The Office of Senator Mitch McConnell has released a picture and statement intended to answer questions about the status of the Kentucky senator. However, many are questioning the content.
Personally, the accompanying image doesn’t really matter much – it is reported to be AI enhanced, but who can tell. However, the message that accompanies the picture? Well, that text is total BS and did not come from McConnell.
You can tell McConnell did not write it by the way it is written (particularly paragraph #2), and more importantly, there is no mention of condolence following Senator Lindsey Graham’s death.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released the following note to constituents regarding his hospitalization and recovery:
“To my fellow Kentuckians –
“When you elected me to a seventh term and made me our Commonwealth’s longest serving Senator, you did so trusting that I’d keep showing up to fight for you every day. And over the past several weeks, Elaine and I have appreciated both your well wishes and your honest questions about what was keeping me away from the Senate.
“You all know how folks of my generation often hesitate to share the vulnerability that comes with growing older. Even in the public eye, I feel that same instinct – I can’t help it.
“But at the same time, I’ve had more than my share of experience with physical vulnerabilities. Surviving childhood polio meant spending my entire life with mobility challenges. They haven’t exactly gotten easier to manage with age. And last month, I took a fall which landed me in the hospital.
“My doctors have confirmed that I didn’t break any bones or suffer a concussion. I didn’t have a heart attack or a stroke. I don’t have any tumors or hemorrhages. But I was briefly unconscious and was taken to the hospital. While receiving excellent care over the past several weeks, I’ve also had to deal with a mild case of pneumonia.
“I can assure you that I’ve been a good patient. At my age, I tend to do what my doctors tell me to do. I’ve submitted to every test they can think of to help figure out what caused this incident. And I’m continuing to do everything they ask to speed my recovery. In fact, with signs of continued progress, I’ve been able to move from hospital care to a rehabilitation center where I’ll keep regaining my strength.
“As much as it frustrates me, this process takes time. And on the advice of my doctors, I won’t be able to return to the Senate floor to vote quite yet. But rest assured that, in the meantime, I’m not taking a break from the Senate business that matters to you. I’ve been working closely with my legislative staff on current issues, and with my Kentucky team who help me provide timely constituent services across our Commonwealth. I’ve also been keeping in touch with my Senate colleagues on the appropriations process, midterm politics, and everything in between.
“You’re right to expect your representatives to work hard for you. And part of my decision to retire at the end of my term this coming January was being honest about the demands of Senate work. But I still have unfinished business to complete on your behalf, and I have every intention of finishing the job you elected me to do.
“I’ll keep working hard to get back on the Senate floor as soon as possible. And I’ll keep you posted on the progress of my recovery. Until then, I’m so grateful for your prayers and well wishes.”

From the Office of the Attending Physician:
“Senator McConnell has experienced several falls throughout the year that have been attributed to his post-polio condition. He was admitted to the hospital four weeks ago after falling at home and sustaining minor injuries.
“A comprehensive evaluation by a multidisciplinary team determined that he had no fractures, cardiac abnormalities, stroke, tumor, or hemorrhage. Early in his hospitalization, he developed pneumonia, which responded rapidly to antibiotic treatment.
“The remainder of his hospital stay focused on physical therapy and strategies to reduce his risk of future falls. He has been medically cleared to continue fully participating in his intensive physical therapy program.”
Comrade Suspicious Cat remains, well, increasingly suspicious.

Our government has to know it has a major problem when the people do not believe “ the narrative” on either McConnell or Graham.
There are way more of us than them.
Doing what, though?
Lindsey Graham was 71 years old, had a family history of heart issues, was rumored to be a little too fond of the bottle, and had clearly put on a fair amount of weight over the past couple of years. I have zero issues believing that he had a catastrophic cardiac event and died before he could even get to the hospital. It happens every single day in this country but there are no headlines unless it happens to a United States Senator who is reported to be on an Iranian “kill list”…no story here, please move on!
Mitch McConnell is a COMPLETELY different story. He has been in obviously poor health for a couple of years, with repeated falls, “freezing” episodes, and clear cognitive issues. He was, according to EMS dispatch recordings, taken to the hospital on June 14th, unconscious, and undergoing CPR, which is far more brutal to the body than most people realize, especially if the body in question is 84 years old!
There was NO word from his office or his family until this past week, when a lot of people started pushing HARD for information…and suddenly, he is having 20 minute conversations with all kinds of different people! And now, lo and behold, he his office releases a photo of him, happily smiling, along with his adoring wife, dressed in civilian clothes and reading the local sports section, from a bed in an unnamed rehab center….
Yeah, NO!!
Here are the people that are really in control of Mitch–they are the ones calling the shots for him.
Senator Mitch McConnell’s staff is led by Chief of Staff Terry Carmack. Other key members of his team include Legislative Director Tiffany Ge, Communications Director Robert Steurer, and Scheduler Emily Louden.
Terry Carmack is the real power. https://www.legistorm.com/person/bio/15825/Terry_Alan_Carmack.html
Simple question – is his Senate security detail still stationed at the hospital or have they left and gone to the unnamed rehab center where he is supposedly recuperating? If they are still at the hospital then this whole “letter” is a sham – period!
The ultimate proof of this situation would be for President Trump to visit McConnell.
And tweet about what a great man he is to induce vomiting, again.
Boilerplate. And it does nothing to quash speculation, rather, encourages it.
PS. Look at the back of his left hand.
High risk for the Senator:

Yep and once again it raises the question of why was he alone in the house? At that stage of life there should be someone at the house to cook and clean and make sure he is taken care of.
It would be a neglect case if he was home alone given the most recent images of him.
He’s been in a wheelchair and even before he was seen in the wheelchair, he had assistants helping him walk, they were right there because he’s been such a frequent faller.
Someone in this condition isn’t able to live alone or be alone, there are all sorts of things he can’t do in that condition for himself.
Nothing at all going on here is believable and frankly, I find it insulting when they try and pull this crap on us- given that 17 to 22 million people work in the medical field and know what we are looking at !!
Whoever got the contract for those chairs in hospitals should be strapped to one for a long, long, long time. Worst chairs to recline in, let alone sleep. I build furniture, and I’m convinced whoever has the deal is related to somebody, because they have no clue about building furniture. That or they like torturing people who are already in a bad place to begin with.
And they are awfully heavy for the nurse to move, esp. if there is a patient sitting in it.
The better ones have locking wheels but yes those things are heavy and bulky.
I’m totally suspicious. I smell a rat. I know that he is one and he has no honor or integrity. I’ve thought for days that he is actually dead. The doctor statement is not reassuring, (The doctors lied about Joe Biden). This is not good a photo and the statement is not proof of life. Zoom in on left hand. Long fingernails. Left hand looks bruised, red, swollen. Again, left hand, look where his hand meets his wrist. The skin tone doesn’t match. Right hand nails trimmed short.
It could be the lighting but right eye is blue, left eye looks brown. It’s not like they don’t have the technology to use an actor, and voice modification.
As Sundance pointed out, nothing mentioned about Lindsey Graham.
The swollen left hand could be due to punctures for ABGs. They use the radial artery mostly but repeated testing takes a toll.
He may have had a IV placed in his hand as well.
Would have been more believable if he had some tubes hooked up and a hospital gown. No equipment or monitors at all.
He is not in hospital
Fang Fang sure does lift his spirits. Mitch has been a good soldier and after Fang Fang reported to her boss Mitch was the next thing on her mind.
TERM LIMITS
He’s dead, Jim.
It was nice of whomever made this photo of them to airbrush Mitch and Yum Yum’s wrinkles.
What happens tomorrow when the Senate Rules Committee meets?
Is Mitch going to chair the meeting remotely on a screen?
Is that what this is, a set up for his appearance at the committee meeting?
