The Office of Senator Mitch McConnell has released a picture and statement intended to answer questions about the status of the Kentucky senator. However, many are questioning the content.
Personally, the accompanying image doesn’t really matter much – it is reported to be AI enhanced, but who can tell. However, the message that accompanies the picture? Well, that text is total BS and did not come from McConnell.
You can tell McConnell did not write it by the way it is written (particularly paragraph #2), and more importantly, there is no mention of condolence following Senator Lindsey Graham’s death.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released the following note to constituents regarding his hospitalization and recovery:
“To my fellow Kentuckians –
“When you elected me to a seventh term and made me our Commonwealth’s longest serving Senator, you did so trusting that I’d keep showing up to fight for you every day. And over the past several weeks, Elaine and I have appreciated both your well wishes and your honest questions about what was keeping me away from the Senate.
“You all know how folks of my generation often hesitate to share the vulnerability that comes with growing older. Even in the public eye, I feel that same instinct – I can’t help it.
“But at the same time, I’ve had more than my share of experience with physical vulnerabilities. Surviving childhood polio meant spending my entire life with mobility challenges. They haven’t exactly gotten easier to manage with age. And last month, I took a fall which landed me in the hospital.
“My doctors have confirmed that I didn’t break any bones or suffer a concussion. I didn’t have a heart attack or a stroke. I don’t have any tumors or hemorrhages. But I was briefly unconscious and was taken to the hospital. While receiving excellent care over the past several weeks, I’ve also had to deal with a mild case of pneumonia.
“I can assure you that I’ve been a good patient. At my age, I tend to do what my doctors tell me to do. I’ve submitted to every test they can think of to help figure out what caused this incident. And I’m continuing to do everything they ask to speed my recovery. In fact, with signs of continued progress, I’ve been able to move from hospital care to a rehabilitation center where I’ll keep regaining my strength.
“As much as it frustrates me, this process takes time. And on the advice of my doctors, I won’t be able to return to the Senate floor to vote quite yet. But rest assured that, in the meantime, I’m not taking a break from the Senate business that matters to you. I’ve been working closely with my legislative staff on current issues, and with my Kentucky team who help me provide timely constituent services across our Commonwealth. I’ve also been keeping in touch with my Senate colleagues on the appropriations process, midterm politics, and everything in between.
“You’re right to expect your representatives to work hard for you. And part of my decision to retire at the end of my term this coming January was being honest about the demands of Senate work. But I still have unfinished business to complete on your behalf, and I have every intention of finishing the job you elected me to do.
“I’ll keep working hard to get back on the Senate floor as soon as possible. And I’ll keep you posted on the progress of my recovery. Until then, I’m so grateful for your prayers and well wishes.”
###
From the Office of the Attending Physician:
“Senator McConnell has experienced several falls throughout the year that have been attributed to his post-polio condition. He was admitted to the hospital four weeks ago after falling at home and sustaining minor injuries.
“A comprehensive evaluation by a multidisciplinary team determined that he had no fractures, cardiac abnormalities, stroke, tumor, or hemorrhage. Early in his hospitalization, he developed pneumonia, which responded rapidly to antibiotic treatment.
“The remainder of his hospital stay focused on physical therapy and strategies to reduce his risk of future falls. He has been medically cleared to continue fully participating in his intensive physical therapy program.”
Comrade Suspicious Cat remains, well, increasingly suspicious.

Turtle boy falls 10x more than President Ford and constantly wheeled around in a wheel chair and we are to believe the Doctor?
The same type of Doctor who told us the Stumbling auto pen President had a clean bill of health which tells us the medical community serving DC is as corrupt as all politicians.
Didn’t China Chow run off to her homeland and a debriefing from her CCP leadership ?
Mitch should be holding up a copy of today’s WaPo
It was today’s WaPo sports section was it not?
Yeah, but it’s too relaxed, missing that trying-too-hard “proof of life” vibe.
Yes.
How about this?
Wow, Betsy
The dead celebs look better than the dead Senator!
“You ain’t nothin but a turtle, cryin’ all the time”
“Talk low, talk slow, and don’t say too much.”
“Remember, one bad turtle don’t spoil the whole bunch, girl!”
Now THAT’s real! How do I know?
I gave John that belt buckle on a camping trip years ago.
Just ask Big Foot.
This reminds me of that scene in “Midnight Run” where the character “Marvin” (John Ashton) takes a proof of life photo of “The Duke” – “Jonathan Mardukas” (Charles Grodin) holding up the current day’s issue of the “Las Vegas Review-Journal” not realizing he also captured the name of the motel that is on the towels hanging on the rack behind “The Duke” thus enabling the goons working on behalf of the Chicago mob boss, “Jimmy Serrano” (Dennis Farina) to quickly locate “The Duke” and bring him to “Jimmy”.
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/9r0TY24XVcw?feature=share
Whoever is running this scam about Mitch McConnell is the “Marvin” in the story.
“Mitch should be holding up a copy of today’s WaPo”
^^^ THIS ^^^
Because A.I. has issues with text, hands and feet.
You nailed it. I tried enlarging the newspaper and the text was really wonky. It clearly is today’s WaPo sports section due to the picture but the text was not readable.
What kind of issues does AI have with hands and feet?
“What kind of issues does AI have with hands and feet?”
Proportions, as well as the numbers of fingers and toes. Google used to have an A.I. site for artists called Playground. I downloaded about 120,000 pictures before it was closed to artists posting their work in late 2024. I do not have those pictures available to post an example on this site.
Thanks!
Plus the newspaper appears to be glowing where it touches Mitch’s finger.
You could “shop” that too.
Covid corrupted 99.99% of our medical personal. Their choice was either lose their medical licenses or lie to us about the vaccine being safe.
100% True

Right on, Snellville Bob. I’ll die in the most excruciating pain before I ever step into a “hospital”. I won’t give them the satisfaction of killing me legally. I”ll take God’s judgement for the sins I’ve committed but I will not let the incompetent humans who murdered innocent people (many elderly) kill me with their advanced science.
The worst part was keeping these poor souls away from their families at the most crucial time of their lives. I was lucky as hell to have my 89 yo Mom and 69 yo brother only get one SHOT before convincing them it was DEADLY.
They are both still alive and well today but no thanks to the CDC, NIH, previous government personnel and a complacent media who lied and lied and lied and then moved on to new LIES.
Was in the hospital for COVID. Went back, and the local Democrats were cheering on the hospital personnel, which was totally sus.
Can nobody see him? Why cant someone visit him and see his state? I dont believe this statement at all.
In other words….
I declare, Betsy… you are ‘the most’.
Betsy Jones you are the
BEST !!! 👍👍👍💯
I have to admit I didn’t “get it” until I read Deb’s post! You sure post some great ones, Betsy.
Thanks for the chuckle.
Thanks, guys…💕
In that photo, no wedding band.
He’s either in a hospital or jail.
“no wedding band”
Hospitals frown on jewelry, watches, etc.
Who cut and styled his hair and shaved him? He looks way too good for being hospitalized so long. If he looked that good, he should have made a video.
As well as wrote his own press release. I never read anything he wrote; however, I concur with sundance that it was not written by the Senator.
When my husband was in the hospital he had to remove all jewelry. At the time he had two earrings from when he was in college in the early 90’s. They don’t want you wearing anything like that. Kind of glad they told him to remove them because he was never able to put them back in. LOL!
Alive or dead? Who knows? Corrupt, affirmative. Apparently the only “job” in the world people don’t retire from is our congress. Must be a tough “job”.

‘He’s so dead’: Critics erupt as wife of stricken senator appears to shop new carpet
“Marjorie Taylor Greene told us Mitch is a vegetable and his “Communist Chinese spy” wife is meeting with Chinese leaders instead of rushing home to be by his bedside,” TMZ added. “Meanwhile, Scott Jennings says the 84-year-old politician was lucid enough to have a conversation for ‘just shy of 20 minutes’ about current events.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/he-s-so-dead-critics-erupt-as-wife-of-stricken-senator-appears-to-shop-new-carpet/ar-AA27EWN9
Elaine thinks, “Gotta sell the house to get me my Condo on Palm Beach.”
About those carpet samples…Home Depot? Lowes? Chicagoland’s Empire?
When you have that kind of money, one would, I think, be using more sizable carpet squares, to chose carpet for a pricey townhome in that area, to enhance the price? And not a big square of cardboard, with multiple colors?
I know I am being snooty, but geez…or…replacing carpet due to body fluids from the event a month ago? (My neighbor had to do that).
“replacing carpet due to body fluids from the event a month ago? (My neighbor had to do that).”
When my roommate died last December, his two year old bed went right into the dumpster after being bagged.
That is what I was thinking.
You realize that’s some stock photo that someone posted, right? That’s not the ACTUAL guy showing up at their house with carpet samples. SMH
Anything passes for news and truth these days if it meets with the person viewing it’s expectations.
He was apparently unconscious, which means he could have crapped his pants, ruined the wood flooring or the carpet, etc.
Doesn’t seem like much of a stretch for her or someone else who runs the household to want to replace that and fix it ASAP.
He must have lost a lot of blood.
The conspiracy theories in this article and comments do not conform to several realities. First, there is no benefit to denying a Senator’s demise. Second, why would the democrat governor ask McConnel to give a statement for the benefit of the constituency? Third, Republican senate leaders would not have any benefit from lying about conversations if those were later proved false. The conspiracy theories are pure bs.
>>”First, there is no benefit to denying a Senator’s demise.”
Keeping it from being official until it’s too late for someone — say, Thomas Massie — from running for and winning his seat is the reason most think they’re doing it.
The primary for McConnel’s seat has already been had. Andy Barr won it and will be running in November against the Democrat, whoever that is. No Senator Massie from Kentucky.
AI has become an excuse for all, e.g. “That photo must or could be AI”. “I don’t want to believe what you’re telling me or what I’m seeing.” “Where did you get that information?” I hear these excuses all of the time in discussions with liberals and/or lefties.
As for me I believe the photo of Senator McConnell and his wife Elaine is real. Of course he didn’t write his statement, he has people for that and he approved it for release.
The comments section attract strange bedfellows on weekends here at CTH.
Timing is everything. And I do NOT believe in coincidences.
But thanks for your concern….
As we used to say in New York, we have a bridge we’d like to sell you.
Hey Allan, to me you fit right in with strange bedfellows here on weekends. If you believe that picture is real I’ve got a boat from Elaine Chao’s family’s Chinese shipping company to sell you.
Its really true. McConnell is married to his darling Elaine who is from one of the wealthiest families in China. And may the Lord have mercy on us, I believe she served as the Secretary of Transportation. Maybe under Obama.
If that raises too many questions for you “don’t stop believing,” and stay in bed under the covers.
Under Trump 1.0.
…..
I’m not a fan of conspiracy theories but a lot of this stuff happens so those who want to run can get a leg up over anyone else. Signatures to run for office before others, getting campaign donations.
This stuff happens a lot in the political world.
For instance, congressman Neil from Massachusetts had the twenty five thousand signatures the day after Eddie Boland died.
Except Eddie boland according to a few people I’ve met that was a nurse and the attending doctor told me he was brain dead about a month before they announced it.
Richard Neil was groomed by Eddie boland to be his replacement.
Nobody got to put there hat in the ring to run for his office.
These people do this crap.
Ok Mr. Deepstate. We’ve been lied to for so long about this man, there’s a reason we believe absolutely nothing about this windbag grifter and his chicom wife. BTW How’s the weather in Bejing??
With Graham’s death and McConnell not voting, everything gets harder until January. But, if McConnell was replaced by a special election to finish his term and Graham was really on board with the Save Act, you find real motivation to lie about McConnell’s wellbeing. As Sundance always reminds us, there’s trillions at stake.
PURE BS
What? Enlighten us
Beshear can choose whoever he wants if his seat is vacant before 14 July. I heard something to that effect.
Nope, The Kentucky legislature selects the replacement not the governor.
Nobody can blow up that news paper to discern a date?
The way it’s being held prevents anyone from getting any meaningful information from it other than the baseball player in the photo.
Actually the date is right above that guys helmet.
July 12, 2026. Today.
no idea it it shows
Woulda been something if the headline stated that Senator Mitch McConnell had passed away….
Thank you….older eyes on me!
Ai said it was today’s sports section from the WaPo. You CAN enlarge it enough to see the date at the top on OTHER pictures of that front page section that other people have posted on X. It’s today’s date.
But because it’s a low resolution file (you don’t upload large files as they take too long to load on a we.mb page) it naturally begins to pixelate (get jagged and fall apart) once you enlarge it to a certain point. The TV crime shows lead people to believe they can magically enlarge any digital file and make it crystal clear. You can NOT. Only limited Ai resolution enhancement is possible.
So, no, without a higher resolution photo (the original out of the camera) you’re not going to be able to enlarge that tiny photo and have it remain sharp, crispy, and legible.
And yet spy satellites can take a photo of your car, in your driveway with a legible license plate…all from outer space.
Yes, it all has to do with the file type, size and resolution.
The military does not care about file sizes for applications like you mention. Professional photographers use options like RAW file sizes that would run 50 MB, while a consumer jpeg file of the same picture could typically be 2-5 MB.
Yes, that’s incredibly expensive high tech state of the art imaging equipment. Apples and oranges.
Most people don’t carry around a $10 million dollar camera in their pocket. I know you’re smarter than that, right?
A smartphone, assuming that’s what was used, has a sensor about the size of a pencil eraser or maybe 1/4 of a postage stamp. Tiny. Not some huge sensor developed by out spy agencies where money is no object. And not with some incredibly sharp, super telephone optic in front of it. A sensor and lens that cost a hundred bucks maybe.
So if I painted a microscopic picture on something the size of a cornflake and then stretched it to 4×6 inches, do you think it would magically still be sharp? If you had a 100 piece puzzle that normally makes an 8×10 inch image and you decided to spread those pieces further apart so that they make an image 8×10 feet in size, do you think it would still looks the same? That’s what happens when you enlarge a digital image with a limited amount of pixels (small file size) to make a larger photo.
No comparison at all to a spy satellite’s technology and all the computational manipulation they can do.
Agreed!!
This is a perfect example of why most normal people don’t believe much of what the media says even when it turns out to be true. The media is like the story of the boy who cried wolf.
Just like Ruth Ginsburg and politicians in memory facilities or absent for months at a time quietly they will keep certain politicians on life support just to pass legislation and votes kinda like mouth open wide and out of it Jimmy Carter who voted for Harris.
The governor should declare him dead or incapacitated and initiate the process for someone to take his place.
It is time for people in positions to do something about this farce to put up or shut up.
I wonder what the date is on the newspaper he’s holding for a prop?
allegedly, today.
Sooo… when was that letter written?!
Other than the final
paragraph it is written in past tense and could have been written after McConnell was discharged from the writer’s care. The last sentence seems to indicate Mitch was removed from the writer’s care and transferred to rehabilitation therapy.
Is th e writing physician in charge of Mitch now? How long since he has had contact with Mitch since stating he was fully cleared him for
(what sounds like) release from acute care into rehab?
“The remainder of his hospital stay focused …[ie: no longer staying there]….on physical therapy and strategies to reduce his risk of future falls. He has been medically cleared to continue fully participating in his intensive physical therapy program.”
It is in no way clear from this wording that the writer is his current physician.
My thinking is that the letter was written by different people. As you compare the paragraphs they are not from the same source. It might even be a AI concoction.
No, I’m talking about the statement Sundance posted above
“From the Office of the Attending Physician:”
It is in past tense and seems to be a statement made on some unknown date which only establishes:
“The remainder of his hospital stay focused on physical therapy and strategies to reduce his risk of future falls. He has been medically cleared to continue fully participating in his intensive physical therapy program.”
It seems like very a
carefully worded CYA.
The remainder of his stay implies to me his stay with that MD is completed .
The “”intensive physical therapy” gives the implication he’s doing jumping jacks, but Just as likely it means he needs help swallowing and being transferred to a wheelchair.
No name Dr.
Right. It’s very carefully worded to give no CURRENT information about his mental or physical state.
It took me a while to figure out, but the newspaper is the Washington Post and it shows a photo of Aggies’ Chris Hacopian, who was drafted yesterday by the Washington Nationals. Seems to be a legit current photo.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2026/07/11/nationals-select-second-baseman-chris-hacopian-mlb-draft-first-round/
Now this image I’d believe…

I’m not sure. From my experience when they stack pillows so you can sit upright any movement at all messes them up. They require constant adjustment.
THOSE AREN’T PILLOWS !!!
Starts out with a Big Lie:
“When you elected me…”
Woulda been more believable if AI Mitch started with, “Back when I was alive…”
The first step is to identify that newspaper. He is not in a hospital gown. He does not even appear to be in a hospital room.
Not a question as to whether the photo is completely staged.
Could be a rehab facility
Yes. That’s what it looks like to me. What hospital was he taken to?
“Mitch McConnell and his wife released a proof of life photo. 🤭🤣
(See how easy that is?)”
https://x.com/The_FJC/status/2076431946482389041?s=20
Because of AI, we can no longer assume anything not experienced first-hand is real. Let reporters into his room to talk to Mitch McConnell and ask questions.
AI fools ya for sure.
He may not be up to it. Probably still on pain meds.
Why is his nurse included in the photo? So weird.
🤣 😂
Right, he is sitting in a hospital bed with wrinkly pillow cases and he is not wearing a hospital gown but a plaid shirt and it looks like jeans, his wifey is sitting next to him, letting you know she is right with him there, giving him comfort and not leaving his side – oh, looky he is reading the newspaper – oh right, the sports page, that gives a nice touch – anyhow, his brain must be all right if he is perusing the sports page and following his favorite teams –
hmm – hey, what about that newspaper –
I did that Google image search and it did not identify it as any particular issue of a paper:
AI Overview
This image shows a collection of collectible newspapers for sale on eBay, ranging in date from 2003 to 2026.
The items feature sports championship headlines, such as the New York Post celebrating the Knicks winning the NBA Finals in June 2026.Other collectibles include a Sun Sentinel newspaper from the Florida Marlins 2003 World Series win.Prices for these newspapers generally range from $15.00 to $36.00, depending on the championship, condition, and rarity.
The newspaper is being held for the viewer to see it and not for Mitch to be reading it.
Exactly. This is pathetic.
Actually, it looks like a chair, not a bed.
Hospital beds are now higher all the way around (to keep the patient from falling out) and there are wires attached for the TV remote and the nurse’s station call.
This chair looks like it has arms, but it can still recline electrically. Sometimes, you put a sheet on the chair because the chair is slippery and you don’t want the person to fall.
He looks like he has graduated from the hospital bed to the physical therapy center. That’s why he is wearing his own clothes. Went through all this when my dad fell a few years ago.
The chair is the latest and greatest in recliner chairs for patients…difficult to move and very heavy. Worse when a patient is in it.
Can we be assured that this is a recent photo? I thought mama Mac was still in china?
She flew back.
On her broom.
The newspaper is there to supposedly prove it IS recent. That’s today’s edition (Sunday, July 12th) of the WaPo, Sports section front page.
I believe we could figure out a lot simply by knowing what time the ambulance arrived on the scene and then what time the ambulance left the scene.
When you have a living person you follow one procedure.
When you have a body there are entirely different procedures that need to be followed and this I know: they are very time consuming.
So this time frame will tell us a lot as to whether he was dead or alive when he left his home.
if there were any reporters out there we would know that.
I guess I would like Trump to visit Mitch in person and have a 20 min chat, like the other Rino’s are doing.
Don’t worry Admins. I took a screen shot just incase you squash my post. Why are we so afraid of speaking the truth about these so called Republican heathens who openly vote against everything MAGA? How much evidence do we need to show his wife is a CHYNA asset? How much more pretending do we need to do?
Isn’t that why Sundance has suspicious cat lurking in the weeds? WE KNOW.
All Senate business for Senator McConnell may be passed through his wife, Edith Wilson Chao, and the CCP.
👍 Well played! 👍

why r peeps getting their knickers in a wad on this…. democrat gov beshear wants to replace mitch w/a dem senator even b4 midterms… he needs to keep his backside in that senate seat until midterms
God bless our Republic
It’s not a governor appointment rather a special election
The question I have is why/who is keeping Mich alive and for what reason he is more useful alive?
I would all it THE question.
Evidently the newspaper he is holding is from the day after Graham died yet he didn’t mention Grahams death?
It’s quite possible that they have not told him. His condition may warrant that.
I did not think of that…from my angle, thanks.
If a co-worker, friend or colleague suddenly passed away, I would NOT be smiling 20 hours after I found out.
If this was actually a ‘hospital’ photo, Mitch McConnel would not be wearing a red/white checkered shirt & blue jeans.
It really is that simple.
It may be a physical therapy rehab place. You can wear your own clothes as you practice walking and moving around. It happened with my dad. Some hospls have a physical therapy center or section. i Fairfax hospital, for example, has a full physical therapy place across the street from the hospital. Other hospitals don’t and you have to change locations.
If he really cared about Kentucky, he’d resign and let a more fit person carry on the responsibility. But it’s not about Kentucky, it’s about Mitch’s belief that he is more important or that he is owed. Either way he goes out weak.
Well no one said he cared about Kentucky!
I would have written “owned” not owed. Just saying.
Have been any ischemic events?
He is in too poor of health to reliably represent his.. New meaning to self importance.. These political buttheads act like they are honorable volunteer’s
Just a few things from my experience with my elderly dad several years ago:
Even a mild fall can put an older person in the hospital for a few weeks.A really bad fall can take a lot longer.Usually, the person who fell starts in ER, then critical care, then regular hospital, and then some sort of physical therapy place. The physical therapy place may be in a different facility in a different location or in the same hospital if they have a physical therapy center. In a physical therapy center the patient wears his own clothes and shoes. They can sit in a chair without tubes and wires attached.Medicare pays for 100 days of rehab when an injury is really bad.Sometimes there will be bruising from a fall but you can’t always see it. My dad fell on his side and head, so he had some rotten bruising on his face for months. The other bruising was under sleeves and pant legs, so you couldn’t see it.If you’re a celebrity Senator, you’re going to get a lot better treatment than my dad..
.
So, I think the official story might be OK. McConnell is about the same age as my dad when he fell. He’s staying a little longer in rehab (which is where it looks like he is).
But no matter what, I am suspicious of that shit-eating grin on Commie Mommie.
The 9-1-1 report and tape was not “a fall.” It was cardiac arrest and CPR.
Someone is hiding something big.
Do you have a link to the report? I haven’t seen that.
I have dealt with bad falls, however. My dad fell a couple of times. I know the routine. Fortunately, he remained conscious, but if McConnell was out cold on the floor, the EMTs might have suspected a number of things.
And, if McConnell picked up pneumonia as he says, then that makes sense too. The big fear the medical staff had in the hospital was that my dad would get pneumonia from being in the hospital bed on his back and not moving.
There are links out there, I have read several (TGP should have a few in their archives)…buried deep now as its been 4 weeks.
Mitch McConnell: The audio detailing a “cardiac arrest” and “CPR in progress” at his residence on June 14 was first obtained and published by journalist Desirée Townsend on June 30, 2026.
Major news outlets, including WLKY and CNN, subsequently verified and broadcast the recording on July 2, 2026.
Thanks!
CPR is so brutal, healthcare people told me it alone can kill an old person. And they say 9 times out of 10 it breaks their ribs. No mention of broken ribs in that physician’s statement
I was very lucky to have taken my First Aid and CPR/Heimlich maneuver classes at the Red Cross HQ (in Pasadena) every Saturday for a month, two classes each on each Saturday (you could pay for and take as many classes as you felt you needed, even if repeats). I had volunteered to be the “emergency coordinator” for my department and then found out they expected me to know First Aid and all that jazz. I was actually worried then that I might be called upon to do the Heimlich on someone in the cafeteria and not know how and freeze up and the person, whoever it would be, would then die and it would be my fault.
As it turned out, in dear God’s mysterious and wonderful way, a few weeks later I was at a family party for my step-dad’s 65th birthday where Mom had all this great food, including a roast pig done Argentinian-style . . . most everyone was outside but it was pretty hot and sunny so I got plates for my Grandmother and I so we could eat inside, in the coolness.
I brought our plates and Grandmother took a bite while I went to get us each a glass of milk. As I came back into the dining room, Grandmother was making a dash to the powder room, bolting you might say – now normally I would make the assumption she was just heading to the powder room and would respect her privacy but I felt a literal tap on my right shoulder, “follow her” and so set down the glasses of milk and went to follow her (of course, that was one of the signs to look for, if someone bolted to the powder room, they could be either choking or having a heart attack).
There she was, standing over the potty, desperately trying to expel something and looked like she would faint any moment.
I stepped up right behind her with the most perfect placement of my hands, our dear Guardian Angels for both of us helping me to do that, just so . . . and of course, all that practice . . . and in the very first effort, a huge chunk of Argentinian-style roasted pig flew up in the air and then plopped straight down into the potty – made a real splash.
I gently hugged Grandmother and we were both stunned and walked back out to the dining room and sat down.
She told me after a little bit that she wanted to taste that good pork so much and did not mean to actually swallow such a big piece but it got tangled up with her dentures and then the next thing she knew it started going down and got stuck. We never did eat any lunch, after all . . . just drank that milk. Grandmother was 79 years old when that happened and went on to almost making it to 100 (by three weeks), with her beautiful mind bright and clear . . . so precious!
That was August 28, 1982 and I had not had anything to drink that day as I was endeavoring to stay on a diet and not drinking seemed to help me to do that and I had been thinking about whether I should quit drinking altogether. I was 30 years old which seems like I could have gone on and enjoyed myself but I was thinking a lot about my Dad who had passed away from cirrhosis of the liver when he was 44 years old and if he had quit when he was 30 he certainly seemed like he could have continued on to a ripe old age. That evening, later, after Grandmother had gone to bed, I sat with my Mom and big brother who had made drinks for us but I never touched that drink after all because I privately decided to see if I could decide to just not have a drink at all that day and hopefully the next, but just not talk about it.
It just somehow seemed to me that dear God had orchestrated the entire miracle of that day and I felt my Dad and my little brother and my Grandfather (the husband of the Grandmother I helped, who coincidentally had been one of the early AA’s in Pasadena), in heaven, had cooked up this entire ploy that I had to learn these things for my emergency coordinator gig at work and then this profound miracle happened. When would the planets ever be aligned again in that formation?
God bless You , Suejeanne 😇
CPR is not done if the person is alive. CPR is for people who are dead and it brings them back. otherwise, it is just rescue breathing. that is why you cant “kill” someone when you are doing CPR — because they are already dead.
This is true. Most hospitals are jam packed and over capacity so they will discharge a patient to a rehab to free up a bed.
Assuming the rehab center “accepts” the patient, assuming they have beds…
For every day and elderly person is on bedrest, they require several days of rehab, to regain strength.
Strength is lost, rapidly, when we age….kind of a ‘use it or lose it’ type deal.
Thank you for your explanation. It does make sense. My Dad would easily bruise at age 87… and it takes much longer to recuperate. Even an IV can leave a nasty bruise.
I’m calling BS. Sorry, but nobody had a 20 minute conversation with him. He did not compose that post. Where the heck is the rest of the Senate? Where are the D’s? You’d think they’d be demanding proof of life and trying to leverage this for midterm advantage. They’re all part of the same conspiracy.
Scott Jennings – is he another one whose credibility will have bitten the dust? Why would he be a party to this? He seems such an earnest and straightforward fellow – I see on Wikipedia that he is/was an advisor to Mitch McConnell. But they didn’t SHOW them together having a visit at this “rehab center” with the doctors and Elaine.
Okay, now considering that Scott Jennings has an ongoing gig on CNN, maybe they will next be bringing in Dr. Sanjay Gupta to do an entire segment on elderly people falling down and getting rehab and going through the process of getting back to normal. Maybe he will have a little story or two about other people as they follow them through rehab.
The whole nine yards.
Fake Fake Fake Fake….
Congressional absenteeism should always be explained.
Suspicious cat is getting so much work, he is having to lay down.
I am hoping someone FOIA’d the 911 call. That might help clarify things.
If he’s still alive, he needs to just retire. This is becoming more and more of a nursing home circus.
Is it AI or memorex
FAKE … and so is Mitch “proof-of-life” scam and any pronouncements of “I’M STILL HERE” !!!
And Elaine … ?? She’s just what she’s always been, I suspect … just another ChiCom plant … OH !! ‘SCUSE ME … I mean Taiwanese Lady …
Make that “Dragon Lady” …
