You might see punditry begin to obfuscate the Lindsey Graham win against the backdrop of the Eric Cantor loss.

Their collective goal will be to diminish the visibility of conservative strength and grassroots power (because we all know Graham to be a top shelf Decepticon) and cast aspersions toward us by saying the establishment holds in South Carolina.

So, how much support does Graham actually carry?

Let me just point out something factual for you to consider.   Both Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott were on the same South Carolina GOP primary Ballot.

As of this writing Lindsey Graham got 172,765 votes (56%) of support in his race.   However, Tim Scott garnered 265,586 votes and won with (89% of electorate) in his.

The same voters holding the same ballot gave Tim Scott more than 90,000 votes more than Lindsey Graham.

Crushes a few of those “talking points” no?

The key part of this report is that when Darryl Issa found out about the data transmission, the DOJ immediately stated they were informed by the IRS the data-file contained legally protected taxpayer information and should not have been sent to them. Funny how the DOJ defend themselves ONLY AFTER congress finds out about the issue.

WASHINGTON DC – Internal Revenue Service officials sent the Federal Bureau of Investigation a “massive” database listing of tax exempt organizations just a few weeks before the November 2012 elections, House investigators announced Monday.

Oversight and Government Reform chairmen Darrell Issa, R-Calif., and Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, say they recently obtained an email from Lois G. Lerner, the former head of the IRS tax exempt division, to a Justice Department official asking how to format the list of tax exempt groups for delivery to the FBI.

Issa, who heads the oversight committee and Jordan, who chairs a subcommittee, said in a statement on Monday sent a new letter to the IRS, demanding more information about the data sent to the FBI. (more…)

WASHINGTON DC – Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is planning to headline a National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) fundraiser for Sen. Thad Cochran (R-Miss.), the committee confirmed.

The fundraiser asks attendees to contribute $1,000 to $2,500 for individuals and $2,000 to $5,000 for PACs. And it’s certain to be a welcome development for Cochran as he enters into what’s expected to be an expensive three-week campaign before a runoff election against primary challenger Chris McDaniel. NEW YORK – Did Chuck Schumer try to use the IRS to sidestep the Supreme Court’s Citizens United ruling — and stick a dagger in the heart of conservative groups?

That’s the gist of a complaint filed this week with the Senate Select Committee on Ethics.

In Citizens United, the court held that bans on independent political expenditures by corporations, associations and labor unions are bans on speech.

The Center for Competitive Politics is asking that Schumer and nine other Democratic senators be investigated for trying to use the IRS to suppress the free speech of political opponents. (more…)

[…]  Cochran enjoyed the backing of a muscular array of corporate PACs and interest groups, and received an extraordinary injection of late money from his Senate comrades.

He took $27,000 in contributions from colleagues including Sens. John McCain of Arizona, Orrin Hatch of Utah, Rob Portman of Ohio and John Boozman of Arkansas. The National Republican Senatorial Committee, which deployed field staff to Mississippi ahead of the primary to bolster Cochran’s operation, gave him $45,400 on May 20.

[…]  Karl Rove and American Crossroads, the powerful GOP outside-spending group, said Wednesday morning that it would not spend money in the Cochran-McDaniel race. Though Crossroads was not involved in the Mississippi primary prior to this week, the definitive statement that the group will not engage deprives national Republicans of a possible funding stream for Cochran’s effort.

“Other than Alaska, we have completed our work on Senate primaries this cycle and are now focused on general elections. With the Chamber of Commerce, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) , and a local super PAC (Haley Barbour) already backing Cochran, this is not our fight,” Crossroads spokesman Paul Lindsay said in an email. Today throughout the United Kingdom the political chattering class is gob-smacked at the electoral victory for Nigel Farage and the conservative Ukip party.

Ukip is close ideologically, and comparatively structured, to the U.S. Tea Party.

Not since 1906 has a 3rd party handed the Tory (similar to Republican) and Labour (similar to Democrat) simultaneous defeats.    Liberal progressives throughout the EU, and especially the UK, are ‘mouths agape’ because the common sense men and women coast to coast are backing Ukip and expressing conservative nationalism.

Ukip won resoundingly by taking votes from both the Tory party and the Labour party while completely destroying the severely liberal Lib-Dem party.   The landscape of British politics is poised to see a party shattering 2015 election season.

Ukip now hold the majority of UK delegation seats to the collective European Parliament.
