Not to put too fine a point on it, yet knowing President Polling is going to deliver a magnanimous prime-time speech in a few days, the Syrian conversation with Chuck Todd needs, or, well, deserves a little e-x-p-a-n-s-i-o-n.
During a rather revealing part of the interview between Chuck Todd and President Obama the specific issue of Syria came up surrounding ISIS. Viewers should note in the entire dialogue it was not Obama who brought up Syria, it was Chuck Todd. (Video @9:20)
Mr. Todd even seemed a little perplexed with having to do it; albeit reluctantly, as if he knew he needed to. If Chuck Todd’s new role on MTP is to attempt credibility retention he held no choice, he had to bring up the geography. Todd specifically needed to ask, because Dear Leader avoided mentioning Syria throughout the previous ten minutes:

Chuck Todd interjects “but WHO”?
President Obama has publicly committed himself to the removal of Syrian head Basher Assad. His public proclamations to Assad’s removal make getting cooperation from the Syrian National Army a little disingenuous amid the option scale.
Additionally we know the Free Syrian Army (FSA) is little more than a corrupted fractured contingent of ne’er-do-wells, most of which defected to join ISIS. And then we have Dear Leader’s previous statements saying to the New York Times’ Tom Freidman it is “fantasy” to think “an opposition made up of former doctors, farmers, pharmacists and so forth” could battle “a well-armed state backed by Russia, backed by Iran, [and] a battle-hardened Hezbollah.”
So naturally Chuck Todd had to ask the question: Whose boots does Obama plan on supporting?
To wit POTUS puts three groups on the table: The Syrian national army, ISIS, and some weirdly defined “Moderate Opposition” – and then says we should support the moderate opposition who are “pinched between the Syrian Army and ISIS“.

There are moments in edited TV content when a keyed-in viewer can see a cut intended to make a “comfort edit”, smoothing out the narrative. The Chuck Todd interview with President Obama was riddled with them. Even when being interviewed by a fellow ideological traveler.
But first to content: On ISIS: @00:24 “this administration has” – President Obama using third person distancing tactic discussing an uncomfortable negative. When the topic is positive, or viewed as favorable currency, the term “my administration” is used. @01:05 “what I have done over the past several months” – President Obama knowing he was caught flat-footed, having called ISIS “JV”, and having admitted not having a strategy is now trying to give appearance of them having been working on this all along. @01:45 “the next phase, is to start going on some offense” – Again, framing incompetence as if there was a previous outline/plan in place. This is similar to the re-writing of the Syrian RED LINE strategy, ‘yeah, yeah, we, um, we meant to um, create that Russian intervention WMD thing’. Embarrassingly juvenile for a President. (more…)

Whatever John Morgan wants – John Morgan gets… He was resoundingly successful until he wanted George Zimmerman convicted – and then he ran into us.
John Morgan and the cabal of political ilk who align with John Morgan do not like us.
Under Democrat governance the U.S. State Department has lost control, and is now openly being run by a college crowd of Brangelina beatniks. Let us not forget the 2010 WikiLeaks Cables’ fiasco which forced Secretary Hillary Clinton to fly around the globe for an entire year apologizing for the childish behavior of her underlings.
Under Secretary John Kerry, as unbelievable as this sounds, the lack of professionalism has actually worsened.
With all of the global challenges like: oh, say ISIS beheading U.S. citizens, Russia essentially invading Ukraine, Libya in a state of civil war, Syria destroyed from the inside out, North African radical islamists attacking and kidnapping non-muslims, Iran rushing to get a nuclear bomb, North Korea launching missile strikes and China replaying Tiananmen 2.0 – the State Department’s Marie Harf chooses to use her platform to attack Fox News Bill O’Reilly.
Unfortunately such is the state of current affairs. A prominent Egyptian official is telling his constituency, and the world, the reason Egypt and U.S. relations are so poor is because President Obama and John Kerry demand the Severe Islamists be included in policy decisions. Egypt categorically rejects the considerations of radical Islamic extremism, and will not bow to pressure from the United States to be more accommodating toward the radicals within the Muslim Brotherhood. Fatah el-Sisi is going to be speaking to the U.N. General Assembly in New York on September 25th. I’m thinking that David Cameron and President Obama should be forced to sit in the front row and listen to a real leader who understands the extremist problem.
(EGYPT) Nabil Fahmy, the former Egyptian foreign minister and a previous ambassador to the US, said that relations between Cairo and Washington remain strained because of the US’s insistence of allowing Islamists to participate in the political process.
In an Egyptian television interview on Sunday evening, Fahmy said that “the Americans have not appropriately learned the lesson of dealing with terrorism” and that they “contacted us constantly in order to integrate streams of political Islam into the political process,” the Egyptian newspaper Al-Masry al-Youm reported.

This has to be the least surprising headline of the summer. It would be far less obvious if the DOJ were just to put out a big neon sign saying:
“We can’t find anything to substantiate the arrest or conviction of Officer Darren Wilson, so in order to appease the professional grievance community, and in an attempt to stop riots and general mayhem, we will announce a program to make the police department jump through PC hoops for the next five years – good enough”?
(Washington Post) Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. this week will launch a broad civil rights investigation into the Ferguson, Mo., Police Department, according to two federal law enforcement officials.
The investigation, which could be announced as early as Thursday afternoon, will be conducted by the Justice Department’s civil rights division and follow a process similar to that used to investigate complaints of profiling and the use of excessive force in other police departments across the country, the officials said.
The move follows the shooting last month of Michael Brown, an 18-year-old African American, by a white Ferguson police officer who claimed he acted in self-defense. Brown, who was unarmed, was shot at least six times on the afternoon of Aug. 9.
Holder’s decision will represent the Obama administration’s most aggressive step to address the Ferguson shooting, which set off days of often-violent clashes between police and demonstrators in the streets of the St. Louis suburb. (more…)
This is a subject of great familiarity to the Treehouse. It is not necessarily an Eric Holder / President Obama construct either. According to EEO law it is unlawful to check the work authorization of any employment applicant, IF the screening has a disparate impact on a federally protected category of personage. In reality the law, as applied, means you cannot check the employment eligibility of applicants if the screening creates disqualified applicants who are disproportionately Latino (race discrimination); which they automatically will be. Ergo -technically, and lawfully- you cannot screen applicants for residency or employment eligibility. That is why fake documents are so easy for an illegal to use to gain employment; the employer is not allowed to check, or verify, their legitimacy.
