WASHINGTON DC – Rev. Jesse Jackson said Sunday apartheid still exists in the United States as he reflected on Nelson Mandela’s effect on American politics.

“Apartheid remains. Apartheid gaps in poverty, healthcare and education. We’re in the middle of the end of the apartheid struggle now, but it’s just changed phases,” he said on NBC News’s “Meet the Press.”
“For almost 30 years, we had a lead jump on the right to vote and used that right to vote to empower allies in South Africa,” Jackson said. (more…)

It’s not surprising.  It’s crap like this MSNBC/Pravda propaganda which infects the minds of Millennials, Twenty-somethings, and unfortunately youth currently in education.
It’s not surprising – but it’s sickening.   Really sickening.    The sad reality is – in their thirst to mold an agenda into reporting they miss a great opportunity to discuss real principles of freedom.   Then again, freedom doesn’t fit within a leftist-minded definition of liberty.
For the institutional left it’s always a mantra: freedom “from” – instead of freedom “of“.
When they use “from” they get to play the victim card and define the acceptable conduct of others.  If the left was forced to affirm freedom “of” they would actually have to drop their hypocritical ideology and accept the very tenet of liberty.

NEW JERSEY – A New Jersey waitress who raked in thousands in donations after claiming a couple didn’t tip her because she’s gay was fired from her job on Saturday.
Dayna Morales, 22, was finally canned from Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater — nearly a month after she made national headlines over what’s likely a hoax.
The restaurant announced her termination on Facebook Saturday shortly after it was revealed she was returning donations from supporters across the world.
“In light of … recent events, both Ms. Morales and Gallop Asian Bistro have made a joint decision that Ms. Morales will no longer continue her employment at our restaurant,” the eatery wrote. “We wish her well in the future.” (more…)

Two Memphis 15-year olds, Derek Cunningham and Corey Sandifer, will be tried as adults for the brutal murder of J. P. Shelley; a General contractor in Tennessee.

The victim, Mr. Shelley, was a father of two, and a general contractor who was at work when two teens robbed him at gunpoint.
According to police investigative reports Mr. Shelley complied with every request they made – yet they shot him in the chest anyway. The circumstances around the shooting point to a specific intent to murder and not just a random robbery, but that consideration is highly uncomfortable for the media to report.

Looks like California is intent on driving people to ObamaCare whether they want it or not.   “Covered CA”  gives insurance agents contact information for thousands of people who checked out the website.   All Your Personals Are Belong To Us !
CALIFORNIA – Raising concerns about consumer privacy, California’s health exchange has given insurance agents the names and contact information for tens of thousands of people who went online to check out coverage but didn’t ask to be contacted.
The Covered California exchange said it started handing out this consumer information this week as part of a pilot program to help people enroll ahead of a Dec. 23 deadline to have health insurance in place by Jan. 1.
State officials said they are only trying to help potential customers find insurance and sign up in time. But some insurance brokers and consumers who were contacted said they were astonished by the state’s move. (more…)

(Via WSJ)  President Obama has found someone to blame for the Affordable Care Act’s rolling failures besides Republicans. ObamaCare is the government’s fault, not his.
On Thursday, Mr. Obama dropped by American University for a heart to heart with Chris Matthews, and the MSNBC host wondered who in the executive branch is responsible for the botched health-care rollout. Mr. Obama listed a few impersonal culprits including “cynicism,” “Washington gridlock” and “the management of government,” but he then drifted into another classic. (more…)

I really wanted to hunker down and ride it out.  But the insufferable propaganda around the death of Nelson Mandela is too much to ignore. Rather than deconstruct all of these ridiculous liberal CNN-isms and talking points, let’s just cut it down to brass tacks and stick to historical facts.
Apartheid as a political structure in South Africa was bad. Oppression under any guise is always wrong.
But with Apartheid you must step back to the geo-political map of 1976-1990 and evaluate the alternatives.
A bunch of stuff happened between the fall of the Shah of Iran and the collapse of the Berlin Wall / Soviet Empire which framed the backdrop for U.S. political discussion and eventual activity in South Africa.
Namely, for those of us who were actually engaged in the fight, the last big push of desperate Communist expansion was underway.  (more…)

There is no mention in the accompanying report about former President Jimmy Carter joining a coalition of U.S. dignitaries for the Mandela funeral / memorial.

Could Mr Peanut have been excluded from invite because it was his administration who designated Nelson Mandela as an international terrorist?    Hmmmmmm….

The trip will be for “memorial services next week,” but Ford didn’t specify whether that means the Obamas and Bushes will attend a large memorial planned for Dec. 10 in Johannesburg or go to the state funeral set for Dec. 15 in Mandela’s hometown, and referred questions to the White House.    (read more details)

Last month in Lunenburg Massachusetts a bi-racial family claimed they were victims of racist attacks against their son.    The story gained massive media attention and was highlighted on CNN with Anderson Cooper’s AC360 show.
The claim (outlined in this video) was made against the backdrop of a white mother and black father claiming their bi-racial son was discriminated against on his football team and subjected to racist epithets.  To boost their claim they pointed to graffiti being spray painted on the side of their home, and they accused the football team of doing it.   The team coach took the accusation seriously and cancelled all football games until the suspect could be identified and arrested.
