New York Daily News – Playing the role of First Lady has squelched Michelle Obama’s spirit, and she’s turned the East Wing into the “worst wing,” a former White House aide claims.
The First Lady’s office has become a “confining, frustrating, even miserable place to work,” according to Reid Cherlin, a former West Wing assistant press secretary, who provided a rare account of the inner workings of the East Wing department in an essay for The New Republic.
Cherlin, who worked for the Obamas from 2007 to 2011 but has since become a writer, dished about the First Lady’s high expectations and staffers’ sense that everything has to be just right.
“The First Lady having the wrong pencil skirt on Monday is just as big of a f–k-up as someone speaking on the record when they didn’t mean to or a policy initiative that completely failed,” Cherlin wrote, quoting an unnamed former colleague.

UPDATE @8:00pm: Cannon Resigns
The YouTube ID of yHrmzLWdJXY?feature=player_embedded is invalid.
Mayor Patrick Cannon was arrested today in Charlotte North Carolina after a multi-year sting operation into bribery and corruption. However, there is actually a bigger story that will *probably* never reach the MSM headlines – After the article I’ll explain.
NORTH CAROLINA – Charlotte Mayor Patrick Cannon was arrested Wednesday on public corruption charges, with the FBI alleging he took tens of thousands of dollars in bribes – including $20,000 in cash delivered in a briefcase last month to the mayor’s office where he also solicited $1 million more.
In return for the money, trips, hotel rooms and access to a luxury SouthPark apartment, Cannon promised to help agents posing as potential commercial investors with zoning, parking and other city-related issues.
According to officials, Cannon turned himself in to federal marshals after learning of a warrant for his arrest. He was immediately taken before U.S. Magistrate Judge David Keesler of Charlotte.
Cannon, a Democrat, was charged with theft and bribery after the FBI sting operation, said Anne Tompkins, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina. He was released on $25,000 unsecured bond, pending indictment, which could come as early as next week. The court file shows Charlotte attorney James Ferguson is representing Cannon.

(Via MoonBattery) Yet another incident reminds us to think twice before turning over children to the care of the zero tolerance authoritarian kooks who tend to run government schools.
A teacher at Walnut Grove Elementary School near Springfield, Missouri put through a frantic phone call to Niakea Williams, informing her that her son Michael was panicking. Michael suffers from Asperger syndrome, which is like autism but with relatively preserved cognitive development.
She rushed to the school, where she was buzzed in by officials. Unbeknownst to Niakea, she had been buzzed in… to the Twilight Zone:

“HOODIES UP” !

A Full Court PR Press is going on in Louisville Kentucky as the police department try to assure the general public they can stop the rampaging mobs of over 200 thugs which have taken control of the community.
The desperation within the voice of the police chief is palpable. Pulling together black community activists he tried to reassure a business community seeing cancellations of events previously planned. A community activist proclaims:
“We have young people who are out of control and we’ve got to deal with that. This is not a race issue, this is a problem with the young people in the community.”
The only problem with his statement is that only black youth are on the rampage….. Lootings, stabbings and random attacks are part of the ongoing flash mob n’ rob.

(Kentucky) Community leaders and city officials are trying to make sure that an outbreak of violence similar to what occurred this past weekend doesn’t happen again.
Police responded to several assaults and robberies throughout downtown Saturday night. LMPD Chief Steve Conrad says 10 people were attacked by teens who gathered to remember a stabbing victim.
“We take this personal. We are going to hold people accountable for their behaviors,” said Conrad.

History is replete with the failures of man, it highlights his cruelty, his desires, and often reveals his true nature no matter what social or moral standards have been established.
In 1895 the English author H. G. Wells laid out the exact template for how The United States would be overtaken by a brutal enemy that is completely malicious and incapable of mercy. Decades later in 1938 the Columbia Broadcasting System radio network, directed and narrated by actor and filmmaker Orson Welles, put that sordid template into action.
While I don’t know if H. G. or Orson were communists, nor do I care, the template and plan of attack is the focus not their personal philosophies. With only the spoken and written word both convinced a nation that is was being overtaken by a foreign invader that sought their complete subjugation. The same holds true today, but it’s done in soundbites, and digital form with far greater speed and reach.

… yes, he actually said that.
While presenting himself as the magnanimous leader of Planet Earth, Dear Leader accepts “a Question” from the grand gallery of swooning ‘Yes We Canners’:
In a horrifyingly embarrassing exercise, Dear Leader rambles in non-answer nonsense for several minutes, sounding completely incoherent.
Then opines Russia is “more isolated” because of its strength. Dear Leader dispatches Russia as a “regional power”, threatening its neighbors out of “weakness”:
“I’m more worried about a nuclear weapon going off in Manhattan”
Meanwhile the planetary healer -and bringer of all light- has been helping to arm those who intend harm upon his representative:

Today at the Supreme Court the justices heard the case of Hobby Lobby VS. Obamacare.
Both sides organized public support. However, the pictures and signs from the left-wing Democrats are, well, actually quite funny. They are always such bitter, angry and unhappy people. They haz sad.

Rumor has it that President Obama may announce new guidelines to the NSA phone data collection.
On January 3rd (2014) Senator Rand Paul filed a lawsuit against the NSA for gathering all phone data as part of their domestic surveillance program.
Leaks from inside administration officials (probably “Skippy” Panetta) are alluding to a soon to be announced policy change of Dear Leader. The change will possibly outline that the NSA is no longer permitted to capture all phone/data records and they will be held outside the government within the operational structures of the telecom network.
The NSA will then have to get a judicial order approved prior to requesting the data from the phone companies.

(Via YNet) Former President Jimmy Carter said Monday that he doesn’t support the Palestinian-led “boycott, divest, sanction” campaign against Israel but said products made in Palestinian territories should be clearly labeled so buyers can make a choice about them.
Carter told The Associated Press in an interview that he and the other retired senior leaders known as the “Elders” recently discussed the economic pressure campaign against Israeli presence in the West Bank. The Elders group was formed by Nelson Mandela in 2007, and includes senior and retired leaders who work together on peace-building and humanitarian initiatives.
“We decided not to publicly endorse any kind of embargo, or so forth, against Israeli invasion, or occupying troops in Palestine,” Carter said.

The shear scope of this (17 separate attacks) might begin to reach sunlight over the course of the next several days. However, the immediately alarming aspect is the Police admitting they were totally unprepared to control the mayhem which took place. (I’ll drop as many video’s below as I can find)
LOUISVILLE – LMPD officers responded to numerous calls between 7:45 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Saturday night involving a large group of teenagers.
According to police, around 200 teenagers were gathered at the Big Four Bridge when 12 people started assaulting and robbing a 13-year-old girl. When an adult male tried to intervene, the group turned on him.
Once police were called to the scene, officers dispersed the large group of teens.
Officials say that’s when calls began streaming in for random violent acts and disorderly conduct throughout downtown.
