An odd story to say the least. An unstable Canadian Rambo-like character…
CANADA – Three police officers have been shot dead and two others wounded in Moncton, New Brunswick and a manhunt is underway for the camouflaged, rifle-wielding shooter, according to police.
The suspect has been identified as Justin Bourque, 24, and Royal Canadian Mounted Police in New Brunswick are urging city residents to “stay inside, lock your doors, stay safe” after “an ongoing shooting in the area.”
Bourque is shown in a photo on Twitter dressed all in camouflage, carrying two rifles and a backpack and has retreated to the woods, the RCMP tweeted.

“I drove by and saw a car with shattered windows, bullet holes, and blood all over the ground,” Matt Arsenault told the Daily News of the scene when he drove by the corner of Mailhot Ave. and Isington St. in Moncton.
A local hospital tweeted that it is treating three people, including two officers who have been shot but have non-life threatening injuries.
Police, with guns drawn, make a perimeter at the intersection where suspect Justin Bourque, 24, allegedly was.
Several streets in the north end of the city are shut down as officers search for the armed suspect. Police say Bourque may be near the Moncton Coliseum or somewhere in the Pinehurst subdivision.
A Facebook page attributed to the alleged killer is littered with anti-cop and pro-gun messages and rantings. His last posting, written just after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, contains a lyrics of a song by metal band Megadeth called “Hook in Mouth.” (read more)
