Inspect General Outlines Extensive Use of FBI Confidential Human Sources on January 6, 2021

The Office of the Inspector General for the DOJ (DOJ-OIG) has outlined an 88-page report on events around the January 6th, 2021, DC protest. The report is AVAILABLE HERE.

FBI Director Chris Wray announced his decision to resign from office one day before the Inspector General report was released. The report shows that 26 FBI Confidential Human Sources (CHSs) were used officially and unofficially during the J6 events. Four entered the Capitol building, another 13 entered the restricted area around the building.

[OIG REPORT HERE]

The report found that no official FBI employees participated in the events, but 26 confidential human sources were used.  The media are jumping on the part about no FBI employees being present in order to call those who view the FBI as facilitating and coordinating the events of J6 as “conspiracy theorists.”  However, the FBI’s use of CHSs is downplayed and dismissed.

A major topline takeaway from the report in general is how much effort the FBI put into investigating the assembly pre J6.   When you read the IG explanation of the CHSs [Page 50 and beyond] you get a really good feel for how the FBI was focused and positioned before the day unfolded.

Police Arrest Suspect in Healthcare CEO Assassination

The police have arrested Luigi Mangione, 26, in Pennsylvania for the murder of UnitedHealth executive Brian Thompson.

Apparently, Mangione still had the handgun and multiple items of physical evidence connecting him to the assassination.

(Reuters) -Authorities have arrested the man suspected of killing UnitedHealth executive Brian Thompson in a brazen shooting outside a Manhattan hotel last week, New York City officials said on Monday, ending a massive five-day manhunt.

The suspect, identified as Luigi Mangione, 26, was captured in Altoona, Pennsylvania, after he was spotted eating at a McDonald’s by an employee of the fast food restaurant who believed he resembled the gunman, officials said at a news conference.

Mangione was found with a “ghost gun” – a firearm assembled from parts, making it untraceable – and a silencer consistent with the weapon used to shoot Thompson, New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said, as well as clothing and a mask similar to those worn by the killer. The ghost gun may have been produced by a 3D printer, said Joseph Kenny, the NYPD’s chief of detectives.

Daniel Penny Found “Not Guilty”

Justice served, albeit painfully long in the outcome.

Veteran Daniel Penny has been found not guilty of the charge of ‘criminally negligent homicide’ by a jury in New York City.  The prior charge of ‘manslaughter’ was previously dropped after the jury deadlocked on the count.

(VIA AP) – A Marine veteran who used a chokehold on an agitated subway rider was acquitted on Monday in a death that became a prism for differing views about public safety, valor and vigilantism.

A Manhattan jury cleared Daniel Penny of criminally negligent homicide in Jordan Neely’s 2023 death. A more serious manslaughter charge was dismissed earlier in deliberations because the jury deadlocked on that count.

Both charges were felonies and carried the possibility of prison time.

Penny, who had shown little expression during the trial, briefly smiled as the verdict was read. Both applause and anger erupted in the courtroom, and Neely’s father and two supporters were told to leave after making various remarks — including vulgarities from one of the supporters. Another person also left, wailing with tears.

Penny’s lawyers said he was protecting himself and other subway passengers from a volatile, mentally ill man who was making alarming remarks and gestures. (read more)

Interestingly, Ben Crump didn’t represent the Neely ‘family’ inside this case.  However, that will likely not stop the grievance industry from using the not guilty verdict in an attempt to enlist chaotic support from Antifa and the remnants of BLM.

Jurors Deadlocked in Daniel Penny Trial – Judge Says Keep Deliberating, Contemplating Allen Charge

The jurors in the trial of Daniel Penny have been in deliberations since Tuesday. Today the jury informed the judge they are deadlocked and unable to come to a verdict.

The 12-person jury sent a note Friday morning saying they are having trouble reaching a consensus on whether to convict Penny, 26, of “recklessly” causing Neely’s death by placing him in a six-minute chokehold back in May 2023. If the jury continues to be unable to reach a verdict, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Maxwell Wiley would be required to give them what’s known as an “Allen” charge, urging them to reach a unanimous verdict.

NEW YORK – Jurors are deadlocked in the case of marine veteran Daniel Penny, 24, who pled not guilty to manslaughter charges brought on after he held street performer Jordan Neely in a fatal chokehold on a New York City subway train last year.

Jurors began deliberations on Tuesday in the trial of a military veteran accused of causing the death of a man with a chokehold on a New York subway, and ended with uncertainty this morning as the jury failed to come to a decision.

DEA Nominee Chad Chronister Withdraws from Nomination

Hillsborough County Sherrif Chad Chronister, a COVID-19 mandate enforcer, has withdrawn his name from nomination as head of the Drug Enforcement Agency.  Chronister announces via Twitter:

Many people are wondering who recommended him to President-elect Donald Trump (possible hint below).  No one is certain, but the withdrawal is a positive sign.  This guy was one of the worst sheriffs in Florida for COVID-19 enforcement, and leans left under the mask of leaning right.

For President Trump this withdrawal is a slight hiccup, and he will likely not be happy with the person who recommended the nomination.

“Over the past several days, as the gravity of this very important responsibility set in, I’ve concluded that I must respectfully withdraw from consideration. There is more work to be done for the citizens of Hillsborough County and a lot of initiatives I am committed to fulfilling. I sincerely appreciate the nomination, outpouring of support by the American people, and look forward to continuing my service as Sheriff of Hillsborough County.”

FBI Arrests Homeless Man In Bomb Plot Against U.S. Stock Exchange

According to breaking media reports the suspect, Harun Abdul-Malik Yener, was homeless.

Yet somehow, he found the resources to travel from Florida to New York and assemble the contents of a device that would be used to bomb the New York Stock Exchange.

NEW YORK – U.S. law enforcement on Wednesday arrested a homeless Florida man and charged him with plotting to bomb the New York Stock Exchange after an undercover employee recorded him saying, “I feel like Bin Laden,” federal officials allege.

The suspect, Harun Abdul-Malik Yener, took steps to set off a bomb outside the stock exchange on Wall Street in lower Manhattan, according to an FBI affidavit. The affidavit was filed in support of a criminal complaint charging Yener with attempting to damage or destroy a building used in interstate commerce by means of an explosive.

Yener has been assigned a federal public defender in the Southern District of Florida whose office did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for a statement regarding his defense.

Texas AG Ken Paxton Sends Letter of Criminal Referral to DOJ Outlining Act Blue Illegal Campaign Finance Activity

Many people might think that Attorney General Ken Paxton filing a letter of notice for criminal referral to the U.S Dept of Justice is an act of futility, because the DOJ is not going to investigate or indict criminal conduct by leftist political operatives.  However, there is a strategic process to follow, particularly if the Texas AG is likely to become the next U.S. Attorney General.

In a way this step-by-step proactive approach is exactly why my efforts to intercept fraudulent ballot printing operations in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania were targeted to the Postmasters General in specific locales.  It is unlawful to use the U.S.P.S. to conduct fraud through the postal system.  Additionally, it is specifically illegal for a postmaster to be provided with direct evidence of mail fraud, and to knowingly – with intent, allow further unlawful activity therein.

Texas AG Ken Paxton is following a procedural process that builds a legal pathway.

TEXAS – Attorney General Ken Paxton made a criminal referral to the Department of Justice (“DOJ”) detailing the results of an investigation that revealed how suspicious actors seemingly use ActBlue’s political fundraising platform to make illegal straw donations.

Colin Gray, Father of 14-Year-Old School Shooter, Charged with Murder and Manslaughter

This is an interesting aspect to the latest school shooting in Georgia, and I’m not sure exactly what to think of this new approach. The father of the 14-year-old shooter Colt Gray, has been arrested and charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second-degree murder and eight counts of cruelty to children.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced the arrest of Colin Gray, the father of Colt Gray, the 14-year-old boy accused of opening fire at Apalachee High School, resulting in the deaths of four individuals including two students and two teachers.

Colin Gray, aged 54, faces severe charges including four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second-degree murder, and eight counts of cruelty to children, highlighting the escalating scrutiny on parental responsibilities in safeguarding firearms. (more)

Arrest warrants said he caused the deaths of others “by providing a firearm to Colt Gray with knowledge that he was threat to himself and others.”

President Trump Delivers Remarks on Crime and Safety in Howell, Michigan

The media attempted to paint President Trump into a corner created by Brian Fallon and the Harris campaign, accusing President Trump of visiting a racist community in Michigan – quite silly really.  However, President Trump deftly handled the gotcha effort, thinking quick and turning the narrative back upon the reporter.

Reporter asked to respond to Harris Campaign accusation if Trump is only coming to Howell Michigan to appeal to the white supremacists in the area.  President Trump said: “Who was here in 2021?”  The reporter replied: “Joe Biden.”  President Trump: “Ha Ha, THANK YOU!” Mic Drop
