Last month Hollywood actor Robert De Niro recorded a video calling the Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump: “a dog,” “a pig,” “a con,” “a bullshit artist who doesn’t know what he’s talking about” and “an idiot.”  De Niro also recorded himself saying: “Well, I’d like to punch him in the face.”

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Ellen DeGeneres, Tom Hanks, Michael Jordan, Lorne Michaels, Robert Redford, Diana Ross, Bruce Springsteen and Cicely Tyson.
 

Tonight Vice-President-Elect Governor Mike Pence took his wife to a performance of Hamilton on Broadway.  The cast took the opportunity to call out and target Governor Pence and his wife Karen.  They later bragged about it on twitter.

The real irony/absurdity is thick: Historically Hamilton believed the individual was not subservient to the state, a position exactly the opposite of the protestation decried by the social justice cast using Hamilton’s legacy as the basis for their performance.
That point will be lost amid the chattering class. Then again, liberals have a history of attacks against Republican Presidents’ in theaters.

During a school assignment, with the leadership of the school teacher and administration, a group of young children were asked to vote for  their presidential candidate.
One mother finds out her child voted for candidate Donald Trump.  She films her response to her child and posts to Facebook the punishment she feels is appropriate for his decision.
What she does is disturbing on many levels, yet profoundly representative of a very specific form of abusive psychosis:

The psychological abuse evident in this video is almost incomprehensible. Yet somehow there are large numbers of people who will see no issue with this behavior.  That reality is why she felt comfortable posting her action to her social media. (more…)

An unknown homeless woman appeared to protect the Donald Trump star on the famous Hollywood walk of fame against various people and groups who were intent on defacing the symbol.

Well, it appears the reports from the Facebook PR control meeting with “conservative” punditry delivered the predictable outcomes.  The essential issue with the nonsensical meeting was abundantly evident before the thing even began.
Facebook called the meeting because they viewed the insider releases as a PR crisis, not as an opportunity to admit their deception and provide an explanation as to how they were going to improve.

As a consequence the entire meeting premise was targeted to give the appearance of concern, while their internal goals were PR optics only.  Obviously, almost all the attendees did not, or could not, see their roles as useful tools. (more…)

Why, it’s the visible personification of the war-on-women.  It’s shameful.  The wealth is not spread.  This is a terrible lack of Hollywood’s self-awareness and commitment to progressive values… or, well, something.
