President Trump appears very serious about facing down both the Senate and the House on their intransigence to pass the Save America Act to secure national elections. President Trump is now on a direct collision course with Senate Majority Leader John Thune.

Since resolutions don’t have the force of law, I don’t think President Trump has to sign it.
It was passed “concurrent” which does not require the President’s signature nor does it carry the force of law. It’s meaningless and in this case strictly political.
It will weaken the negotiations with Iran as they will take the stance he doesn’t have the authority to attack them again which is not what the concurrent resolution does but it does convey that message to our enemies.

With the “republicans” aided by so called conservative media outlets (Brietbart, Newsmax and Just the News) and pundits openly trying to repeat the 2018 Midterm Election Outcome or worse … President Trump has no option but to hold up election impacting legislation.
One may ask … what is the downside for “republicans” opposing the President if the “republicans” loose seats during the midterms, as that is the plan.

I don’t know if the housing act is a good thing or will just make things worse. But I haven’t heard a single member of Congress tell the truth about what is really driving the affordability problem. It is the 40 million or more illegals in the country, half of them added during the Biden years. They have to have somewhere to live and their added demand is pushing up prices, mostly for used homes and rental prices, which in turn affects supply for most citizens and legal immigrants across all types of housing. Get the illegals out of the country and home prices and rents will come down everywhere.
