On the heels of South Carolina Governor Haley’s comments about eliminating future Black Bike Week events the North Myrtle Beach community struggle to find tools to eliminate the accompanying violence.

Last week we estimated the borrowed police cost around $105,000 to $150,000 for the 3-day weekend. North Myrtle Beach Police Public Information Officer, Pat Dowling, confirms the labor cost at $127,000 in the following article:

North Myrtle Beach – Whether or not Gov. Haley’s comments stick about putting an end to Bikefest, leaders in North Myrtle Beach are going to get prepared for the return of bikers next year, just to be safe.

There is no word yet into the details of next year’s safety plan in response to Bikefest, but North Myrtle Beach Public Information Officer Pat Dowling said it will be conducted through the police department.

City residents have been voicing their concerns to city council through e-mail. Many people are complaining about not feeling safe and a lack of enforcement by police for the noise ordnance. (more…)

A 7-YEAR-OLD boy was dead and 7-year-old girl was critically injured after they were both stabbed in East New York Sunday, cops said.

One of the children was found inside 845 Schenck Ave. near the elevator and the other was found outside the building just before 6 p.m., cops said. (more…)

 WISCONSIN – Two 12-year-old Wisconsin girls arrested in the weekend stabbing of their friend plotted for months before the attack, the Waukesha Police Department said Monday.

The arrest of the girls, who are not identified because of their age, came just hours after they allegedly lured a young female, also 12, into a wooded area to “play a game” and attacked her, police say.

“One suspect held the victim down while the other suspect stabbed her 19 times in the arms, legs and torso,” Waukesha Police Chief Russell Jack said at a Monday press conference.

The victim, despite having sustained several serious stab wounds to major organs, survived the attack and crawled out of the woods. A passing bicyclist spotted her and called 9-1-1, police said. (more…)

MARYLAND – A 20-year-old Maryland man has been charged in Maryland and Virginia in connection with a series of incidents involving so-called “bottle bombs” at movie theaters in the Washington D.C. suburbs.

Manuel Joyner [pictured below], of Bowie, was arrested Saturday and has been charged in Maryland with manufacture, possession and detonation with a destructive device, a felony that carries a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison, fire officials said. The charges were in relation to the evacuation of a movie theater in Largo, Md. May 24. (more…)

FRANCE – A Frenchman [Mehdi Nemmouche – pictured left] with suspected ties to Islamic extremists in Syria has been arrested over last week’s shooting at the Jewish Museum in Brussels that left four people dead, according to sources linked to the investigation.

The 29-year-old suspect was arrested Friday in the southern French city of Marseille, the sources told the AFP news agency.

He was detained by customs officials at the city’s coach station on board a bus arriving from Amsterdam via Brussels and was found carrying a Kalashnikov automatic rifle and a gun with ammunition in his luggage, as well as a miniature video camera.

He has been detained on suspicion of murder and attempted murder in connection with a terrorist enterprise, a judicial source said. (more…)

OHIO – A Cincinnati man says that a group of black teenagers yelled at him and a group of white people “Why are you white people in our neighborhood?” before attacking him, in what police are investigating as a hate crime.

The attacks occurred at the three-day Taste of Cincinnati event last Sunday.

The annual event attracts over half a million visitors to the area. But it also apparently attracted violent groups of young people.

A police report obtained by The Daily Caller classifies attacks on two men, Scottie Hunter and Randy Ulses, as hate crimes. (more…)

The Habbersham County officials, in particular Sheriff Joey Terrell,  have been all over the map with their justifications that led to a 19-month-old toddler clinging to life as a result of a severely flawed 3am “No Knock” SWAT raid.

If you have followed this story from the beginning you’ll notice the familiar pattern of false stories which initially surface by police now being entirely contradicted.   Check out this ABC report with about a half dozen inconsistencies noted from initial justification.

The terrorized family now has legal counsel after the Georgia Bureau of Investigation previously denied to listen to their pleas for an investigation.  And friends have put together a donation site to support the family in their immediate needs HERE.

CLARKESVILLE – Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney Brian Rickman says his office will review the early-morning drug raid near Cornelia Wednesday that resulted in burns to a 19-month-old child.

Members of the Habersham Special Response Team, comprised of Habersham County sheriff’s deputies and Cornelia police officers, executed a “no knock” search warrant at a home located at 182 Lakeview Heights Circle outside Cornelia.

During the team’s forced entry, a flash bang grenade, also called a stun grenade, was used as a diversionary device. That device burned 19-month-old Bounkham Phonesavanh.

Given that Sheriff Terrell was insisting yesterday that his office had been entirely cleared by the DA, this is an important first step. Unfortunately it appears to be a very small step: (more…)

~ A City Under Siege ~

Imagine for a minute living in the middle of a war zone, being afraid to leave your house for fear of getting raped, robbed, or even murdered. Having police officers garbed in full riot gear or military attire stationed on every street corner, but still unable to keep the peace. Spending sleepless nights due to the echoes of what sounds like gun shots.

Right now you are probably thinking, “I am so glad I don’t live in a third world country,” however this is not happening in another country—according to residents of Myrtle Beach, SC every Memorial Day weekend this is what they endure in their hometown—a “family friendly” vacation resort town.

Every year over Memorial Day weekend, Atlantic Beach, a tiny community adjacent to Myrtle Beach, hosts an annual bike festival. Atlantic Beach unfortunately does not have the infrastructure to house the influx of participants, which in turn has left Myrtle Beach with the responsibility of housing and policing the attendees. The end result has caused Myrtle Beach to become the hub of the Atlantic Beach Bikefest.

Instead of Memorial Day weekend creating a time of remembrance for our fallen soldiers, or a time to relax with family members at a BBQ, it has become a weekend “purge” for lawless attendees to commit crimes on others.

This is clearly evident in the promoting of the event, ItsHoodTV’s opening credits on their Youtube video reads:

“In a World…Where N****s can’t do s**t without being arrested. One city…Agrees to let them do whatever the hell they want for one weekend. Memorial Weekend MYRTLE BEACH, SC”.

This year’s (2014) event transformed the streets of Myrtle Beach into a crime spree; in a 24 hour period of time, 6 different shooting incidences took place resulting in 3 people dead and 5 people recovering from gunshot wounds. (more…)
