WASHINGTON DC – Congressional Democrats introduced a new and broader assault-weapons ban  Thursday, in a vivid press conference that included a display of various weapons  they want to outlaw.

It was a measure that was quickly condemned by the National Rifle Association  as an assault on the Constitution, “instead of prosecuting criminals or fixing  our broken mental health system.”

“The American people know gun bans do not work and we are confident Congress  will reject Senator Feinstein’s wrong-headed approach,” spokeswoman Andrew  Arulanandam said.

The measure was written by Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who was behind  the original 1994 assault-weapons ban which expired in 2004. It marks the first  major legislative step since President Obama, in the wake of the Newtown school  shooting, called for new gun control measures including a new and stronger  assault-weapons ban. Liberals and Progressives demand religion is removed from all aspects of public life. Religion, and any mention of God, is forcibly removed from schools, religion is mocked repeatedly. Dem/Prog/Libs are constantly on a crusade to remove God from society, while the Liberal leaders dismiss religion as irrelevant and use ridicule as a weapon against God.

Eastern Sports and Outdoor show had previously caved to political correctness (cultural marxism) and made a decision to remove sporting rifles from it’s Outdoor show.   The NRA and sporting enthusiasts responded with a movement to boycott the show, vendors pulled out and it appeared the show was going to be a complete failure.  So the company cancelled the event. 

(Wash Examiner)  Reed Exhibitions has decided to postpone, for now, the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show given the controversy surrounding its decision to limit the sale or display of modern sporting rifles (also called ARs) at the event. The show was scheduled to take place February 2-10 in Harrisburg, PA.

“Our original decision not to include certain products in the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show this year was made in order to preserve the event’s historical focus on the hunting and fishing traditions enjoyed by American families,” said Chet Burchett, Reed Exhibitions President for the Americas. “In the current climate, we felt that the presence of MSRs would distract from the theme of hunting and fishing, disrupting the broader experience of our guests. Because he makes gun parts for a living this policy holder received a letter from GEICO cancelling his auto insurance. The letter says his auto insurance is being cancelled because he owns a company that manufactures parts for firearms:

Four suspects are facing trial in New York  this week for brutally beating a man on the Lower East Side of Manhattan in a  fight that was recorded on video.

The beating, which left 37-year-old Kyam  Washington’s skull fractured and gave him permanent hearing loss, occurred at  Essex and Rivington Streets around 4 a.m. on May 8, 2010.

Video of the fight was released to the public  at a trial for the four suspects: Andrew McCray, Martrell Terrell, Shadia  Brackman and Christopher Montanez, who are all from Yonkers.  (link)

Many people will dismiss this claim as ridiculous or outlandish.  However, the originator holds considerable merit, and if you have read the actual research you know this is not an extreme position.  We have previously shared the fact based reality of numerous studies, funded by the military, identifying the primary psychology behind a willingness to fire upon citizens.

Get ready to explode folks. “The new litmus test of leadership in the military is if they will fire on US citizens or not.” Those who will not are being removed.

(Canada Free Press)  Forget Wal-Mart and skip your local gun show. The murderers of tomorrow will not be found wearing orange vests at your local sporting goods store. They won’t have NRA memberships or trophies on their walls.

You won’t find them in America. Look for them in Obamerica.

67% of firearm murders took place in the country’s 50 largest metro areas. The 62 cities in those metro areas have a firearm murder rate of 9.7, more than twice the national average. Among teenagers the firearm murder rate is 14.6 or almost three times the national average. Those numbers are from six years ago. They have grown worse since.

Those are the crowded cities of Obamerica. The places with the most restrictive gun control laws and the highest crime rates. These are the places where the family is broken, money comes from the government and immigrants crowd in from some of the most violent parts of the world bringing with them their own organized crime. These are also the places that have run by Democrats and their political machines for almost as long as they have been broken. (more…)

Much of the conversation in our United States is about banning AR-15 type rifles from citizens.   The left wants to ban guns, the right wants to retain their constitutionally protected 2nd amendment right.

However, one only needs to look across the pond to see what is left for defense after a decade of bans on firearms.   This is not a spoof, this is an actual article from the Daily Mail about removing dangerous kitchen instruments in their “campaign aiming to end knife crime”.   The citations and quotes with the pictures are, well, priceless:
