Credit where credit is due. The messaging from the White House about why they haven’t called the terrorist attacks “Islamic Terrorism” must have been a top priority in the past 48 hours. As noted in this shift expressed by Josh Earnest. The question was posed:

“The leader of France, your ally in this effort, has put a name on this ideology, which he calls radical Islam,” noted NPR’s Mara Liasson. “You have bent over backwards to not ever say that. There must be a reason.”

Josh Earnest Responds: “The first is accuracy. We want to describe exactly what happened. These are individuals who carried out an act of terrorism and they later tried to justify that act of terrorism by invoking the religion of Islam and their own deviant view of it. (more…)

While there is no current indication he died as a result of Ebola, he just returned from the ‘hot zone’, he was self-monitoring, and apparently he just collapsed and died.
KILLEEN, Texas – A neighborhood in a small town just outside Fort Hood in Texas was sealed off Tuesday after a soldier from the base was found dead in his yard.
Killeen police, a hazmat team and several ambulances responded to the scene after a report came in of a man’s body being found outside, reports CBS affiliate KWTX in Waco.
According to a release from Fort Hood, the soldier recently returned on emergency leave and was under established guidelines to self-monitor himself twice-a-day and report his status to medical officials. Fort Hood officials say there is no indication of the Ebola virus disease, but medical tests are being conducted. A neighbor told KWTX that he saw the body at about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.  (read more)

Both President Obama and Francois Hollande have refused to connect the terrorism in the U.S., France, Australia, Canada and North Africa to Islamic Extremism.  This cognitive disconnect they continue to exhibit exists despite the terrorists themselves clearly proclaiming their intents and motives.
(Via Vocativ) A new video released by an official ISIS forum shows Amedy Coulibaly, the 32-year-old terrorist who murdered four men during the Hyper Cacher siege in Paris, declaring his loyalty to the Islamic State.

“I’m a soldier of the Caliphate [ISIS] since the beginning,” Coulibaly says in the video. “Our group was coordinated before the attack. France is a legitimate target because [of] what they are doing to us.”
Coulibaly explains how he helped the Kouachi brothers prepare for the attack: “We did a few things together and a few things separately to maximize the impact. I helped them by giving them a few thousand euros to buy what they needed.” (more…)

INDIANA – An Indiana couple was arrested after police found videos of a one-year-old placing a real gun in her mouth, authorities said.
When police in Evansville, Indiana, arrested Michael Barnes last Thursday in connection with an armed robbery, they say they searched his phone and were shocked to find two videos of a toddler putting a gun in her mouth and holding the gun up as if to shoot someone else.
In the videos, a man and a woman can be heard prompting the child, who, in one video is dressed in only a brown onesie, to say “bang” and “shoot.” (more…)

Front National Party (FNP) is quite a bit more “nationalist” than what UKIP is to the United Kingdom, or the Tea Party to the USA.  However, FNP candidates won the last election cycle, carry 25% of parliament and the Socialist French President, Francois Hollande, carries only a 15-20% job approval rating.

The refusal to allow Nationalist participation is yet another example of how ideological the Fabian Socialist’s are when it comes to the will of the people.  Both Hollande and U.S. President Obama carry the same disposition toward their political opponents.

[…]  Earlier, Le Pen had told reporters that she trusted the government would have the wisdom to invite “the representatives of a party that polled 25% of the vote in the last election”, referring to last year’s European polls, in which the FN came first amid record-low turnout.
The question of whether to invite France’s far right presents a dilemma for Hollande’s Socialist government, which is traditionally averse to any dealings with a party it deems “un-republican”.

(Via Politico) “On February 18, 2015, the White House will host a Summit on Countering Violent Extremism to highlight domestic and international efforts to prevent violent extremists and their supporters from radicalizing, recruiting, or inspiring individuals or groups in the United States and abroad to commit acts of violence, efforts made even more imperative in light of recent, tragic attacks in Ottawa, Sydney, and Paris,” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said in a statement.

[…] “Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) efforts rely heavily on well-informed and resilient local communities. Boston, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis-St. Paul have taken the lead in building pilot frameworks integrating a range of social service providers, including education administrators, mental health professionals, and religious leaders, with law enforcement agencies to address violent extremism as part of the broader mandate of community safety and crime prevention,” he said. Up to 1.5 million people flooded Paris for march today, while 600,000 rally in other towns and cities around France. France’s Interior Ministry said crowds were larger than when country was liberated from the Nazis in WWII.
President Obama sent Eric Holder to represent the United States and show solidarity. Dozens of national heads of state were present, Eric Holder skipped the march.

CNN just reported Eric Holder did not attend #ParisMarch because he was attending high level meetings. With whom? Everyone was at rally.
