I’m just making a note on this story because it seems to align with other events in the ongoing Ukraine vs Russia narrative assembly, recently discussed.
The initial story, usually the most accurate {source}, stated that at an area within the Leipzig/Halle Airport complex in Germany, a small tour group noticed a drone flying low to the ground in/around the area where cargo planes are located. Leipzig is used by NATO as a cargo airport to deliver weapons.
The driver of the bus got out, pushed the drone to the ground and called airport authorities to notify them. The drone was located near the area where two Ukrainian Antonov aircraft were located. The airport houses two Ukraine Antonov aircraft not being used, and three Russian Antonov’s’ grounded and stored since EU sanctions.
The drone was a quadcopter type, with limited distance capabilities. Inspection of the drone revealed it carried 800 grams of explosive material and a faulty detonator. The drone was taken into custody by airport authorities.
As the initial report was made the airport triggered standard security practices rerouting cargo planes. A rerouted DHL cargo carrier then encountered another drone about 400 meters in altitude, which hit the nose of the plane. The plane diverted to Hannover and landed without issue.
This quadcopter drone at Leipzig Airport happens on the same day that Ukrainian President Zelenskyy accused Russia of attacking a street vendor in Kherson, Ukraine, with an almost identical drone.
Today, many were shocked by yet another video of the drone “safari” Russians are carrying out against civilians in Kherson. A Russian drone deliberately hunted down a man selling vegetables and detonated right next to him. The Russians even admitted to the crime, showing zero… pic.twitter.com/uGjC7esFwR

Remarkably, the guy in the video above is ok, he suffered minor (non-penetrating) injuries.
This Russia attack narrative just doesn’t pass the smell test. First, why would Russia care about a guy at a street market in Kherson? Second, the quadcopter drone operator has to be close to the event in order to fly the drone and detonate the payload.
AIRPORT DRONE – The area of the airport in Leipzig, Germany, is unused and there’s no way this quadcopter drone flew all the way into this area from Russia. Again, likely someone had to be close to the operation, or if remote operated from a distance they would have to deliver it somewhere close to launch it.
It is fair to say we are in an information war and increasingly it is impossible to tell which side is carrying out the activity.
In the airport drone incident, despite the claims of the EU attributing the origin to Russia, there is no substantive value for Russia in such an action. Simultaneously, when looking at the promotion of the Kherson attack by Zelenskyy there’s something odd about his statement, “The world must see this. It must see every piece of evidence that Russia has gone mad and that its soldiers take pleasure in killing and abusing civilians. Without pressure on Russia, the dismantling of its capacity for aggression, and real security guarantees, it is simply impossible to imagine the world being able to coexist with this evil.”
Obviously, there is not enough information to make any definitive statements about origination, targeting or intent. However, overall, there is a pattern of desperation evident in the position of Ukraine since mid-June (London visit) which could indicate an effort to create circumstances to pull NATO ever closer to joining military activity against Russia directly.
German authorities are investigating what appears to have been an attempted explosive drone attack at Leipzig/Halle Airport after a drone carrying an explosive device was discovered near Ukrainian cargo aircraft, according to BILD.

Bird shot will solve a small drone problem.
Bus driver had some cojones to get out and push the drone to rhe ground. Bet he didn’t think at all about explosives being aboard.
Hence, it’s all BS.
Bingo
We don’t know. The bus driver could have parked the bus momentarily blocking the view of the drone operator for the seconds it took to hop out and slam it to the ground. It stated it was a tour bus so it’s possible the driver was an airport employee who knew there shouldn’t be a drone there. He is in Germany so there is no reason to expect explosives.
I would speculate that someone was trying to blow up one of those transport planes, from either side.
“an effort to create circumstances to pull NATO ever closer to joining military activity against Russia directly.”
Sounds plausible to me.
And there just happened to be someone there to film the event?
It was a “tour” bus ZM, doncha think there was a few cameras on a TOUR bus? Got that? A TOUR bus.
yikes- MM has roid rage! I’m glad I’m safely behind my keyboard. 😅
Sorry, it’s just frustrating sometimes that people don’t read or think through things before they blab.
Nothing new under the sun.
Well, remember when NATO allies failed to support US efforts in Iran? Trump doesn’t nor does Secretary Hegseth. I don’t think the US will be assisting any faux induced actions by Ukraine to draw NATO allies into conflict.
Please check your negtives.
Robert Ford, it isn’t false that you didn’t not shoot Jesse James, no? 😉
The Ukraine conflict evidently serves multiple greater aims.
Destabilizing Europe is apparently one, as this drone incident shows.
Europe’s strengths including industry have posed impediments to China’s rise to hegemon, therefore Europe must be degraded.
As the US must also be degraded as part of the Plan, now executing.
Biowarfare Attrition
DIE
Energy Infrastructure Degradation
Runaway Feedback Loop Sovereign Debt
Immigration Flooding
Military Depletion
Ukraine is fighting a media/propaganda war. Russia is fighting a ground war to take the territory that is populated by Russian speaking people. Ukraine has upped the ante lately and is trying to weaken the Russian civilian resolve to continue fighting. Putin has stated the war is existential for Russia.
Ukraine continues to lose territory.
The distance to the closest Russian border is 410 miles straight. I’m not buying what they are saying. . . It wasn’t Russia.
The article stated that the drone was short range so was launched near the airport. If Israelis can run around Tehran looking for senior officials why couldn’t Russia have their spies running around the EU.
Aha!
It’s The Jews(tm).
I just knew it had to be so.
Mossad are everywhere, doing everything.
SB didn’t say that. Your anti-semitism reflexor needs calibration.
To attack fruit vendors sounds like a cost effective plan
5th Generation warfare, for and against minds and wills.
I’m sure every world power has gamed this out. At what point do we all cease to believe anything we see or hear is true? And what then? Does society become anarchic, or just very oriented toward local community and circle of trusted friends?
If truth became relational again–based on knowing the person–that would fall in line again with scriptures, both old testament and new.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge” in Proverbs is mirrored by Paul’s letter to the Romans centuries later, in describing the intellectual results of separating knowledge from relationship. “For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their reasonings, and their senseless hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools,”
War has always been based on lies directed against the liar’s own population. Nothing cutting edge about that.
How else are you going to convince your farm boys to sharpen some sticks and join the Push of Pike meatball? They certainly won’t do it because of your lust for the neighboring lord’s wife or lands.
My first thought was this is a Ukrainian operation designed to look like a Russian operation.
That is what started this was in 20014 in Donbas.
Same, and I’m not that smart.
So obvious it’s Ukraine or the EU feeding a false narrative. It’s definitely not Russia!
Macron and his cronies want war. Europe is on the verge of bankruptcy and the natives are getting restless! They’re voting to the right and these European heads of State are worried.
Obviously, none of this makes sense in the way Zelensky wants it to. He is desperate. Cornered rats always are.
We know the intent. We have known the intention since 2021, to pull NATO/United States into a full blown war with Russia.
Staged for propaganda from start to to end.
I’m sure Russia is so desperate to have NATO help Ukraine that they are doing everything possible to bring them into the battle or is it the other way around and its Ukraine who needs help? Personally, with Ukraine building drones in UK, every citizen might consider being on the lookout for them.

Moreover, the advantage is so huge that …
Fact is, these operations should be taught in the US Army War College, because that’s the cutting edge of war fighting known only to US military and US senators. Keep in mind, there are still people in the US who strongly believe that the US was triumphant in Vietnam and Afghanistan. It also defeated Third Reich single-handedly.
The deep state and their hapless but fatally brave and stubborn army of Ukraine can’t be defeated soon enough.
Maybe there will be enough Ukrainian men left to repopulate Ukraine, because the West had decided that the way to save Ukraine was to push it to war with Russia and inflict millions of dead and wounded on the population.
It’s all good as long as Russia is defeated strategically.
I was dubious about the Kherson attack, although in the light of Ukraine’s striking of civillian targets, it was almost plausible. This business in Germany, however, is not. I was supposed to believe that Russia blew up its own pipeline, too. Remember?
The first casualty of war really is truth. That has been glaringly obvious in the Russia/Ukraine war from the very start…and even before.
Thank you Sundance. As always. The deep question is should be trust a crook? Should we trust what this deceptive, dishonest, corrupt human being says? For me: NO! I don’t care what he says I have zero trust in him, his people or anyone elevating him to saint status. PERIOD.
There are thousands of people in Germany who hate Ukraine, Israel, the U.S., and so on and so forth. Not hard to expect some of them could be recruited to help Russia or any one of a multitude of Islamic groups. You are completely correct that this small drone could not have come directly from Russia, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t operated by a pro-Russia individual.
Mark Warner, is that you?

The CIA hasn’t given up on starting WW3 before the Nov elections.
I do not trust Zelinsky. Have not since the start of this. He is not into this to save his country. He is in to this to make cash through Laundering
If memory serves, in the American Boys Handy Book (ca. 1882) there are instructions for building a bolo, a very compact and handy weapon, fits in your pocket, looks inoffensive, and will take down a drone—but be sure to practice on a fencepost and not your neighbor’s yappy Chiweenie.
Is this what you mean?
I should get this “Handy” book for my grandkids

While we didn’t have drones, we did do training like this back in the day.
The bit of live explosive then was needed to get the bowser’s noses working, though the devices were not otherwise viable.
So was this training that got loose to the media?
Drone might as well have a pop up flag that says “FALSE!”
