Once again, you may have seen a lot of banter, interpretation and discussion in western media about Russia speaking of defending Kaliningrad with nuclear weapons if needed. To gain a full understanding of the context, I strongly suggest reading the transcript below.
Vladimir Putin addressed the plenary session of the 23rd annual meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club. It is a very lengthy discussion. I am pulling out the key segment and suggest everyone take some quiet time to read.
President Vladimir Putin – […] Let me digress from the main topic for a while. There are people here in this room who hold a very diverse mix of opinions regarding an extremely acute present-day conflict – the Ukraine conflict, and what caused it. I would like to say a few words on this matter. It is a fact that many hundreds or even thousands of experts, your colleagues who will study the materials from this Valdai Club meeting, they have their own opinions on this matter. I am, of course aware that some within the expert community might ask why Russia started the war while talking about peace. I have commented this many times already, but let me say this once again in front of this audience.
Where is the truth? The truth is that we did not want and were not the ones who started to fight. In fact, they started to fight against us. They should have refrained from encouraging aggressive nationalism and Russophobia in Ukraine so as to turn it into a tool for fighting Russia. NATO should not have embarked on an effort to make our historical territories part of its military space in its own interests and should not have planned setting up its bases there. Radicals in Kiev should not have been pushed to a government coup while the de facto illegal regime should not have been pumped full of all kinds of offensive weapons after that. Plans for setting up concentration camps for the people from Donbass and Crimea should not have been drafted. Unarmed people should not have been rolled over by tanks, shelled with missiles and bombed from the air and burnt alive just for being Russian, in terms of both their ethnic background and their spirit.
The list of these do-nots goes on, but let me stop at that. I am convinced that this was an intentional effort to place Russia in a situation when it was simply forced to defend itself with arms in hand to respond to this obvious act of aggression. They pushed us to this brink knowingly and intentionally. Overall, Russophobia, oppressing and killing Russian people and destroying Russia should not be turned into state ideology while striving to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia. This was the way it was all articulated, right? No one forgot this. At least, we did not forget this.
If we want to live – and who does not? – as I have already said during one of my public appearances, let us live in friendship and work together for finding ways to accomplish this aim. Of course, confidence building is a painstaking and fragile process. Placing it on the right track is very hard, while it can be derailed very easily.
The interests never fully coincide even when it comes to the closest partners, let alone countries which are rivals and are locked in an all-out competition or even confrontation against one another.
Sooner or later, the international situation and the international system will settle into some form of stable equilibrium. This is undoubtedly a complex, multifaceted and multilayered process built on mutual compromises, willingness to meet each other halfway, and a level-headed assessment of the situation, including by the West. The former hegemon will unavoidably have to acknowledge the realities of a multipolar world – just look at the trends shaping the global economy – and learn to cooperate with the countries of the Global Majority on the basis of respect for their fundamental interests. Of course, this will take time. We are going to have to live in an extremely unstable and ever changing world. The path to a new system will be full of unexpected twists and turns; unfortunately, often unpleasant and even dangerous ones.
I would like to turn to the history of our country. Russia has travelled a thorny path of profound transformation, and this process is still underway. Thirty-five years ago, we experienced the collapse of the state system, which was a genuine tragedy for tens of millions of people who woke up one morning to find themselves beyond the borders of their own country and whose lives – and the lives of their children – were changed overnight. Both in Russia and in neighbouring countries this led to a fundamental transformation and international affairs get transformed as well.
I would also like to highlight a certain naivety, idealism, or perhaps even complacency on the part of those who stood at the helm of the state during the final years of the Soviet era. Blind trust in Western partners and confidence in “gentlemen’s agreements,” when they thought they could simply take someone at their word and come to terms also played a cruel joke on the Soviet Union.
In retrospect, it becomes clear just how destructive a role this played not only in the fate of the Soviet Union, but also in ensuring long-term global stability. The Soviet leaders wanted the West to like them, while Western leaders sought to reshape the world to suit their needs and to grab their share – preferably a large one – of the Soviet legacy. We can see the result now.
The Soviet Union collapsed due to a mix of internal imbalances. This is the most important dimension to it. This is the truth, and this is what happened. Specifically, internal imbalances, as well as mistakes made by successive generations of the country’s leadership. Short-sightedness, narrow and unrealistic ideological dogmas instead of pragmatism, incompetence, and the practice of sweeping obvious problems under the carpet gradually exacerbated and undermined the Soviet Union’s domestic and international standing. Ultimately, these factors led to its collapse.
What is happening in the world today, the present-day conflicts and upheavals – all this largely stems from the fact that late 20th-century politicians, both in the East and the West, were unwilling, unprepared or unable to treat the era of major shifts with the required seriousness and depth. This is not a question of shifting responsibility onto the leaders of the past; this is simply how it all happened in reality.
However, even during that period, there were people, both in the East and West, there were other kinds of politicians who developed a keen understanding of these challenges and offered what I believe to be the right ways of resolving them. Today, their assessments can be viewed as visionary.
You know that I have mentioned Egon Bahr in the past, a politician from the Federal Republic of Germany. He was a member of the Social Democratic Party’s Executive Committee.
I will share just a few thoughts with you. I was very surprised to learn about his contacts with the Soviet leadership in both Bonn and Moscow. What surprised me was the extent to which this person had mastered the subject, his intelligence and competence.
Let me share some of the things he said in June and February 1990. As we all understand, this was a time of radical shifts for Europe and the entire world.
Bahr’s main concern was the threat of a lingering confrontation in Europe after Germany’s reunification, and once, and I quote, “those circles within NATO which are not at all eager to pursue the path of pan-European cooperation and ending the confrontation” reinforced their positions and influence. This is what he said. He could already see at that time that forces of this kind existed. He was well-placed to know this, wasn’t he? During the 1990 talks, Egon Bahr said, and here is another quote: “Without a decisive step towards overcoming Europe’s disintegration into hostile blocs, events can take quite a negative turn that would doom the USSR to international isolation.” This is what he said. What did that mean? By the way, we can see that it all happened just as he had predicted and warned.
What was the offer for Eastern and Central Europe? The proposal consisted of setting up a security council that would include both the United States and the USSR and giving this structure a broad mandate. This council was designed to include almost all Eastern and Central European countries.
However, after the USSR’s dissolution, the forces which came to dominate the West, just as Egon Bahr said, had little, if any, interest in pursuing the path of pan-European cooperation. Despite the fact that new Russia spent many years – and I would like to emphasise that this was a process that lasted for many years – trying to integrate into the so-called Western civilisation, they did everything to effectively isolate the Russian Federation and break it down even further. All the shifts in Russia’s domestic politics notwithstanding, and despite all these changes, they still viewed Russia as the core element of the historical Russian Empire. To this day, they keep talking at all kinds of events and gatherings about the need to complete the effort to break up the Empire.
Taken together, all this produced a rather dangerous, to put it bluntly, situation in Europe and around the world.
I would stress, ladies and gentlemen, that it is my deep belief that Mr Bahr did not have anything other than Europe’s future on his mind at that time. He was thinking about this pan-European home. The USSR leadership also talked about it a lot at that time but, unfortunately, they failed to put words into action.
Russia probably understands better than many the difficulties of overcoming the consequences of historical collapses and cataclysms, and of finding its way forward in new and often unfavourable conditions. We often had to learn by trial and error, making quick decisions in response to emerging situations.
But we never forget that the nation needs a perspective and a clear view of the road ahead. Of course, there is no future without a past. The legacy of our forefathers, who built a great and unique country, must be preserved and strengthened. No society can exist without a historical foundation and respect for traditions. But the opposite is also true: the past becomes meaningless without a future. No matter how great the achievements of our forefathers, the nation must not become a museum of its past greatness.
The true greatness of a state is impossible without the ability to keep pace with the times and, ideally, to move ahead of them. Multiplying one’s heritage and creatively developing it amid modern conditions are the best guarantees of preventing our national tradition from becoming a vintage collectible, a trendy historical accessory, or the sole subject of our undivided attention. We must take into account the vibrant and productive environment for our future accomplishments.
As for the future, much is really shrouded in uncertainty, and there are too many incoming and rapidly changing factors. But we certainly need a roadmap for our movement into the future. What we need is not wishful thinking, an abstract and speculative construct or an unrealistic visualisation of our wishes, but a realistic assessment of risks, capabilities and essential objectives. Russia is building this path to the future for itself, and is certainly ready to do this jointly with other nations around the world.
As I said, the scale and, more importantly, the speed of changes underway in the world are unprecedented. We must realise that the point of no return can come very quickly and unexpectedly for all. It may turn out one day that the logic of escalating mutual retaliation leads to a point of fatal irreversibility.
The word “escalation” is often used now to describe and forecast various global conflicts, meaning unwillingness to use real diplomacy based on reality and respect for the interests of all sides, a desire to aggravate the situation, raise the stakes and even bluff, crossing red lines in the hope of suppressing and intimidating the opponent, and breaking their will. There is nothing new in the escalation of hostilities and sanctions; this practice has been used in many conflicts, and it is never unilateral, because one side’s provocations inevitably trigger a response from the other side. Therefore, the spiral is tightening, and the devastating consequences are growing.
Escalation is based – I am not telling you anything new – on arrogance and overconfidence. It is a path towards a precipice, especially today when the world’s leading powers have weapons in their arsenals that are capable of destroying all life or at least reducing the Earth to a catastrophic state. Can we guarantee that these weapons will never be used? We cannot, of course. We all remember the saying that if you have a rifle hanging on the wall in the first act, it will eventually be fired. We must remember this and try to prevent it.
The more uncompromising a response, and the more clearly the goal of the opponent’s “strategic defeat” is declared, the greater the chances that the battle will escalate into the most violent phase. The survival of the fittest applies not only to the natural world but also to social communities, if they are faced with the possible loss of their independence, dignity and the very right to exist.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Let me reiterate: the fundamental formation of a new world order is inevitable – and one hopes it will occur within the foreseeable future. For now, however, events are unfolding in a highly turbulent and spontaneous manner. We are only beginning to outline, feeling our way towards, the contours of what is to come.
This, however, does not mean we should sit idly by and wait to see what happens next. To reach the phase of building – which, as I have said, will undoubtedly arrive sooner or later – we must first weather the current period of danger and avert the most destructive threats.
I consider it particularly important to emphasise once again two aspects that, in my view, should be the subject of serious discussion by us all – at the political, technical, expert and even philosophical levels.
First and foremost is the issue I have already touched upon: artificial intelligence. A global debate is currently underway as to whether measures should be taken to deliberately slow research and development in this field, to prevent these technologies from spiralling out of human control. This is a multifaceted issue requiring thorough examination. Human history demonstrates that technological progress cannot be halted; however, we must understand the consequences of that progress – above all when it comes to the use of its achievements, particularly in the military domain.
There are already documented cases of artificial intelligence making decisions based on its own assessment of what is expedient. This applies to both civilian and military contexts. As artificial intelligence technologies become more widely adopted, their role will grow, and algorithms will assume greater responsibility. After all, humans simply cannot compete with a machine’s ability to analyse a situation almost instantaneously. Yet humans possess other qualities: instinct, intuition and the ability to make decisions that may not be immediately obvious but ultimately prove to be the only correct ones, and even life-saving.
I would like to recount a story from the Soviet era – from the everyday reality of those years. It was September 1983. Lieutenant Colonel Stanislav Petrov, an officer at a missile early-warning centre, was on duty when the system picked up a signal. Both we and the United States had long since had such systems in place and operational. The system detected the launch of five American intercontinental ballistic missiles. Any algorithm would have classified this as an unambiguous trigger for a retaliatory strike. Yet the experienced officer questioned the accuracy of the signal, suspecting a system malfunction. And he turned out to be right. Had artificial intelligence been in his place, things might have turned out very differently. To my mind, this is a very compelling example.
The limits on the use of AI technologies in the security sphere are a matter of humanity’s survival. AI can increase the effectiveness of means of warfare, which also makes conflicts more destructive.
We need an unbiased and professional international discussion on modern methods of warfare to preserve humanitarian limits and mitigate the most brutal effects of armed conflicts related to the growth of destructive capabilities. I know that your forum held a session that was very accurately titled The Ethics of the New War: Humans and Inhumanity.
It is true that the inhumanity of modern conflicts can be interpreted in two ways. It is increasing brutality and disregard for humanitarian norms. It is also the new forms of confrontation, where AI and autonomous systems play a growing role in hostilities, gradually replacing humans, including in decision-making, which is especially significant. This is a huge and complex topic, which requires the utmost attention. The automation and digitalisation of war lead to the dehumanisation of perception, turning bloodshed and the loss of human lives into a kind of computer game, into a mechanistic routine. To call a spade a spade, this is a path towards the regression of humanity into savagery amid endless talk about grandiose technological progress.
At the end of the 19th century, more precisely in 1899, Russia proposed holding the Hague Conference, which for the first time formalised the rules of war, peaceful settlement of conflicts, and the humanisation of hostilities. Of course, the true and noble ideas laid down back then did not save humanity from the tragedies of the 20th century. The world wars seemingly wiped out the achievements of humanitarian law. But now the time has come when we must again raise the issue of the rules of armed confrontation.
We have no illusions: wars have been a constant feature throughout human history, they are still waged today, and armed conflicts will most likely continue in the future. Regrettably, this is an integral part of human existence. Military service is the profession of those who defend the interests of their countries, but professionalism in the military sphere includes respect for humanitarian norms. In particular, the Russian military have always been guided by the inviolability of these norms, and I would like to emphasise that they were never the first to attack facilities that are not related to the adversary’s military infrastructure.
The rise in international tensions and overall confrontation has one more extremely negative and long-term consequence – this is the second fact I would like to draw your attention to today. In this conflict situation, we are sacrificing the solution of global problems of concern to the whole of humanity. We addressed these problems – climate, the environment, poverty and inequality – only recently, but today we have forgotten all about them. They have been pushed aside, but they are growing more acute. This has not changed. Regrettably, there are no grounds to hope that the international community as a single body will be able to deal with this agenda in the near term. But if acute and pressing issues are not settled on a global scale, we must address them at the regional level, especially since it is closer to home and easier for people to understand.
We are all responsible for our planet as a whole, but we are first and foremost responsible for our own home and its immediate surroundings. Our home in the broader sense is Eurasia, a vast territory that is the centre and the setting for the most important processes unfolding in the world. A great deal on the international stage as a whole depends on how we develop Eurasia.
The idea of a Greater Eurasian Partnership advanced by Russia some time ago is acquiring special significance amid growing instability worldwide. Military-political confrontations are undermining global connectivity and endangering industrial, transport and logistics chains, as well as the established trade and communication paths. The task and responsibility of Eurasian countries is to maximally protect our space from global risks and destructive processes, using all available technological and other opportunities to improve the quality of Eurasian interaction and strengthen connectivity across this vast territory.
I would also like to note that Eurasian cultural and civilisational communities have, over many centuries, established mutual understanding even in the most complicated historical eras. Eurasia can become the prototype of international communication in conditions of diverse cultures, approaches and interests, where differences do not become an obstacle but an advantage for the development of a sustainable and balanced partnership.
In this connection, I would like to draw your attention to the initiative we have advanced jointly with our Belarusian friends, the drafting of a Eurasian Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century. Last week, the foreign ministers of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and our other partners launched practical work on this fundamental document at their meeting held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
The primary significance of Eurasia is that it is largely self-sufficient and capable of dealing with any problems. The only thing this vast community of nations needs is indivisible security, the absence of military threats, and lasting peace.
Colleagues,
All of us, the international community as a whole, bear overall responsibility for the future. This is not an exaggeration or a metaphor. As I have said, this is an absolutely practical task that requires our immediate attention.
One would like to believe that our descendants will read in their history books that the second quarter of the 21st century was the turning point when humanity, becoming aware of the scope of change and the challenges to its existence, managed to put aside petty squabbles, ambitions and selfishness and joined hands to address common problems, turned the technological revolution from a set of threats into a wide range of possibilities, addressed the problems of social inequality and environmental degradation in deed rather than in word, realised the futility of military confrontation and dictate and the need for mutually acceptable solutions to all arising questions and problems, and started, at long last, to build a new stable world order. I am confident that this is how it will be, because if this does not happen, there is a risk that there will be no one left to use these textbooks, and nobody to write these textbooks.
Let us hope for the best and, most importantly, do everything in our power to make this better future happen and be with us.
I would like to thank you for your attention and to wish you success. I really appreciate our meetings. Thank you very much.

[This sets up a conversation about the recent statements from European leadership about direct conflict with Russia. This is where people need to pay close attention. /SD]
Fyodor Lukyanov: Following this trajectory, as you said, we have now arrived at an interesting juncture: NATO exercises are taking place in the Baltic Sea, accompanied by very stern statements and threats directed at Kaliningrad. Meanwhile, the Russian side has promised that, should the need arise –specifically, in the event of an attempt to blockade Kaliningrad – it would use every means at its disposal, up to and including nuclear weapons. Is this a genuine escalation? Are we on the brink of war, or are we simply trying to scare one another?
Vladimir Putin: We are not trying to scare anyone. What you have just mentioned – the Foreign Ministry’s statement and the letters it sent to certain countries – is not intimidation; it is a response to attempts to intimidate us.
After all, it is not use who are making these statements about the need, possibility, or preparation for a war with Russia in 2029 or 2030. These statements come from Western and European politicians. We hear them constantly. Constantly. And then there are concrete actions: one exercise after another in the Baltic Sea, followed by attempts to detain our ships and vessels. All of this constitutes escalation, as I said in my remarks. All this is escalation.
Then we began hearing a statement concerning the Kaliningrad Region. The Foreign Ministry’s statement and the letters that were sent out were entirely justified. If it comes to a direct attack on the Russian Federation – in this case, Kaliningrad, although it could potentially involve other territories as well – the question of Russia using all the weapons at its disposal would inevitably and immediately arise. That is inevitable.
This has nothing to do with who holds the post of Supreme Commander-in-Chief or President of Russia. The point is this: as I understand it, the NATO Secretary General spoke about the 300 million people in Europe, and so on. Yes, that is precisely why we would inevitably have to consider employing all the forces and means at our disposal.
Why? First, we understand that we would be facing an adversary with twice our population. It has immense economic and military potential. Yes, we would not have a vast array of forces and means at our disposal to counter such a threat. We would have to rely on our competitive advantages in this struggle. And what are they? The fact is that we possess such advantages in the means we have to defend ourselves. Yes, of course, France and the UK are nuclear powers. We understand that perfectly well and are fully aware of it. But no one else possesses the kinds of strike capabilities that Russia has today. And these are our competitive advantages.
So, how can we counter an aggressor? We are not threatening anyone. We are simply stating that we do not have all that many means of defending ourselves. And, incidentally, neither that letter nor the Foreign Ministry’s statement mentions the use of nuclear weapons. They speak, as I have just put it, of employing all the forces and means available to our country. As for how that would actually happen, we will decide that ourselves.
Fyodor Lukyanov: But the NATO Secretary General you mentioned reacted to this, I would say, quite calmly. He said they did not consider it serious.
Vladimir Putin: Quite right. Unless, of course, one considers their threats against us to be serious.
Fyodor Lukyanov: One more topic, then, to round off this discussion.
A few weeks ago, the Ministry of Defence…
Vladimir Putin: By the way, Fyodor, excuse me for interrupting, but I think you understand what lies behind the constant escalation of tensions by many European countries. It is driven by the serious deterioration in their economic and domestic political situation.
Just look at what is happening to their economies, their social policy and the living standards of people in the major European countries. Under these circumstances, they desperately need to divert public attention away from domestic problems and towards external issues.
I have just had to respond to the questions you asked me. And I believe this is precisely the kind of response they expected to hear from us, because they will now seize on it and exploit this argument that Russia is threatening them with nuclear weapons. They will use it to distract their citizens from the fact that it is they who are pursuing an aggressive policy towards Russia and pushing their people towards a dangerous threshold of confrontation.
We are not threatening anyone. We have no intention of attacking anyone, whether in 2029, 2030 or 2050. But if we are subjected to aggression, we will have no choice but to respond. People in European countries need to understand this clearly and distinguish between our position and that of their current political leaders. It seems to me, however, that they do understand the difference. We can see it in the election results and in public sentiment across major European countries.
Fyodor Lukyanov: I am beginning to feel like an accomplice in the domestic political manipulations of European governments.
Vladimir Putin: I believe they are doing this deliberately. They are intelligent people who shape their messaging, including their public statements, in such a way as to produce the specific domestic political effect they want.
Fyodor Lukyanov: There is one more point concerning this rhetoric – or the absence of it. A few weeks ago, the Ministry of Defence published a list of European facilities involved in manufacturing and supplying weapons to Ukraine, explicitly identifying them as potential targets. This was subsequently confirmed on several occasions and at various levels, including by the Foreign Ministry.
Suppose that, at some point, such a warning has to be followed up with action, and a strike will be carried out against one of these major facilities. This would most likely be regarded as an attack by Russia and could lead to the invocation of NATO’s collective defence clause. Are we prepared for that?
Vladimir Putin: Countries supplying weapons to other countries is nothing new. This is a matter of military-technical cooperation and does not cause us any concern. However, other countries’ involvement in direct combat operations is certainly a cause for concern.
What do I mean? We are fully aware that strikes deep into Russian territory could not be carried out so smoothly by the Ukrainian armed forces without space-based intelligence and technical assistance from Western specialists. This poses a threat to everyone. It means that these countries are becoming involved in the war against Russia, which creates additional threats for the future.
There is nothing positive about supplying weapons to conflict zones; all countries around the world generally try to avoid doing so. Supplying arms to conflict zones is considered improper. For instance, we do not receive weapons from anyone. We rely solely on our own defence industry and our own economic capabilities.
Ukraine, as I know and as everyone knows, cannot exist on its own. It is actually losing elements of its statehood. In my view, this is obvious: it is being governed from outside. And when someone seeks to fight us through others – in this case, through the Ukrainian regime, which sends its own people (although I doubt it even considers them its own) into the line of fire, effectively to their extermination – when someone starts fighting us through others, that is, of course, a threat. I am not saying that we intend to launch strikes tomorrow against the territory or facilities of the countries supplying weapons to Ukraine. But this is a threat that we must clearly understand, assess, and keep in mind.
And, of course, the Russian Armed Forces and military intelligence must understand where these threats are coming from. We are monitoring this closely. (Continue Reading)

This does not sound like a dictator who wants to take over the world. He sounds more like President Trump. President Putin is sure right about one thing, Ukraine lack the ability to stand on its own
PP with a TRUTH MOAB!
It’s especially funny because while Putin has such control over what his country does and Trump has done nothing to address the fact that our FBI is a political machine that picks candidates and winners and dictates what the winners can do.
We can’t vote for Putin to fix our mess which is a shame because it will take actual leadership.
This is why an emergency needs to be declared… so the pukes in congress and the courts are out of the picture.
We literally just need Trump to talk about it. Time is running out- it may be too late already.
We hired him to fix this not to “bless” Israel.
…israel as well.
I can see parallels between Trump and Putin. A long read and big thank you to Sundance on this!
Putin is no Trump, he is not even a Mikhail Gorbachev. He is what he is, a Russian nationalist and a strongman who is less concerned about methods than objectives.
J
See 2014 for more details.
I don’t have time to tell you how wrong you are nor does Sundance but your assessment is way off base. you can send your thinking back to the 70s. you’re entitled to think however you want to but man, you are way off base.
Last night when I read that comment my initial reaction was to sail into him by writing a reality epistle.
However, I reminded myself that everyone is entitled to their opinion, even the ones creeping out of the Mark Warner/Lindsay Graham/Roger Wicker/John McStain camp . . . and decided not to waste my time.
President Putin happens to be a very methodical thinker who excels in structured problem-solving, having a very analytical mind.
He is a master at critical thinking-perhaps due in part to his martial arts training – and takes a meticulous approach to documentation (proof).
President Putin knows exactly what he is doing.
The fall of the Ukraine and the globalist regime will be soon.
Underestimating an enemy is one of the greatest strategic errors, leading to unpreparedness, poor decision-making, and often defeat — a warning echoed in both military history and Taoist philosophy.
0.o
Take all the time you want, even if it is limited, and you’d still be wrong about Putin. 😉
J
RUSSIA IS NOT THE SOVIET UNION.
I hear people who are patriots, but lazy and don’t delve into details. They know what they know and will not bend.
The usual retorts:
“Putin is a murderer!”
“Putin was in the KGB!”
“You can’t trust Russia!”
“I don’t want to talk about it.!”
Meanwhile NATO has added 13+ countries after guaranteeing we wouldn’t move one inch closer to Russia.
We’ve had two strong and trustworthy Presidents since the 60s, Reagan and Trump.
If you were an adversary or an ally, who else would you trust?
The fact that Putin was in the KGB is likely why he recognizes the dangerousness of the rogue global intelligence deep state community
the City of London thanks you for your allegiance.
You and they are welcome, though why the globalist establishment would tolerate a fifth columnist like me is anyone’s guess.
When did conservatives become such sheep, I thought this was a leftist trait…
J
The ‘70s called.
They want their foreign policy back.
/s
Exhibit A. 😉
J
You are correct. I don’t recall in his statement Putin showing any sympathy for the Russian people who have suffered millions of casualties in this unnecessary conflict. In fact, Putin never discusses that fact. That is all Trump talks about in wanting to end this war. There are no parallels!
A Dictator slams their fist around and throws their hands while loudly shouting in anger.
Kinda like most Demonrats or teachers Union leaders which this country has more dictator wannabes then globally combined.
Can’t for the life of me understand why people think Russia would want to take Wesrwrn Europe. Like Putin needs more degenerates and mooselums to manage?
The EU and all of those others involved better be paying damn good attention to what he’s saying!
He said it best when he said their economies are in shambles and they need to keep their people occupied on other things. I feel sorry for the stupid people of the EU.
Kind of wish Putin would have been more specific regarding which nation’s space technology is being used against Russia. If it’s still US satellites providing targeting for the cokehead globalist Ukrainian puppet, PDT and John Radcliffe still have a lot of work to do. Given how desperate the EUnuchs are for war with Russia, PDT has done a masterful job of pulling the US back away as much as he has.
I completely agree.
To open the minds of those still under the influence of constant gaslighting, I encourage those who are beginning to see the truth to read Putin’s 2007 speech on security in Munich.
https://securityconference.org/en/publications/books/selected-key-speeches-volume-i/2000-2009/speech-vladimir-putin-2007/

Facts, facts, and more facts. Adults who still have functioning brain cells read and think for themselves, using their own judgment.
You would think, but unfortunately they’re not. Too self absorbed and completely out of touch with reality. Prime example. “How’s those wide-open border policies working out for ya?” Especially, what say you, Macron??
Brilliant man.
No other leader in the world, would have displayed the level of restraint, while under fire, than President Putin Has.
Full Stop.
Also, I’ll give a shout-out for his Foreign Minister Lavrov, a man who is the very epitome of dignity under provocation. He has spent two decades trying desperately to find a diplomatic solution to avoid what the Russian Federation is being forced to do to defend itself from the monstrous evil of globalism. Russia’s impending victory brings hope to all people who want to be free of globalism.
1,274,000 and 2 million estimated casualties (killed and wounded) during the Russian invasion of Ukraine from 24 February 2022 to June 2026. Now that’s what I call “restraint”!
Two weeks before Russia invaded Ukraine, President Joe Biden told Putin he could invade, but only a little bit! 😯

In 2014 took control of Crimea completely once again. President Auto-pen wasn’t installed yet. … The Crimea area has a large Russian military base. The peninsula is inhabited by a majority of Russian people, and they actually voted in an 80% majority that they wanted to be part of Russia.
Joe Biden was famous for his Turnip brain before being installed. … I’m NOT disputing your comment at all. … The coveting of Russia’s open spaces and natural wealth goes far back into history.
No, Russia has not taken full control of Crimea, despite the Mockingbird narrative.
To place this story in the context of international law, which is all too often highly inconsistent…
In a 2014 referendum, Crimea chose to become part of Russia.
This referendum falls within the framework of international law—which is, of course, contested by Ukraine and others who claim to uphold that law—regarding self-determination and the right of peoples to self-determination.
Self deterination https://academic.oup.com/oxford-law-pro/book/58198/chapter-abstract/481345527?login=false&redirectedFrom=fulltext
……This chapter discusses the right of self-determination as a concept of the UN Charter. The right of self-determination is mentioned in the UN Charter in Art 1 (2). With this reference, guaranteeing self-determination of all nations became a central political purpose of the United Nations, inextricably linked with the purpose of achieving friendly relations among nations. Such friendly relations should be based—according to the Charter—on respect for the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples. Such wording already indicates that the drafters considered self-determination to be a fundamental principle of international law. Although Art 1 (2), due to its programmatic character, cannot define in detail the content and scope of a right to self-determination, it sets beyond dispute that it forms part of the law of the Charter and is binding upon all members of the UN. Self-determination is also explicitly mentioned in Art 55 of the Charter. …
“International Law” is a ‘mental concept’ used to justify certain >desires, sometimes reflecting the wishes of the elites and their minions.
The ‘right’ of self-determination was mentioned in your comment. … I do believe the people >voted to remain as part of Russia. … The question becomes, ‘which party or parties is given the right’ to obtain statehood. … Which group of people are given the right of self-determination. … The majority of people in the Crimea wishes to be in Russia. This ‘majority’ is Russian.

As a note: The United Nations is an organization ‘subsidized’ by the United States. … The United Nations and many of its members are complicit in the destruction of current Nations with the encouragement of illegal migration.

&
Chairman Mao and others have correctly stated, ‘Political Power comes out of the barrel of a gun.’
When there is a problem in the world, the United Nations calls the President of the United States and asks for help from the US NAVY and thousands of US Marines.
For a long ‘grind it out war’ the USA uses our excellent US Army.
****
Another note: People need to ‘get real’ about our world. … There is no ‘International Law’ unless backed by a strong military. … +Readers of TheConservativeTreehouse are aware, the USA is being asked to become involved in another large devastating war, that does NOT especially serve the USA’s interest or any humanitarian good.
100 % OK
Not a good time to have our fate tied to the idiots running the EU.
Mr. Putin is not pretending.
He says things as they are, no games, no frills, subtle -like a brick through a window.
He believes in the rule of : FAFO We will see. If you were Putin what Country would you fir the first NUCLUER missile at? I would do England first. The rest of the pansies would fold like a cheap Chinese suit.
Pretty sad that what’s left of Great Britain’s military is lacking and the new recruitment video features white male enlistees. Does anyone believe the invaders would be encouraged to sign up and give their lives to protecting the country they’re trying to overthrow from the inside?
Read the entire portion. Vladimir Putin is exposing the jejune cartoon characters who have stumbled into leadership across Europe and Canada for the childish incompetent imbeciles they are.
These figures do not come to power by chance. They are selected and chosen by the globalist kleptocratic oligarchy.
That of the “major donors.”
Putin is well aware of this; he himself was selected and chosen by this plutocracy after the collapse of the USSR, under the assumption that he would act on their behalf.
We should find a few names in the Epstein files, if the President honors his commitments and the law.
Okay, we can dream as long as it’s still legal….
couldn’t resist taking a swipe at President Trump over Epstein? Apparently you’re much more informed on the subject than he is?
This is not a dig at President Trump.
It is simply a reminder of the commitments made to the MAGA supporters and others who voted for him, as well as a reminder of the legal provisions that were put in place for the declassification of this entire file—of which it seems likely that our closest allies have an unredacted copy.
The truth is like water. It always finds a way.
If you truly seek it, you will eventually find it.
I blame Ukraine and these NATO EU members for antagonizing the Russians. Putin has a point and I never bought into the Ukraine narrative. EU and Ukraine are delusional wanting to instigate starting a broader conflict with Russia is a fools errand. I hope the USA stays out this hot mess. The EU has deindustrialized their economy and wants to start a war with Russia. Their military power are understrength and quite inadequate.Idiots!
You’ve left out the CIA, USAID, and MI6 from your list.
MRGA mirrors MAGA.
Agree – and we should partner up with MRGA.
It seems to me NATO is waiting for President Trump to exit before attacking Russia. Do they have the time before they are voted out, or are those elections rigged as well?
They have openly stated their desired “launch date” is the first year or two after PDJT’s term ends. No coincidence.
In regards to voting – it goes beyond rigging in some areas, as has been seen in Eastern Europe. If the EU doesn’t get the results they want, they nullify the elections due to “irregularities” and install the puppet of their desires…
“Vladimir Putin: I believe they are doing this deliberately. They are intelligent people who shape their messaging, including their public statements, in such a way as to produce the specific domestic political effect they want.”
False accusers are nothing new.
2 Timothy 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
2 Timothy 3: 1-8 “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres [the sorcerers performing luciferian magic in Pharaoh’s court] resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.”
Also seems to include AWFLs, many ‘churches’, and the satanically inclined.
“include AWFLs, many ‘churches’, “
2 Corinthians 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
In my area, there are witches (male and female) openly offering spells in ‘white’ and ‘black’ magic. One shops at my local store in full dress, with a sign about her trade, buying fresh sages and other items for casting spells and working charms. There is no Christian book store here, but well over a dozen occult book stores and supply shops. Even two big box stores carry ouija boards.
The local county opens their meetings with a land acknowledgement that attendees are supposed to go along with. I refuse to participate as the person giving that part invited the spirits of the ancestors to participate and direct the meeting. But that does explain a lot about where I live, and what entity control has been surrendered to.
And not a minister or priest in the area thinks it is a big concern. It would have to be a real invitation, right, not just symbolic.
I wonder what other areas of the country have similar deals with the demonic?
The problem is that the captured Western media will avoid covering all such speeches / comments like the plague. The subjects of Western Europe are being propagandized and brainwashed. Brainwashing does not work, unless you can isolate the intended victims from the truth … which is exactly what the captured media is doing and will continue to do.
And, while Russia is the EU’s “Great Satan,” the US is definitely the EU’s “Little Satan.” Western Europe’s subjects aren’t going to get a reality check from DJT, Vance, Rubio, et al, either, because the EU / City of London are no longer capable of controlling the Trump administration. And forget about the US’ formerly main stream media, because these overwhelmingly Leftist / Globalists are in bed with the EU.
There will be a WWIII in our lifetime, because the EU and the City of London desperately want WWIII. Putin is absolutely correct in this assessment and Russia’s nuclear deterrent will be irrelevant for the folks in Europe who have their own fingers on the proverbial button. I fear that this is the most important, yet least likely conflict that DJT will be able to settle.
I’m surprised I haven’t read anything in the news about Trump’s aggression on Iran and the Militarization of Japan. I would have expected them to focus on those two aspects of the interview and leave Europe/Ukraine completely out of it.
Use AI to search for Hillary Clinton’s history of anti-Russian hyperbole. She’s been at it for most of her life and it culminated in paying for the Steel dossier and the Russia Russia hoax against Donald Trump. Europe’s leftist leaders still lambast Russia and fail to admit to any provocations. Russian military ships sail around the UK and it’s PM immediately talks of war. The entire global left is just itching to have a crack at Russia, whilst ignoring China.
The underlying tone of this whole transcript is one of sadness, and the inevitability of action,,,the Russians don’t want to, but may have to act,,,,they just wanted to be left alone
There are many of us who feel the same way, having the same sense of things…yet who fervently hope that someway, somehow PDJT accomplishes enough to make it unnecessary.
The United States and Russia are natural allies.
The United States and Europe/NATO/UN are not natural allies-hence all of the uncomfortable BS pretending.
I can only imagine the hyper-sensitive tightrope walking and artificial diplomacy that President Trump has had to participate in, all while understanding that Putin is the only truth teller that he deals with.
This truthful speech from Putin should give everyone who reads it a clearer understanding of the life and death challenges President Trump is facing.
This should also give all of us a much greater appreciation of the outstanding work President Trump is doing on our behalf.
May God bless President Trump and President Putin both as they navigate these treacherous times.
These globalists will all turn on the United States just as soon as they think they have an opportunity where than can do so more or less with impunity.
I doubt there is a weapon that they would refrain from using in a first strike.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch (in the UK) –
Video: “I’m Not Dying For This” (Proposed war against Russia, as ‘pushed’ by British pol)
Excellent video.
Includes a recording of Jacob Rees-Mogg lecturing the youth of Britain on their duty to become cannon fodder.
Underscored by his perfect BBC elocution and detached tone.
What swill.
Very few here, I fear, understand or grasp what is taking place in the UK … thank you for the comment.
Can’t wait for the Somalis, Sudanese, Pakis, Indians, and muslims to sign up. I’m sure they’ll all get a deferment.
True that.
Critique of another UK pol who is advocating for British subjects to ‘volunteer’ (do their duty) to fight Russia –
Video: “They Are Coming for Your Sons”
JB Shurk adds his more than two cents worth.
What an odious “man” is Rees-Mogg. Sips his port and waxes nonchalantly, casually about sending Britons to their deaths while his are tucked up safely in their beds.
The Class System is alive and thriving in Blighty.

Thank you.
I have read every word.
I was about a third of the way through when I realized this a two coffee read, in the quiet, with no distractions. Which I will do tomorrow because there is too much to digest in one sitting. So many possibilities for what can go catastrophically wrong…. one man’s sanity vs the asylum grade lunacy of those becoming ever more desperate to provoke a terrible, existential confrontation.
(Remembering “Failsafe”)
Tomorrow then….
Miss Betsy,
If you will scroll down I just posted a link to the entire video of the Valdai event in case you’d rather listen and watch instead of read.
It’s the same video I posted yesterday while the event was on live.

Thank you, Fuzzy. You are a true treasure.
I appreciate it….and you…very much.
Same for me. I finally had to stop and will resume tomorrow.
Russia seems incapable of ending the war by defeating Ukraine and NATO.
Dragging it out just gives NATO the time to plan and carry out actions that they think will strategically defeat Russia.
Russia’s calculations must include possible actions by NATO that cause Russia fear and hesitation.
Destroy Ukraine and NATO command and control inside Ukraine, and the war is over.
NATO does not have captive populations that have been trained and conditioned for war.
NATO cannot kidnap and compel its white men to fight anybody.
France and the UK cannot even control the rapists and violent criminals from muslim and African countries inside their countries, but they can sustain a war against Russia?
Russia is perfectly capable of successfully completing the Special Military Operation in their own good time.
It would behoove you to study Russian/Soviet War History to perhaps glean a better understanding . . .
The NATO cannot strategically defeat Russia; were that possible it would have happened already.
Russia fears nothing and has prepared for any given scenario.
Command and control inside of the Ukraine is no longer an issue; please try to keep up.
The NATO does not have an adequately trained military nor the potential to have one.
France and the UK aren’t trying too control the criminal element within their respective countries; again, please try to keep up.

We know that Russia will not allow itself to be parted out.
Pray we do not ever get to the point they are truly worried that is a real threat.
“but they can sustain a war against Russia?”
They tried it back in 1812, when Bonaparte’s French Army (the largest army in the world at the time) invaded Russia…
Bonaparte made the mistake of ordering the French army to burn Moscow…
The burning of Moscow so incensed the Cossacks (Yes, the Ukrainian Cossacks) that they attacked Bonaparte’s French army…
During the battle, the French army retreated, the Cossacks persued them for a distance of over 200 leagues, cutting the French army to shreds with their sabers, resulting in 500,000 French casualties, including 300,000 killed…
This is a link to President Putin’s speech and the subsequent Q&A at the Valdai Meeting yesterday.
This video was translated correctly in real time (I watched it live yesterday and posted a link on the Presidential Politics Topic) and does not appear to have been dubbed after the fact, although I have not listened to this replay in its entirety I have no reason to believe was altered.
Closed Captioning is also available if you want to read along; some of the translators do have accents that may be difficult for some to understand easily.

Very articulate and informed. Even if he was reading a teleprompter or notes, which he doesn’t appear to be doing, can you picture President Trump carrying on such a detailed, and technical response? I love Mr. Trump and believe he is one of the best Presidents America has ever had. But he’s not an intellectual. I wish the caliber of our politicians was higher, better educated, and capable of coherent speaking on multiple topics like Mr. Putin is. Not saying he’s without flaws, but he’s impressive and deserving of respectable. Can you imagine how great our Country would be if we had leaders today like the founding fathers?
“can you picture President Trump carrying on such a detailed, and technical response?”
Yes I can.
You haven’t seen Trump at press conferences?
He can handle any question, any topic, off the cuff.
Take your TDS elsewhere
Oh yes!!! We need more intellectuals telling us how to attain their ideas of Utopia.
Meanwhile our education system has been unable to teach Johnny how to read, write in cursive, learn arithmetic or even multiplication tables. They have been in charge of our universities and the expense of education far exceeds the rate of inflation and the benefits received.
We need more problem-solvers and less Utopian feel-gooders. VSGPDJT knows every detail about construction and finance.
I would place Putin more in the form of Ronald Reagan who wrote and spoke from a deep intellectual analysis of issues. A philosopher if you will.
I read all of Putin’s words and think he feels like Russia gets no respect after centuries of turmoil. Ending up where they are is an accomplishment that Euroweenies just want to take away, and Putin is not going to stand for it
“deserving of respectable”… or people who post, who know how to spell?
When Putin says (uses its own people. But I doubt they actually consider them their own). He is showing he knows exactly what is going on.
The NWO oligarchs who own most US politicians dont consider Americans like us to be their own either. And yes they want us all dead.
🙏 unceasingly
Insightful.
Thank you Sundance for posting this including the transcripts.
It’s also encouraging to see how the President of Russia is incorporating President Trump’s style of talking openly with the media, the interaction between the leader of a nation and taking on (hopefully this is true with this interview) unscripted questions and answering them openly – this goes a long way for the individual citizen of a country to guage for themselves the caliber of their leader.
This upcoming G20 summit which President Trump has invited Pres. Putin is going to be something for the recordbooks!
I never thought Putin was the devil he is always made out to be.
The 90s were a window of opportunity for the U.S. and Europe to marshal in a new era with the Russian Federation. It was obvious to a kid who grew up in the 1970s that the people under the rule of the Soviet Union communists longed for Western culture and freedoms. But then, the Clintoons came to power, and the Chinese Communists saw their opportunity – buy the President of the United States and his wife. And, they did. Suddenly, Russia was demoted to Third World level diplomatic position as the Red Panda threw money at Washington, DC… and they’ve not ever left.
So, now we are stuck with the Eurotrash urging an escalation of conflict with the nation with the second largest nuclear stockpile on the planet.
President Trump sees the real world. He knows what is afoot. He knows that to have peaceful coexistence with Russia means having trade agreements that are beneficial to both. Personally, I hate the Eurotrash in the European Dictatorship. The EU was nothing more than a globalists power grab. And frankly, I hope ill-fate befalls all of them, but not their people.
Things started before Slick and the Witch, they even started long before the following sequences:
The Russian protagonists haven’t changed in centuries…and they are not centered in our nation.
George Wallace repented.
The others…?
They continue to double down…
No US President would ever dare respond to an Article 5 request to go to war.
That would cause an immediate breakdown of the civil society in every city in the country.
You might be correct in saying it would cause a breakdown, but don’t for a moment underestimate their ability to ignore the obvious, and brazenly do the most stupidly unthinkable thing.
Not only would they do that, they would invite foreign forces to seal the deal.
Include Taiwan in my assessment also.
The Pentagon estimated 5,000 US KIA per day in a ground war with Russia.
Some Taiwan war game simulations show the US losing to China and others show the US would lose 2 aircraft carrier battle groups and tens of thousands of men in the first 3 weeks.
Who else sees Europe waiting for DJT to leave office to escalate the Ukrainian war with Russia to drag the USA into it?
If democrats take control they will surely escalate the tensions with Russia. This is another issue republicans need to hammer home.
Affordability is the democrat talking point. Well, we can’t afford democrats.
We can’t afford getting more involved in Ukraine.
We can’t afford a government run inefficient poor quality healthcare system.
We can’t afford even higher gas prices.
We can’t afford more democrat fraud.
We can’t afford a supreme court dominated by leftist activist judges.
We can’t afford getting rid of the Senate.
We can’t afford democrat money laundering to all their favorite cronies.
We can’t afford babies being killed even before they are born.
We can’t afford protests that burn our cities.
We can’t afford losing our dedicated police infrastructure.
We can’t afford the mental instability of the modern democrat.
We can’t afford the democrat media lies.
We can’t afford……………………………………………….
‘The automation and digitalisation of war lead to the dehumanisation of perception, turning bloodshed and the loss of human lives into a kind of computer game, into a mechanistic routine. To call a spade a spade, this is a path towards the regression of humanity into savagery amid endless talk about grandiose technological progress.‘ [bold emphasis added]
This touches on something profound happening to humanity overall, resulting from digitalization of everything.
Essentially, humanity is being transformed into a global “cyborg-sphere”, with innate human traits supplanted by Tech. Arguably fitting the description of the second beast in Revelation 13.
Uniquely human phenomena including art, imagery, music, expression, communication – corrupted by Tech products devoid of “truth and beauty” to borrow a phrase from Andrew Klavan.
And now AI supplanting human consciousness itself, taking the “cyborg-sphere” to the next level. See Revelation 13.
Reminds me of an episode of Star Trek, ‘A Taste of Armageddon’.
Its central message is that Russia views the Ukraine war as a broader confrontation with NATO and the West, not simply a conflict with Ukraine.
For those of use who live in Reo Linda, as Rush Limbaugh use to say, NATO isn’t a bean.
“Vladimir Putin: By the way, Fyodor, excuse me for interrupting, but I think you understand what lies behind the constant escalation of tensions by many European countries. It is driven by the serious deterioration in their economic and domestic political situation.
Just look at what is happening to their economies, their social policy and the living standards of people in the major European countries. Under these circumstances, they desperately need to divert public attention away from domestic problems and towards external issues.”
He sums up Europe’s entire push for war with Russia in those two paragraphs. Europe’s (Brussels) policies are destroying European economies and cultures. The politicians need a war to deflect blame from their inept leadership before the people rise up and do to them what they did to Mussolini.
re: “Vladimir Putin: Fyodor … I think you understand what lies behind the constant escalation of tensions by many European countries. It is driven by the serious deterioration in their economic and domestic political situation.”
This. I noticed it too, and judging from the ‘war’ sounds/rhetoric coming FROM EU country leaders (incl UK) it has a basis in truth.
Wag the Dog.
Many people do not realize the level of poverty in the EU.
There are states in America where poverty is off the charts, especially in these past 4 decades since globalism destroyed our manufacturing base.
The other week I was reading a comparison for the worst poverty-stricken states in America and the EU and the EU ranked well below our worst states.
The level of poverty in the EU is absolutely unimaginable and you’ll never see it exposed through the mainstream media.

The West decided Russia was brittle and wanted to topple them; hence, the West started the movement East and the War. They wanted to break Russia up into valuable pieces. The initial phase showed a huge line of Russian weaponry stalled on a highway to Kiev and the failure of seizing an airport. Russia looked incompetent and brittle.
Starting a war with a nuclear power is always risky. Escalation is always a slippery slope. Russia stated early on the war is existential in the eyes of Russia. Take them at their word.
After 4 years, the brittleness is on the Western side. The EU is collapsing. Hindsight is proving the idea to break Russia was hairbrained. The Side of Communism is the EU. A trait of all Communists is they always double down on failed policies. The possibility of nuclear war is real. I think the EU wants to commit suicide.
In 2008, the EU Economy was the size of the US economy. Today the EU is 70% of the US economy and falling. There is no talk about changing policies to stem the decline?
I did read the whole thing & downloaded the entire speech from the link. My thoughts about this: I sailed the world from 1996 – 2018 and was outside the western world influences until I found public internet access (cafes, etc) so my news was from various sources/countries. The speeches made by Putin were for me the most sensible I’ve heard during that time. I remember an early one where he was admonishing the attending press. He was asking them “Do you know what you’re doing, do you understand what you’re reporting?” I thought he was definitely the only adult in the room. What the essence of his speech then was exactly the same as what he just said at the Valdai Club. Also, every speech he has made that I’ve heard carried the same message which is “Russia doesn’t want war but will defend itself vigorously when it has to”. Not only Putin but also the few Russian sailors I’ve met have the same attitude and were always serious, sovereign with a good sense of humor. I’ve also suspected a coordination of Trump. Putin & Xi (The ARC) concerning the Deep State takedown and it does appear to be so. I must remember to pick up more popcorn.
Would have loved to continue reading. Since the link has is a .ru site and being in Germany, the government does tremendous work here blocking anyone going outside state allowed domains, even when using a vpn, which I thought was a purpose. I will try to locate elsewhere.

Wise words from a man who survived the collapse of the Soviet regime and restored order to his country. Other than President Trump, is anyone else listening? When you look at the riotous destruction in France, for instance, and watch Macron ignore it, while funneling millions to the Ukraine, the future does look bleak.
Thank you for taking the time to post these transcipts.
The media is, as always, lying about the reason for the Ukraine “war”. Anyone who followed even the fake news saw it was NATO pushing for the conflict. It is as Putin said. NATO pushing to expand to Russia’s border with offensive weapons.
I’m glad to see Putin call out the EU’s economic incompetence so plainly. So many of the world’s problems come from greedy, incompetent people who are always in a mad hurry to prove how superior they are. Now look at the EU. Look at how they fail, how the streets of their largest cities are overrun with third-worlders. Look at all the abandoned factories and plants. They’ve given up on their own future, and now they want to steal Russia’s future instead. Economic vampires.
Globalism needs to die.
We only have black bears in our neck of the woods. They are small and timid as bears go. But I would not mess with one.
As for Putin being a war monger, “85 Days in Slavyansk” documents the extreme frustration with him in 2014 and beyond by those who took up arms against Kiev in 2014 for not lending help. This whilst Kiev at its weakest. Eight years later, Russia sends in troops.
In 2014, the Maydan Revolution in Ukraine installed a new pro-Western government in Kiev. Fearful of the new government, the pro-Russian Donbass region in eastern Ukraine rose up in rebellion. The rebellion started the First Donbass War, and the Failure of either side to achieve their objectives set the stage for the much larger Second Donbass War in 2022.
“85 Days in Slavyansk” is the only book written by an organizer of the 2014 rebellion (Alexander Zhuchkovsky) that has been translated into English. It features extensive interviews with participants on both the Russian and Ukrainian sides of the war. The book discusses the centuries old roots of the rebellion, the formation of the Donbass People’s Militia, the Donbass independence referendums, the ideological motivations of the fighters, the organization of the militia, and the degree of the Russian government’s support for the rebellion.
The siege of Slavyansk lasted from April to July 2014. It was the center of fighting in the early months of the rebellion, and left hundreds dead. The siege was a rallying point for many Russian nationalists, and will serve as a key historical episode for decades to come.
Putin made a great speech and interview. We should pay attention; there is going to be a pop quiz.
I read most of Putin’s comments.
Frankly, I don’t know enough to say whether I believe him or not.
I have no idea who the boogeyman is/booyegymen are.
I know that I don’t trust Zelinski.
I’m not sure that I trust Putin either.
What I know for sure is that lots of people are dying because nothing is getting settled.
I guess that puts me in the “time will tell” camp.
Too much to read. I got about halfway through and gave up, but he made some good points in what I did read. I really hope he crushes the globalist scum.
It’s seems clear Europe needs a war
It will be one they regret
It is one the entire world will regret
Americans should not be dragged in to this EU insanity and we should not be financing any of it
All the world should remember Dresden, but it won’t
Never again recedes, as it always does…
Tragically, it is very obvious that Putin has a vastly more clear-eyed grasp of the situations the world faces today than the man I voted for three times for US President.
Just because some people don’t express their thoughts as readily as others, it doesn’t mean they don’t understand things. Grasping the issues facing the world is demonstrated by action as well as words.
President Putin is very clear in this short speech about the whole Ukraine situation and he is saying what he said at the beginning when the globalist started this war.l
Russia did not start the Ukraine conflict and has maintained this same position all this time.
The Christian Nation of Russia is hated by the globalist because they cast out the demon communism conjured by the globalist coven.
The Holy Spirit has maintained through many over centuries. that Russia will be strongly used in the great revival.
Dark to Light the world is changing.
Come, let us return to the LORD.
For He has torn us to pieces,
but He will heal us;
He has wounded us,
but He will bind up our wounds.
After two days He will revive us;
on the third day He will raise us up,
that we may live in His presence.
So let us know—
let us press on to know the LORD.
As surely as the sun rises,
He will appear;
He will come to us like the rain,
like the spring showers that water the earth.
Hosea 6:1-11
God is coming.
President Putin’s amazing speech. This is just one paragraph. Take the time it is highly recommended.
The future can and will be amazing.
-President Putin
What then of nations? In Russia there comes the hope of the world, not as that sometimes termed of the Communistic, of the Bolshevistic, no. But freedom, freedom! that each man will live for his fellow man! The principle has been born. It will take years for it to be crystallized, but out of Russia comes again the hope of the world. Guided by what? That friendship with the nation that hath even set on its present monetary unit “In God We Trust.”
There was a Red Army angel general; he was the angel over Russia. He was the captain of the hosts in Russia. The Lord was standing with him, and he was totally red like blood. He had the power of the blood; he was like blood and fire. It was the blood of Christ, all the power of the blood. The Lord didn’t speak to me, He just nodded, and what the angel said to say, it was right. He was one very powerful angel; he was an archangel over Russia. He brought me a white piece of paper, and on the paper was written, “Would you be interested in joining the Russian Army of God?” I said, “No, because the door to Russia is going to close.” The angel said, “You’re a liar!” And the Lord nodded to agree.
I said that Russia was going to be equipped and that it would attack the South. The angel said, “That’s right, but did you ever see what the army was?” I said that it was the Red Army. He said that was right, but he said to look, and I looked, and behind them was a red cross. They are going to carry the cross into the cell, into the Muslim nations and into Europe. He said that some of the greatest evangelists in the world will come out of Russia. In the last days, it will not be the door to Russia that will close, it will be the door to the USA, and Russia will send evangelists to the United States.

Interesting. There are clearly profound real differences in interests involved. Russia’s perception – reflected here – is real, in the sense that it describes how many Russian leaders, intellectuals, and ordinary people see the world. Perceptions in the West and in Eastern Europe are equally real in the same sense of how we, the Europeans and the Eastern Europeans perceive the world. Objective truth cannot be accurately determined here.
One of the biggest ‘problems’ in the clash of interests here is that all groups see themselves – quite properly from their perspectives on the world – as right.
The true irreconcilable is between the Eastern Europeans and the Russians. The Eastern Europeans (especially the Baltics and Ukraine) have been ruled by Russia for most of the last 300+ years. They never liked it and the instant they’ve had a choice they want to make sure they’re never run by the Russians again. From a Western perspective, which sees the Russians as essentially quasi-European barbarians, which they are by Western European (and American) standards, the Eastern Europeans’ desire to have nothing to do with the Russians is perfectly understandable – even if the historical reality is they are neighbors, the Russians are bad neighbors. So, neither the Eastern Europeans nor the Western Europeans (nor Americans) want to see Russia controlling or even heavily influencing Eastern Europe. This in the area Russians naturally given their history see as their natural sphere of interest.
The ‘problem’ if you will is that the West generally never regarded Russian influence in Eastern Europe as ‘legitimate’ in the same way German or Austrian interest was regarded.
The only way this will be resolved short of (nuclear) war is either (i) the West basically cuts Eastern Europe loose and leaves them to their fate viz a viz. the Russians or (ii) the Russians accept the fact that ALL of the countries (including Ukraine which is the most Russian of the lot) in their former empire still profoundly hate them and will continue to profoundly hate them, and therefore abandon the notion of any influence in the Western areas of their former empire for centuries until memories fade and new memories develop through centuries of behavior the Eastern Europeans don’t see as threatening.
East Prussia is another matter entirely. Russian can probably defend it. Almost all of the ethnic Germans are gone. And yet, it is unquestionably part of Europe which no one will ever concede is legitimately Russian. A re-armed Europe would probably make it impossible for the Russians to keep.
Cuba in the 60’s; Ukraine into NATO today. Same scenario, hate to say it but Putin is correct.
