Back in 2009/2010 Zuckerberg and Obama were discussing the use of Facebook for the Arab Spring objectives, so this latest revelation comes as no surprise.
(CNBC) German Chancellor Angela Merkel was overheard confronting Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg over incendiary posts on the social network, Bloomberg reported on Sunday, amid complaints from her government about anti-immigrant posts in the midst of Europe’s refugee crisis.

On the sidelines of a United Nations luncheon on Saturday, Merkel was caught on a hot mic pressing Zuckerberg about social media posts about the wave of Syrian refugees entering Germany, the publication reported. (more…)
It was obvious early this morning that something was up. There was a tremor amid the Dark Force as Team Clinton came out with an announcement that she would support a change to ObamaCare that would kill the Cadillac tax on union healthcare plans.

Obviously Hillary Clinton is trying to shore up support from various labor unions who are increasingly finding the Democrat positions at odds with middle America.
The decision by Hillary Clinton NOT TO support the Keystone Pipeline was a serious strike against her. The decision to support the anti-American Trans-Pacific Trade deal was obviously additional blow. In an effort to recover credibility Hillary Clinton is now stating she opposes the Cadillac Tax on union healthcare benefits. However, it might be too little, too late. (more…)
Porter was the only one not to attend the hearing. It appears Marilyn Mosby is leveraging Porter against the other five defendants; perhaps that explains Porter’s absence in court.

(Via Baltimore Sun) The six Baltimore police officers charged in Freddie Gray’s arrest and death will be tried separately over the course of the next several months, with proceedings against Officer William G. Porter starting Nov. 30.
The new timeline, which pushes the trials back from a previously scheduled date of Oct. 13, was established during a hearing in Circuit Court on Tuesday afternoon, where five of the six officers appeared before Judge Barry Williams for the first time. Porter waived his right to attend the hearing.
[…] The delay in Porter’s trial came at the request of the defense which said it needed time for further investigation. The delays in the five other officers’ trials came at the request of the state and was granted by Williams over the objections of the officers’ attorneys. (more…)

- TEAM Freedom (Trump, Carson, Cruz) Total – 40%

PPP’s newest North Carolina poll finds that Donald Trump is holding his ground- at least compared to where he was in the state six weeks ago. […] Trump’s 26% is almost identical to his 24% standing from mid-August. His 53/36 favorability rating with GOP voters is actually a little bit better than its 47/40 standing from a month ago.

The only candidates really showing any momentum in North Carolina compared to our last poll are Carson whose support has increased 7 points from 14% to its current 21% standing and Fiorina who’s gone up 6 points from 6% to her current 12% standing. With a 70/17 favorability rating Carson is easily the most popular of the GOP hopefuls in the state, and he’s also the most frequent second choice with 16% saying he’d be their back up option. There is a particular depth of disingenuous detachment when listening to “Establishment Republicans” discuss the Donald Trump tax proposal today.
Especially when we see a pundit like George Will espousing “a profound moral hazard” within a tax proposal that removes federal tax liability from those earning less than $25,000/year.
Before giving an accurate history of the issue, please watch the 30 seconds of this video. Here is George Will on Monday. The video is prompted to 36:15 where he opines:

Ah, what a short memory, and insufferable disconnect, these “establishment” types carry.
However, the narrow-minded, and profoundly convenient history-rewriting is not limited to the professionally disingenuous. (more…)
Morning Consult has updated their latest national polling results utilizing 1,543 registered voters Sept 24th – Sept 27th. Consult has, over time, shown to be one of the few consistently accurate polling organizations when compared to regional and state level polls of similar scope. MC also, over time, has reflected the overall social media sentiment with accuracy.
The latest poll shows Donald Trump maintaining 30% electorate support with Ben Carson coming in second at 15%. If this were Jeb Bush maintaining 30% (over two months) the GOPe would be demanding that all other candidates coalesce and give Jeb their immediate loyal support. Alas, because this is not “their guy” the establishment continue to fight to tear Trump down:

The overall plan to elevate GOPe Carly Fiorina and GOPe Marco Rubio continues via extraordinary efforts in the media to push the establishment players to the top of the field. However, while some of the electorate have been swayed by the propaganda, there’s good news – The polled support showing visible traction is not enough to accomplish the task. (more…)
WASHINGTON DC – Vice President Biden has already qualified for next month’s CNN debate, the network confirmed Monday. Now all he has to do is jump in the race.

CNN confirmed that any candidate who has averaged 1 percent in at least three credible polls would be able to participate in the debate. Since most recent polls have tested Biden and found he would have double-digit support, he meets the threshold easily.
With that main hurdle past, Biden wouldn’t even have to file official paperwork by the debate — the criteria says that a simple public declaration will suffice. (more…)
It looks like Trump is winning against Fox News. In an article written by Politico today the infamous Trump-hater Megyn Kelly is quoted as saying she no longer wants to talk about Donald Trump.
[…] “He’s a passionate man, and I think that passion has appealed to a lot of voters, and has surprised a lot of people,” she said. “I think that’s all I’m going to say.”
(Via Politico) Fox News anchor and show host Megyn Kelly, who has been lambasted by presidential frontrunner Donald Trump since the first Republican national debate, said she was done talking about her feud with the candidate during a one-on-one discussion with Cosmopolitan editor Joanna Coles Monday morning during an Advertising Week panel.
“I don’t want to talk about Donald Trump any more, truly,” she said after several questions from Coles about Trump’s continued criticism. “He has captured the attention of the electorate, and huge sections of the Republican base. I think he’s a fighter, and that appeals to a lot of people. That appeals to a lot of people, and when he is upset at someone, he fights even harder.” (more…)
