in order to achieve success. The process must, naturally, begin with point ‘A’, follow the B, C, D, E, steps in sequential and reconcilable order importance, and finally, after laborious endeavors find himself at the end. The goal. (more…)
The Senate Critter who enjoys flying to have sex with underage Dominican hookers at the taxpayers expense, Menendez, is now claiming his “Gang of Ocho” do not have enough votes to pass the 3/5th’s Senate vote threshold for usurpation passage.
Regretfully, according to crew, sans Rubio, the constitutional limitations on their capacity to override the American citizenry is throwing a challenging roadblock upon them.
However, taking lead from the Chief Usurper, El Presidente’, they will not give up. At least seven members of the Gang Of Ocho are committed to giving citizenry status, and subsequent taxpayer financed benefits, to the millions of illegal voices crying si se puede’… (more…)
(Via Breitbart) On Wednesday, House hearings on the Internal Revenue Service’s (IRS) political targeting of conservative groups uncovered a startling revelation about the interview process used to construct the Inspector General’s report: Obama donor-turned-IRS director of tax exempt organizations Holly Paz sat in on 36 of 41 interviews with IRS employees.
“Why was Holly Paz… in almost all of the interviews you conducted?” asked Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC). “Why would you have someone from the IRS in those meetings? Is that proper protocol?”
“I am unaware of it,” said Inspector General J. Russell George. “This is the first I’ve heard this.” (more…)
Oh my…. Puppy Love Spat?…. “hostile and angry”….. Priceless
Don West files response to State regarding the relevancy of discovery evidence for Trayvon Martin’s background, conduct, associations, drug use, gun ownership, criminal records etc. It is, after all, a self-defense defense; Meaning the actions of the other party led to the consequences to them by the response from the other.

At this point in the pre-trial discovery this latest motion by the defense, seeking sanctions against the State Prosecutors, is, unfortunately, really just an exercise in futility.
Is the State of Florida manipulating discovery? Yes. Are they failing to release Brady Material? Yes. Is their action intentional and willful? Yes. Should it be stopped? Yes.
Does Judge Nelson care? No. (more…)
