There are major events missing here, that this video IGNORES Totally … World War II had just been wrapped up in 1947 … followed by the Cold war vs the USSR.

After the war the USSR became very active in cultivating and reviving the Arab Nationalist Movements, who’s goal was to drive the British Colonizers. The USSR was the major source of the Communist-Socialist Elements in Egypt, Syria and Iraq. They helped inspire the Formation of the UAR (United Arab Republic) and sent economic and military aid to the UAR nations.
As for the 1956 Operation by the French and UK to reclaim the canal … there was a very real threat that the USSR would dominate operations of the canal as they were sending economic and military aid to Egypt.
So before allowing yourself to be suckered in by the story consisting of only those rotten UK Colonialists, be advised the situation has far more context and complexity than the story in the Video.
Further … The biggest failure of the UK – French operation to occupy the Suez canal region was NOT in the document from US INTEL archives shown in the video.
