CALIFORNIA USSA – The parents of a 5-month-old were shocked when police showed up to take away their infant boy after they told a doctor they wanted a second opinion.

Caught on camera, the footage shows police entering the California home of Anna and Alex Nikolayev and asking Anna to hand over the baby.

‘I’m going to grab your baby,’ one of the several officers at the scene told Nikolayev, ‘And don’t resist and don’t fight me.’

‘He grabbed my arm,’ the new mother told KXTV, ‘so I couldn’t take Sammy. And they took Sammy, and they just walked away.” (more…)

By Oleg Atbashian [Peoples Cube]  – It wasn’t just Margaret Thatcher’s steadfast economic and foreign policies that helped to defeat the Evil Empire and to bring down the Iron Curtain. She also changed hearts and minds — and this author, who grew up on the other side of the Iron Curtain, has a personal story to tell.

As many Soviet kids did in the 1970s and 1980s, I occasionally tuned my shortwave radio to Voice of America or the BBC Russian Service, hoping to hear their alternative take on world events and, if I was lucky, get the latest rock-music updates. One of the functions of the Iron Curtain was to keep us, the “builders of communism,” blissfully unaware of the outside world. All our news had to be processed by the state-run media filter and approved by the formidable censorship apparatus.

In contrast, foreign Russian-language radio broadcasts, courtesy of Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher, gave us unfiltered news and commentary. These programs were to the Soviets then what Rush Limbaugh and Fox News are for many Americans today — a gasp of fresh air for some, enemy propaganda for others, and an object of demonization for the official state-run media. Parents of a fourth grade student at Cedar Hills Elementary school found a disturbing note in their child’s backpack:  A crayon crafted pledge that stated:

“I am willing to give up some of my constitution rights in order to be safer or more secure.”

The note was part of a “civics lesson” based on materials provided in part, by an outside group of local attorneys known as “Justice Teaching”.  https://www.justiceteaching.org/

The lesson plan, in part, directs the teacher to compel the children to:

“ask all students to place their sticky post it notes on the appropriate chart papers labelled for that right.  Then ask all students to be seated. This provides a visual of which rights in the First Amendment are most valued and least valued by the group. Reference how many of the votes each right received.”:

While the Justice Teaching exercise is designed to open up a dialog about the sanctity and interconnectedness of “all” Rights, it has the potential to be – and apparently is – exploited to promote the agenda that “some” Rights are expendable in the pursuit of collective safety and security. Cultural Marxism / Political Correctness – is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

The Conservative Tree House (aka. The Last Refuge)  is the diametric opposite to this definition.   The absence of agenda is, in essence, the similarity behind our association.

Any form of “Cultural Marxism” is antithetical to freedom, because it belies the entire concept of openness, truthfulness and honesty – especially brutal honesty.

Progs, and liberals, democrats, fabian-socialists, and to a lesser extent other political interests, but for the sake of exhaustive definition “progs”, are hell-bent on controlling the optical narrative of all things according to an agenda they define.

Fabian Socialists = Modern Day Progressives. Modern Day Progressives are the Democrat Party. The Saul Alinsky approach is their preferred method of ideological advancement, and MSNBC is the primary professional media outlet for their messaging and optic systems.

Last week MSNBC ran a commercial for their network featuring Melissa Harris Perry.  The commercial was discussed in multiple forums because the message being delivered was “All your children are belong to us”.    Perry is a Tulane University professor and MSNBC host.

What is more interesting is the follow up commercial, the latest version.   This too outlines the Fabian Doctrine;  Only this one is about socialist economic models, the ideology of the economy the modern progressive movement are pushing right now:

MELISSA HARRIS-PERRY: Americans will always want some level of inequality because it’s a representation of a meritocracy.  People who work hard and sacrifice and save their money and make major contributions: we think that they should earn a little more. And they should have more resources. And that’s fine.

But we also however have to have a floor under which nobody falls. And if you’re below that, especially if you’re a child and you’re below that, we are not going to accept that. You do have the right to health care, and to education, and to decent housing and to quality food at all times.

This is EXACTLY the descriptive of Socialism.   AND it’s also the reason why this approach has been tried, and tried again, and always fails. (more…)

We call it “his money” because in the world of all things progressive they view wealth, or income, as belonging to the State.   Progressives in a larger sense view wealth as a static amount of available resource, a single pie to be divided – the Scarcity mentality.

Therefore all production value, the income earnings of your labor, actually belongs to the State, and they alone will determine how much of their money you are allowed to receive.  It is, in its most direct sense, the essential tenet of fabial-socialism;  Which is, as you know, the essential ideology of modern progressives (Democrats or Liberals defined).

WASHINGTON – President Obama’s 2014 budget calls for a trillion dollars in new taxes, almost twice as much as previously thought, The Washington Examiner has learned.

“Of the more than $1 trillion in new taxes, about $800 billion is raised through the individual income tax system, about $125 billion comes from new excise taxes — including new taxes on tobacco and financial companies,” a source familiar with the president’s budget explained. “The remainder comes from reverting back to the 2009 estate tax parameters and other miscellaneous tax increases.” […]   (link)

This is a slippery slope folks, and if you can’t see how steep it is you might just be progressive yourself and don’t know it.   At the end of this path lay the cattle cars.

SEATTLE — State Attorney General Bob Ferguson on Tuesday filed a consumer protection lawsuit against Arlene’s Flowers & Gifts, a Richland florist that refused to supply flowers to the same-sex marriage of a longtime customer.

Ferguson said he sent a March 28 letter to owner Barronelle Stutzman asking her to reconsider and supply flowers to customer Robert Ingersoll. Through an attorney, Stutzman declined to change her position.

“As Attorney General, it is my job to enforce the laws of the state of Washington,” said Ferguson. “Under the Consumer Protection Act, it is unlawful to discriminate against customers based on sexual orientation. If a business provides a product or service to opposite-sex couples for their weddings, then it must provide same sex couples the same product or service.” (more…)

WASHINGTON DC – The budget President Barack Obama will submit on April 10 will contain a proposal that would prohibit individuals from accumulating more than $3 million in Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and tax-preferred retirement accounts.

According to a White House statement, the Obama administration believes the current rules allow some wealthy individuals “to accumulate many millions of dollars in these accounts, substantially more than is needed to fund reasonable levels of retirement saving.”

“The budget would limit an individual’s total balance across tax-preferred accounts to an amount sufficient to finance an annuity of not more than $205,000 per year in retirement, or about $3 million in 2013,” the statement said. “This proposal would raise $9 billion over 10 years.”  (read more)
