Part of it is union employees that never worked in a private corporation. I saw this at the county level where anyone with a business or corporate background was just dismissed when they sought to save money, do things better, and take responsibility. If someone found a way to save 10k or whatever, they were laughed at. If something didn’t work well they just said “that’s our process, just do what you’re told”.
Most all the managers were, long time union move up the ladder regardless of whether you had the skills don’t work too hard you’ll make others look bad, lumps of inefficiency.
The union employees were not allowed to do any work that was out of their grade. Some wanted to learn and move up based on skills but that is not the criteria. It’s time on the job, then they put you in a higher level where you don’t have a clue how to do it because they wouldn’t let you get experience without having the position first.

Public employees NEVER want to find ways to save money or do more with less headcount. Because if they ever demonstrate they can do the job with less (more efficiently) their budget and headcount might get cut or it might get reallocated over to some other department. A Vietnam veteran I know is suffering with cancer from Agent Orange and has to go through hoops to verify stuff. Meanwhile another veteran collecting disability is working two jobs including a military contractor job and life is good.
Years ago I was approached by other veterans regarding myself applying for disability. I didn’t have any issues but I was told that they could find something for me. The whole thing stunk and I walked away.
This fraud will take a generation to clear out.
We need to change the definition of “disabled” back to what it was 40 years ago. It now includes so many BS “diagnosis” as to include everyone.

But the program is more corrupt than just that. The woman obviously knows her aide wasn’t showing up, but she never told anyone. She convinced the government that she was so sick that she couldn’t survive without a taxpayer-funded aide–but that can’t be true, because she was doing exactly that.
The record has a phone number the government can use to contact the patient to make sure everything is as expected. But the second patient’s phone number isn’t really hers. It belongs to this man with a felony conviction for welfare fraud, who nonetheless works in “refugee resettlement” and home care, and is tied to a top Gaunley official.
The owner of Gaunley told me he’d have his staff investigate what was going on at this second house where Chhetri appeared to have a no-show home care job. Don’t hold your breath: Guess who’s the Gaunley employee in charge of verifying that home aides are where they’re supposed to be: Dilu Monger, the very woman whose aunt was also apparently receiving no-show home care.

All such efforts have to be seen as baby steps, given the enormity of the systematic corruption we’re facing, but necessary all the same. With the anarcho-Democrats in charge, you rarely see this emphasis on law enforcement. With the right Republicans in charge, justice has a little breathing room.
We have a few more days to see which way the scales will tip. At this point in 2024, most of the national polls had Harris leading, and yet Trump not only won decisively, but took the popular vote. The president is not on the ballot in name, but his policies surely are as “I’m against Trump” seems to be the Dems’ main message, repeated ad nauseum. Other than that, they have nothing but the promise of retaliations, investigations and rolling back the window of freedom we’ve been given. We don’t have to let them win now any more than we did in 2024. With God’s help, it really is in our hands.

“Home care” is now the most common job in America. Many bill the government for no-show work.
HARRISBURG, Pa. — Ram Kuma Chhetri has a routine.
Every morning at 6 a.m., he pulls into the driveway of a nearby home, sits in the car for two or three minutes, then leaves. At 5 p.m., he does the same: drives up, fiddles with his phone in the driver’s seat, then returns home.
Why does he do this every day?
Pennsylvania allows poor elderly people to steer government Medicaid payments to their relatives or friends for helping them cook, clean and perform other everyday in-home tasks. Its version of the program is so generous that home care is now the most common profession in the state. A “home care” aide only has to do one thing to get the state to pay out: use a GPS-enabled phone app that confirms that the worker is at his client’s house when he clocks in and clocks out.
To anyone checking the system, Chhetri, a Bhutanese refugee, appears to be working 11 hours a day, seven days a week caring for an elderly person, work that unleashes $82,000 in government payments. In reality, he seems to spend five minutes a day in her driveway.

No-show “home care” work is so common in Pennsylvania that it’s no longer viewed as something to hide. In August, the federal Drug Enforcement Administration arrested a drug trafficker in the state who asked the agents to let him out of handcuffs so he could clock out of the home health shift he was supposedly working. When they pointed out that that was illegal, he seemed confused, saying, “Everyone is doing this. If this is a problem, you’ll have to arrest the whole city.”
But even arresting the whole city may not stop the fraud:
One home health care scam was being operated from a prison.
The home Chhetri visits hardly seems to need taxpayer-funded help. It was one of the most expensive real estate transactions in the area in the month it was sold. The residents appear to drive a Range Rover and a custom-painted Tesla Cybertruck.
25 years ago Dekalb County GA actually put a moratorium on business permits for
non-emergency medical transport companies. If you looked into the “business permits”
section of the county legal organ, there were 20-30 filings PER WEEK for those particular
businesses. So…. this has been going on a long, long time.
Put all the little fraudsters in jail, it won’t mean a thing u til you start putting the big fraudsters in jail. I’ll give you a hint where to look: inside the agencies and the Statehouses.
I have a severely disabled six year old granddaughter who needed Medicaid in order to get in to the two top facilities in our area who ONLY took Medicaid.
We jumped through so many hoops. Every clerk, manager, and administrator verified and re-verified medical documentation and financial documentation relentlessly before she was finally approved.
There absolutely has to be accomplices inside these programs looking the other way and rubber stamping these applications and check approvals and everything in between.
These accomplices also need to be imprisoned. DEI allowed this infiltration and it needs to be cleaned up from the inside out.
