Here we go, we knew this was going to happen.   Both Russia and Iran (strategic economic BFF’s) are allied with the Assad regime.   The U.N. has declared they will remain neutral on the matter.   The United States has come out in support of al-Qaeda (Islamist rebels).  So the chess pieces are all in place for another proxy war.

Supporting the U.S. benefitted Islamists you have Turkey, Egypt, Libya and more recently Jordan.   Supporting the other side (Assad) you have Hezbollah, Iran and Russia.

It’s Afghanistan all over again.   Giddy up 🙁

SYRIA – Iran has decided to send a first contingent of 4,000 Iranian Revolutionary Guards to Syria to support President Bashar Assad’s forces against the largely Sunni rebellion, The Independent reported Sunday.

The British newspaper quoted pro-Iranian sources “which have been deeply involved in the Islamic Republic’s security” as saying that Tehran is now fully committed to preserving Assad’s regime, even to the extent of proposing to open up a new ‘Syrian’ front on the Golan Heights against Israel. “I’m very worried about getting involved in a new war in Syria. People say ‘Assad is such a bad guy.’ He is. But on the other side we have al-Qaida and now Nusra. They say there are some pro-Western people and we’re going to vet them. Well, apparently we’ve got a Senator over there who got his picture taken with some kidnappers, so I don’t know how good a job we’re going to do vetting those who are going to get the arms.”

“So there’s two ironies you have to overcome if you want to get involved in a war in Syria. The first irony is you will be allied with al-Qaida. The second irony is most of the Christians are on the other side, so you may be arming Islamic rebels who may well be killing Christians.”

It appears the “smartest administration ever”, has painted themselves into a corner – yet again.   The strikes from Israel are key indicators that Assad is going to fall, as al-Qaeda elements gain more and more control and weaponry.

(Boston)  Two men from Kazakhstan and a man from Cambridge were arrested and charged today in the Boston Marathon bombings investigation, federal prosecutors said.

Azamat Tazhayakov and Dias Kadyrbayev, both 19 and of New Bedford, were charged with conspiracy to obstruct justice by plotting to dispose of a laptop computer and a backpack containing fireworks belonging to bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the US attorney’s office said in a statement. (more…)

BOSTON – The first suspect in the Boston marathon bombing, who has been killed earlier Friday, has been identified as 26-year-old Tamerlan Tzarnaev, brother of Dzhokhar Tzarnaev, who still remains at large, according to NBC’s Pete Williams.  (link)

CNN reports the family fled Chechnya for Kazakhstan several years ago before ending up in Boston.   The older (deceased) brother was a college student at Bunker Community College, had aspired to become an engineer. He once posted on a social media account, “I don’t have any American friends, I don’t understand them.”

CNN states on air, “They are Islamic.”

I wonder if they’ll check for Ricin or Mercury…..   Shades of Georgi Markov ?  After all, it was only May 2012 when the last successful umbrella murder (pellet) took place [undisclosed victim].   And then there’s always Alexander Litvinenko ?

(REUTERS)  Boris Berezovsky, the Russian oligarch who helped broker Vladimir Putin’s rise to the Kremlin’s top job only to become his fierce enemy, has been found dead at his home in Britain in unclear circumstances. He was 67.

“His death is currently being treated as unexplained and a full inquiry is under way,” police said in a statement on Saturday that did not identify Berezovsky by name.

One of Putin’s fiercest critics, Berezovsky spoke openly of overthrowing the Russian leader and said he feared for his life though it was unclear how the mathematician-turned-tycoon had died. (more…)

“This is my last election, after my election I have more flexibility.”

Medvedev told Obama he understood and “will transmit this information to Vladimir.”

MOSCOW — The United States has effectively canceled the final phase of a Europe-based missile defense system that was fiercely opposed by Russia and cited repeatedly by the Kremlin as a major obstacle to cooperation on nuclear arms reductions and other issues.

You’ll never get a clue what’s being done to, and within, this country from the complicit “mainstream” media. But a KGB expert who defected to the good guys was explaining it for us back in the 80s. Yuri Bezmenov tried to warn us:

Cloward Piven approach to overloading the system, ie more takers than producers. The crisis produces benevolent leaders who will promise to deliver “things” (Hope and Change) to meet people’s needs through Social and Economic Justice. False illusions that the situation is under control if certain strategic directions are followed (Bailouts, Stimulus, Jobs Bills, Regulations of industry, Unconstitutional Power Grabs, Dismissal of Historical Laws, Changes in legislative processes, Changes in checks and balances of power etc). In A Really Cold Place – With a blinding flash and a booming shock wave, a meteor blazed across the sky over Russia’s Ural Mountains region Friday and exploded with the force of an atomic bomb, injuring more than 1,000 people as it blasted out windows and spread panic in a city of 1 million.

What was it like under that explosion? Watch this next video:

While NASA estimated the meteor was only about the size of a bus and weighed about 7,000 tons, the fireball it produced was dramatic. Video shot by startled residents of the city of Chelyabinsk showed its streaming contrails arcing toward the horizon just after sunrise, looking like something from a world-ending science-fiction movie.
