In what will be remembered for a remarkable set of geopolitical statements that cover roughly four-minutes, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy decrees the administration of President Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio no longer represents a nation who believe in the advancement of global protection and the responsibility to protect smaller nations.
Whoever inside the Zelensky administration is writing these speeches, is purposefully antagonizing the United States and trying to create further division internally. These are very strategically written works of snark from a very particular psychology. I strongly urge everyone to listen to these remarks as they highlight the disturbing intent of a Machiavellian deceiver. [Video and Transcript Below]
Zelenskyy, framing himself as the global judge of all things virtuous and victimized, notes the importance of the American mid-term election happening today, then uses that American context to cast aspersions toward statements made by President Trump, JD Vance (Berlin security conference ’25) and Marco Rubio (Acropolis in Athens). Zelenskyy then states vision behind the Statue of Liberty -which he cites- is no longer available as a guiding light of optimism to the world.
[Transcript 03:13] – “Today, November 3rd, the world will be watching one country: America. Elections are taking place there today, and they will shape the future of the United States Congress, the future of American policy, and the future of those who are used to the United States always being somewhere nearby.
People still have this strong memory of an America they could count on with confidence, without even having to think about it, almost like air. And many still remember the United States that they never had to fear would suddenly disappear from the security map—a map where dozens of countries at different times searched for their place and found it. They were searching because they lacked this very resource, security, and they knew that America was not just a source of freedom.”
“America also stood for certain rules in the world—rules that gave people and nations something real to count on, a certain way of life where freedom truly mattered, and certain relationships between countries backed by real security guarantees.
America brought predictability and a dream: “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest – tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door.”
It’s a beautiful dream, and its horizon is the human desire for freedom; its heart is the ability to guarantee security for yourself, for your family, for your life. And this is what brought people together around America. But but we have already seen the days after which the world felt that this picture might no longer exist.
So, in America, elections always come in November; then there is a little time until January for everyone to calm down somehow and get used to the changes. And, of course, sometimes people never really get used to them. Right now, things are deeply uncertain. Many hopes may once again end in disappointment, not because America will become weaker or less interested in the world around it, but because many in America believe it will always stay that way, and that the world can somehow manage without American involvement and without American support for those who simply want the same kind of change in their own countries that free nations have already achieved.
The new generation in America talks, cares, and thinks about different things—not the things that mattered to those who began their journey back in the 20th century.
So, what does this mean for everyone else in the world? We all know the answer, even if many don’t want to say it out loud.
Maybe America will not live its existing alliances; maybe it will still be somewhere within reach; maybe it will speak of our shared past in Athens, with the Parthenon behind it, or somewhere here in Berlin, in places where freedom won a decisive battle for Europe. But it may still be an America that is much more focused on itself—an America that thinks much less about the fact that without it, others might lose their security.
Let me remind you uh one—one statement: “America, the guarantor to the world for the last 80 years, is no longer there.” And these are the words of a serving US ambassador, a very influential, by the way, person. And it wasn’t some shocking news—no, just another fact about the world as it has become.
Those words were spoken in the Gulf, and that makes them especially telling. Few places believed more strongly in that America—the America that guarantees security—and now all they are thinking about is how to prevent another outbreak of full-scale war.
Ladies and gentlemen, we in Europe need to hear this too, and not just because Europe’s own security is so closely tied to America. It’s about more than that.
Ukraine is grateful to the United States, and for us, this gratitude is not something abstract. It’s not about some security promise made long ago—a promise we hope will still be kept. It’s about help, yes, that protects lives here and now in this brutal and insane war that Russia is waging against us.
Without America, thousands and thousands more Ukrainians would have been killed by Russian strikes, and millions more would have become refugees. That’s why we always thank America, and we mean it—even when we say thank you many times in one speech, just to make sure those who sometimes feel we haven’t thanked them enough can hear us.”

The Statue of Liberty should be given back to France. They need it
Agreed.
And hey Zelensky you little troll, if you think this about us then put your tin cup away and go get your ass kicked by Ruskies. Little twit
Why?
Paris already has some seven or eight replicas. One of which was a full 1/4 scale replica gifted from Americans years ago.
Obviously another Statue of Liberty in Paris is not going to change the underlying culture and as soon as the Muslims finally take over world be as good as scrap. It would be a wasted effort.
The Trump administration “no longer represents a nation who believe in the advancement of global protection and the responsibility to protect smaller nations”?
Uh – yeah. Has he been living in a cave? R2P is dead. It’s been dead for a while now. In fact, it was never what it was purported to be in the first place: a responsibility to intervene in a country’s internal affairs to protect its people. It was never anything more than moral posturing used to by globalist leaders to justify selectively interfering wherever they wanted for whatever reason they wanted.
Hilary Clinton’s laughing “we came – we saw. – he died” quote, referring to killing Gaddafi, is the perfect cynical reflection of R2P, uttered at the same time massacres were happening in sub-Saharan Africa that didn’t make the evening news so no one cared, least of all Hil.
History didn’t begin 5 years ago, or 50, or 100, or 200. Russia should not have invaded Ukraine. But NATO should not have moved right up to Russia’s border after promising they would not. And given the history of The Great Game, the bolshevik murder of the Tsar’s family, relatives of the British royal family, and likely lingering resentments in that regard as well, not to mention George Washington’s warning against permanent alliances – how in the world is the Russia Ukraine war ANY of America’s business?

What a cry me the blues pan handler.
Must say that Z has evolved as a true beggar, yet he did try so very hard to claim the US is obligated to get Ukraine out of this mess. What is very odd is how Z painted Germany as the EU savior, and yet the financials of Germany, are in no position to help themselves let alone help an entire continent.
It is the perfect time to cut ties with this mess, it is not our mess and the EU must grow their own testicles instead of counting on others.
As for Z he will be dead soon and be irrelevant, just as he was when being penis the piano player.
Why is this man still breathing?
Heck with zelinsky and his and Europe’s need for the USA. The first time I went to Europe back in the 80’s I was told to pretend I was a Canadian. Wear the maple leaf on your coat because Americans were not liked. I was treated rudely in Germany in the 90s on another trip when the people my age found out I was American.
I just rationalized it to be jealousy. Regardless of what it really could be (shame of dependence taught) I know Americans were disliked. So pound sand Z and EU.
“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest – tossed to me…”
IT’S A P-O-E-M, NOT POLICY!!
“The New Colossus”, by Emma Lazarus
And, if I remember correctly, was not even on the statue when originally erected.
I thought I could not hate this little money-grubbing drug addict more than I do. He just disabused me of that notion.
I concur. Z is a wretched little man. He is emboldened by his protectors.
American tax payers response to this speech:
USA is $40-trillion
in debt.
The days of propping up those who hate us (i.e. Europe, Canada, Ukraine and several others) are over.
Why did I just read this little man’s drivel?
Cut all funding / help to this insolent bastard yesterday.
Winners get it done. Losers always expect someone else to provide for them…bill
This clown actor has overstayed his welcome from US bigtime and it is time to say good-bye baby good-bye!!! I know Trump and Rubio and the Team will know what to do once the mids are over-which is now!!! I think little Z will regret this little tirade of a speech handed to him to parrot for EU fools.
This will be interesting for sure . I continue to pray for Trump’s discernment. Justice is coming.
If this little jerkoff is so worried about elections, he should try having some elections in his own country, for a change!
And, let’s be honest, apart from his saber rattling friends in the EU, is there anyone who is less concerned about protecting Ukrainian lives, than Lil’ Z, himself? The only thing that he is interested in protecting, is the cash flow into his own personal bank accounts. Frankly, the only way to save Ukraine and Ukrainians, is to get rid of your dopey ass!!! If a color revolution was ever needed / justified, it is needed now, more than ever, because there will never be peace while this joker has any semblance of power. He bought into the EU’s scheme to destroy Russia and he should have had the sense that God gave a radish, to avoid such a conflict.
It’s not the job of the US to bail Europe out, every time that they start a war among themselves. We have already gone above and beyond, down that path and it is time that we learned some hard lessons from it. If Europe wants to destroy themselves, their people and their heritage, then they had better do it and decrease the surplus population.
Excellent speech written by the IC.
Trying to shame Americans, who have carried very heavy burdens for others, into remaining the dumb giant.
American protectionism has made the world weak.
We are not the global insurance policy.
The USA gave up trying to be “The World’s Policeman.”
This little pathetic grifting POS and shakedown hustler can go pound sand.
I can’t stand that guy.
Fu*k that little coke dwarf.
Don’t deliver the patriot system…let the people who started this war provide it…on their own dime
Can he even hear what he says, from a country that no longer has elections at all because of him, on our election day?
I just couldn’t listen to that BS…Europe is self destructing…hard to tell which nation is worse but UK and Germany have been actively curtailing energy production plus promoting massive immigration from lesser developed nations…
