This does not surprise me at all based on the location, Charlottesville Virginia.   It was Virginia where the police refused to release the 911 call tapes from the Virginia-Pilot Reporters being beaten by dozens of thugs while they shouted “Justice for Trayvon”.   
Virginia law enforcement are simply PC paralyzed and unable to discuss the race of criminals in their jurisdiction..

CHARLOTTESVILLE – A couple’s late night stroll on the Christmas-lit Downtown Mall turned to terror in the early morning hours of Friday, December 20, when they were brutally assaulted by three men in what appears to have been a random act of violence.

Even though one of the victims, Jeanne Doucette, managed to take photos that appear to show the assailants as they kicked and pummeled her boyfriend Marc Adams to unconsciousness, Charlottesville Police still do not have any suspects. (more…)

PENNSYLVANIA – Dreonna Breton was very concerned about her fourth pregnancy.
Now she and  her husband, Jeremy, are worried about paying their bills after she was fired  from her job as a registered nurse on Dec. 17.
“It’s a scary place to  be,” she said. “We depend on my income heavily.”
Breton, 29, lost her job  for refusing to be immunized against the flu.
And the Bretons, who live  in West Donegal Township with their 19-month-old son, Westen, do not regret her  decision.

20-year-old Christian Haley broke into home of former boss, Todd Erb.   He then took Erb’s wife and 23-year-old daughter to basement and crushed their skulls with a concrete block.   Haley then stole white pearl earrings, an iPhone 5, a gold-colored chain and two Chase bank cards. 
INDIANA – […] Christian Rene Haley [PICTURED LEFT] was identified on Thursday as the suspect in the gruesome murder of Marylyn Erb, 52, and Kelley Erb, 23, on Friday December 20 at their house in Westfield.
The two women were found dead in the basement near a pool of blood, according to a probable cause affidavit, with the time of death said to be between noon and 1pm, reported MyDesert.com.
Haley had worked for Todd Erb at the family business Sundown Gardens, a nursery and gardening facility, for about three months.

Chattanooga Police arrest 32 violent criminals, drug dealers, and illegal gun sellers in a comprehensive multi-year sweep of criminals. The 32 people arrested in the crack down are all black. Immediately the regional discussion focuses on why all the arrests were black. Instead of addressing why the black community is killing itself, and others, with the drug dealing, drug culture use, violence etc. the community becomes more concerned with the race of the criminals against the backdrop of the arrests.

The Black Grievance Industry focuses on the perception of it being unfair to arrest unlawful members of society – because most, in this case all, of the unlawful members participating in the activity are black.

What is it about iPhones and Sneakers that brings people to violence?

Minnesota – A 63-year-old runner-up for mayor of Minneapolis was allegedly beaten up by two teenage girls at a Mall of America Starbucks this week, CBS Minnesota reports. The teen girls allegedly attacked Mark Andrew and said “we’re going to kill you” after he tried to chase down a guy who snatched his phone. It’s possible the girls were working with the thief.
The girls, age 18 and 17, were arrested and are in police custody. The 18-year-old was identified as Letajia Shapree Cutler-Cain, according to CBS Minnesota.
The TV station published a graphic photo of Andrew, who said he chased down the thief because it’s not his nature to be passive. (more…)

 BROCKTON —  A Brockton man was arrested Wednesday after police say he pulled a knife on  his father because he didn’t get a Christmas present he wanted.

The progressive mantra of modern liberalism is flailing miserably everywhere you look and the media protestations of a “Do Nothing Congress” are flares shooting up from their encampments identifying exactly where they reside.

All around us are signs the various liberalist causes are visibly in the minority.   The odd thing is how willing the progressives are to out their failing positions.    Against the liberal yard-stick of emotional legislative advancement, which is diametrically antithetical to freedom, the media are proclaiming congress as failed.
However, when you consider that stopping intrusion by government into your life is a central tenant of freedom this congress is the most successful in a decade.
Coast to coast people are showing their pushback against the nanny state.    People are rising up, or using their TV remotes, or tuning their car radios, or expressing their voice, to reflect an ideology of freedom in opposition to the current federal administration and the beliefs they visibly represent. HatTip GWP – A gay business owner told police in November he was attacked and beaten because he was gay. His claim included marking his own head with a gay slur to give validity to his accusations. However, now police have determined the victim actually falsified the entire incident.  Here’s the initial report:

Venezuela, in a squeeze for hard currency, devalued its currency for foreigners another 44%, following an initial devaluation of 32% by Chavez in February.  The move is seen as a necessity to keep Venezuela from defaulting on sovereign debt when reliance on excessively high levels of public spending has been the tool of Chavez and his successor, Maduro, to maintain their grip on power.  It is the 6th such major devaluation in a decade.
The move is essentially a bookkeeping sleight-of-hand – it allows the Venezuelan central bank to balance its books by “earning” more Bolivars for its oil export sales, at a time when overall sales volume has decreased dramatically.
