The erosion of state’s rights, and the triumph of optics over common sense continues:
FORT KENT Maine (Reuters) – Declaring Ebola fears in the United States “not entirely rational,” a judge rejected Maine’s bid for a quarantine on a nurse who treated victims of the disease in West Africa but tested negative for it, and instead imposed limited restrictions.

Two days ago Attorney General Eric Holder protested leaks from within the investigation of Ferguson; he said “they need to shut up“. {{*nudge, nudge, wink, wink*}}
Following Holder’s protestations, less than a few hours passed before Trymaine Lee was the recipient of more DOJ leaks saying the DOJ intended to “shake up” the Ferguson Police Department.
This ‘do-as-we-say’ approach follows the New York Times outlining DOJ leaks showcasing a non-existent case, and aligned with CNN outlining more DOJ leaks claiming the intention of Eric Holder to deconstruct the entire Police Department.

Of course all of this conflicting DOJ-led reporting is annoying for the police chief, mayor, city council and government officials in and around Ferguson Missouri, and prosecutors in Saint Louis who have retained security of the evidence and have NOT been leaking information to the media.
As Police Chief Thomas Jackson told CNN yesterday, Eric Holder -or any representative acting on his behalf- has not talked to a single person in government of Ferguson, nor conducted a single interview. Quite the opposite, neither he, the major, city council, nor anyone from any agency have talked to these mysterious federal officials that Eric Holder is now claiming are making decisions about what is to take place. Democrats are using racial ads intended to stoke racial strife with images of Ferguson and Trayvon Martin
But not all Democrats are happy with the transparent tactic.
All of the evidence in the Mike Brown shooting case was/is directly copied and transferred to the DOJ since the DOJ opened an official inquiry three days after the shooting on August 11th 2014.
According to both CNN and The New York Times, the leaks to their outlets have come from inside the federal Department of Justice. Also, Chris King, an editor for a black audience newspaper in Saint Louis admitted the contact source, willing to leak him information, was a federal official. (more…)
Wow. Senator Mary Landrieu doesn’t just go there with the race-baiting and sexist attacks, she climbs to the peak of Mount Desperate and firmly plants her flag.
…“And, number two, to be very, very honest with you the South is not always the friendliest place for African Americans. It’s been a difficult time for the president to present himself in a very positive light as a leader. It’s not always been a good place for women to be able to present ourselves. It’s a conservative place.”….
Because all conservative places are racist and sexist dontchaknow…
Saint Louis County Prosecuting Attorney, Robert P McCullough, strikes back against U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.

The New York Times, CNN and Editor Chris King have all admitted the leaks to them are from Washington DC.
Weird, I didn't hear CNN say they were debunking their own reporting from the other night in this "exclusive" pic.twitter.com/5pFxt2fJsz

Ferguson Mayor James Knowles confirmed yesterday the source of the leaks to CNN about him, his administration and the police department, was (and is) from the Department of Justice.
Ferguson mayor Knowles tells me that he was told by CNN that their source is DOJ.

In addition last week the New York Times confirmed the source of their article, about evidence in the Mike Brown shooting, was also the DOJ in Washington DC.
Knowing the DOJ are the leakers, watch this video:
In addition Trymaine Lee (MSNBC) is again the recipient of DOJ leaked information today:
[…] The plan, described by a source with direct knowledge of the plans as “extremely delicate,” said the details are still being hashed out in closed-door meetings between Ferguson city and St. Louis County officials who have sought consultation from the Justice Department, which is conducting a civil rights investigation into the shooting death of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown in August. The DOJ (Eric Holder and CRS Head Grande Lum) are up to their tricks again. CNN reports on federal officials who say Police Chief Thomas Jackson is leaving to quell Ferguson unrest. *Big Alerts and Flashy Signals For Emphasis*
Police Chief Jackson has no idea what they’re talking about; no-one has talked to him.
(CNN) — The police chief in Ferguson, Missouri, is expected to step down as part of the effort by city officials to reform the Police Department, according to government officials familiar with the discussions ongoing between local, state and federal officials.
Under the proposed plan, after Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson leaves, city leadership would ask the St. Louis County police chief to take over management of Ferguson’s police force. (more…)
