I’m just making a note on this story because it seems to align with other events in the ongoing Ukraine vs Russia narrative assembly, recently discussed.
The initial story, usually the most accurate {source}, stated that at an area within the Leipzig/Halle Airport complex in Germany, a small tour group noticed a drone flying low to the ground in/around the area where cargo planes are located. Leipzig is used by NATO as a cargo airport to deliver weapons.
The driver of the bus got out, pushed the drone to the ground and called airport authorities to notify them. The drone was located near the area where two Ukrainian Antonov aircraft were located. The airport houses two Ukraine Antonov aircraft not being used, and three Russian Antonov’s’ grounded and stored since EU sanctions.
The drone was a quadcopter type, with limited distance capabilities. Inspection of the drone revealed it carried 800 grams of explosive material and a faulty detonator. The drone was taken into custody by airport authorities.
As the initial report was made the airport triggered standard security practices rerouting cargo planes. A rerouted DHL cargo carrier then encountered another drone about 400 meters in altitude, which hit the nose of the plane. The plane diverted to Hannover and landed without issue.
This quadcopter drone at Leipzig Airport happens on the same day that Ukrainian President Zelenskyy accused Russia of attacking a street vendor in Kherson, Ukraine, with an almost identical drone.
Today, many were shocked by yet another video of the drone “safari” Russians are carrying out against civilians in Kherson. Remarkably, the guy in the video above is ok, he suffered minor (non-penetrating) injuries.
This Russia attack narrative just doesn’t pass the smell test. First, why would Russia care about a guy at a street market in Kherson? Second, the quadcopter drone operator has to be close to the event in order to fly the drone and detonate the payload.
AIRPORT DRONE – The area of the airport in Leipzig, Germany, is unused and there’s no way this quadcopter drone flew all the way into this area from Russia. Again, likely someone had to be close to the operation, or if remote operated from a distance they would have to deliver it somewhere close to launch it.
It is fair to say we are in an information war and increasingly it is impossible to tell which side is carrying out the activity.
In the airport drone incident, despite the claims of the EU attributing the origin to Russia, there is no substantive value for Russia in such an action. Simultaneously, when looking at the promotion of the Kherson attack by Zelenskyy there’s something odd about his statement, “The world must see this. It must see every piece of evidence that Russia has gone mad and that its soldiers take pleasure in killing and abusing civilians. Without pressure on Russia, the dismantling of its capacity for aggression, and real security guarantees, it is simply impossible to imagine the world being able to coexist with this evil.”
Obviously, there is not enough information to make any definitive statements about origination, targeting or intent. However, overall, there is a pattern of desperation evident in the position of Ukraine since mid-June (London visit) which could indicate an effort to create circumstances to pull NATO ever closer to joining military activity against Russia directly.
German authorities are investigating what appears to have been an attempted explosive drone attack at Leipzig/Halle Airport after a drone carrying an explosive device was discovered near Ukrainian cargo aircraft, according to BILD.

It reduces the electrostatic charge that would otherwise build up between the brush and vinyl record THEREBY forcing dust particles to just disburse randomly ahead of the brush via a like, or repulsive (same) electric charge …
Using Polonium as a source of charged particles for the cleaning brush, clever.
Limiting the electrostatic forces works well for keeping the dust from sticking to stuff.

I saw that video late yesterday. A nice, steady, clear color video taken from probably no more than 100 feet away. The drone flying around and around trying to get close to the man, who was running about trying to avoid it. But the smell test didn’t pass with me, either. If it really was Russian, why wouldn’t the operator go after the person filming the incident? Sure, might have been hard to see, but you would think the operator of the drone would surveil the whole area before deciding on what to attack. And then after it is detonated the video immediately gets into the hands of none other than Zelensky himself!!!
I believe that was a Ukrainian drone and a Ukrainian operator and the person doing the filming was right next to him and also Ukrainian. I would not doubt one bit that the incidents in Leipzig were also perpetrated by a Ukrainian team with a Ukrainian drone. Or at least these were done by others on Ukraine’s behalf. And Zelensky probably knows beforehand that these incidents are being planned and carried out and is just waiting to be able to tell the world that it is all Russia’s fault.

A determined adversary would have done this attack at night or in low light conditions and taken all efforts to ensure the drones were not spotted before detonating. Anyone with a brain can see the exact opposite was done here: EVERY effort was made to ensure the drones were spotted.

For the last two years Ukraine has been losing 30,000+ monthly and recruiting 20,000 to 15,000 monthly. On top of that the quality of the recruits is poor. The Ukrainian army is bled white ! Unless Ukraine can get NATO boots on the ground and into the fight they have only months left. Ukraine is desperate but other that the UK there’s no NATO countries internally politically desperate enough to fight in Ukraine. So the person recording the video of the street vendor films the whole thing, but then doesn’t continue filming to see if the guy gets up. He conveniently steps behind the van out of view and then the explosion occurs. An explosion which could’ve just been fuel to create a fireball. And then supposedly said victim goes to the hospital. The whole thing could be fabricated. An act. For that matter, the whole video could be an AI creation. Believe NOTHING you see anymore, especially out of Ukraine, Iran, China, or Russia.

Are there any rules as to flying on private property? B/c I have no direct neighbors & from my vantage point on back lanai is my fenced backyard, which is surrounded by jungle on right & back side, & a mostly open lot to the left.
This happens at night several times a week between 10-11pm usually. Mostly I hear it- loud enough & easily over the AC (as does the cat). Last night it was back… clearly it flies in over tall trees to my right, & drops in & through the yard. Usually the lights are off so you can only hear it. However last night, before flying off, its lights (bluish purple) flashed on & off twice when it was in my direct line of sight about 30 feet away. Weird!
FTR, Im outside every night usually staring at my ph. It’s fairly dark, but there’s light from a couple windows & door behind me. I’m assuming it has night vision- b/c why is anyone routinely flying a drone in the dark & with its lights off??
