(ht WeaselZippers) The Department of Homeland Security’s civil rights watchdog has concluded that travelers along the nation’s borders may have their electronics seized and the contents of those devices examined for any reason whatsoever — all in the name of national security.
The DHS, which secures the nation’s border, in 2009 announced that it would conduct a “Civil Liberties Impact Assessment” of its suspicionless search-and-seizure policy pertaining to electronic devices “within 120 days.” More than three years later, the DHS office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties published a two-page executive summary of its findings. Corkins said he intended to “kill as many as possible and smear the Chick-Fil-A sandwiches in victims’ faces, and kill the guard.” The prosecutor said they reviewed the family computer and found that he identified his targets on the Southern Poverty Law Center’s web site.
Family Research Council President Tony Perkins later told FOX News that the far left Southern Poverty Law Center was responsible for creating the climate for the shooting.
WASHINGTON DC – A man accused of shooting a security guard inside the downtown Washington headquarters of a conservative Christian lobbying group pleaded guilty Wednesday in connection with the shooting.
Corkins pleaded guilty to one federal count of crossing state lines with guns and ammunition. He also pleaded guilty to one count of intent to kill while armed and one count of committing an act of terrorism with the intent to kill.
Those last two counts are District charges.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 29. (more…)
There is no reason to go into a long explanation of how this just becomes further evidence of the *true ideology* of the far left. It just is. The least they could do is ask you to show some form of ID before they killed you.
White House: “Legal, Ethical and Wise”…
WASHINGTON — Obama administration lawyers have asserted that it would be lawful to kill a United States citizen if “an informed, high-level official” of the government decided that the target was a ranking figure in Al Qaeda who posed “an imminent threat of violent attack against the United States” and if his capture was not feasible, according to a 16-page document made public on Monday.
The unsigned and undated Justice Department “white paper,” obtained by NBC News, is the most detailed analysis yet to come into public view regarding the Obama legal team’s views about the lawfulness of killing, without a trial, an American citizen who executive branch officials decide is an operational leader of Al Qaeda or one of its allies. Ron Paul sent out a tweet today.

Interestingly enough I was just talking about this yesterday. It is quite possible to be so far in one direction on the “Freedom Continuum” that you circle back around to the complete opposite side. (more…)
How do you get an ideological “Ally” to make a political move they are uncomfortable with?
You use leverage, heavy leverage….. It’s a Machiavellian Quid Pro Quo
But what leverage does President Obama have over current Turkish President, Erdogan?
What information would force Erdogan to make a move on Osama Bin Laden Jr? A move that Erdogan does not want to make hot make because his Islamist colleagues will not be happy. The answer is HERE.
It’s Machiavellian because both President Obama and President Erdogan are aligned both philosophically and ideologically. (more…)
Several weeks ago when doing research into Denis McDonough, Obama’s pick to be his Chief of Staff, we ran accross this older insightful comment from a former member of Chuck Hagel’s staff. I book marked it to review again during the confirmation hearings. Wow, this former employee of his staff really hits the nail on the head.
Watch this segment of his confirmation hearing first:
Now consider this from one of his staffers from March 2007:
At one time I worked in Senator Chuck Hagel’s office. I believe readers may be interested in my observations of Senator Hagel.
He has a limited educational background, and worked as a local broadcaster in Nebraska before getting his start as an aide to a Nebraska congressman in the 1970s. Before that, he fought in Vietnam, where he was seriously wounded. With his Capitol Hill background and war record, he obtained a high position in the Reagan administration’s Department of Veterans Affairs. Then he had some friends who were investing in the new cellular phone field; he sold his car to raise the funds to invest with them. That’s how he became a millionaire. And in a small state like Nebraska, that’s how a person possessed of the requisite ego, regardless of other qualifications, including intelligence, becomes a United States Senator. (more…)
SUPPORTING SOMEONE BECAUSE HE’S BLACK IS JUST AS RACIST AS NOT SUPPORTING SOMEONE BECAUSE HE’S BLACK.
It really is just a pure example of racism. Now that a Black President occupies The White House, the Congressional Black Caucus is ideologically aligning themselves with a proposal they have fought when advocated by former (white) Presidents.
People are afraid to speak bluntly about these issues, but this is the same determinative factor behind Colin Powell, a self-described “conservative” second, supporting President Obama. The CBC and like-minded politicians [Powell et al] are ideologically “black”, before they are ideologically “American”. Hence, the self-attached hyphenated descriptions, and the intentional order of the hyphen’s placement.
WASHINGTON DC – The Congressional Black Caucus is going to join the push for more low-wage immigration, reversing its stance in 2006 and 2007, when it avoided the controversy.
“Immigration reform will be one of our top three priorities this year,” Ayofemi Kirby, the caucus’ communications director, told The Daily Caller on Wednesday.
The caucus is also to protect the “Diversity Visa” program from the GOP’s efforts to zero it, she said. Elimination of the program “would lower the number of [black] immigrants from countries who already have low number of immigrants … [in the United States], especially sub-Sahara and Africa” and Caribbean countries. I doubt anyone could ever watch a more categorically inept nominee face questioning than former Republican Senator Chuck Hagel. President Obama appears to have nominated Hagel for only one reason – ideological synergy: Lead from behind, follow the principle of flawed R2P mindset, and intentionally diminish the capacity of the U.S. Military.
Clueless would be the best descriptive.
During the holidays we kept saying something was seriously wrong with the difference between what the Media was reporting, and what the actual companies involved in the economic transactions were saying. The media were intentionally misleading the broader public by selling positive economic talking points from Progressive Think Tanks of various forms (see Klugman and crew). The Legacy Media, in all its forms, was selling a line of B.S. Now the proof.
WASHINGTON DC – The nation’s economy unexpectedly shrank by 0.1 percent in the fourth quarter of 2012, casting fresh doubt on the strength of the economy recovery.
The new estimate of gross domestic product (GDP) from the Commerce Department marks the first time the economy shrank since it was in the depths of the recession in mid-2009.
The dip came as a surprise to economists. Experts had believed the U.S. would post a modest economic gain of slightly over 1 percent, after logging a 3.1 percent increase in the third quarter. (link)
As we shared back in September the 3rd quarter GDP was a total farce, a fabricated set of completely false economic data points. When people like Jack Welch were pointing it out the media were rabid in their attacks. There was no actual “growth” in the 3rd quarter either, it was all just a guise to cover for the election of Dear Leader. (more…)
