Even as House Speaker Mike Johnson and House Republican leadership assembled for a news conference touting the recently passed Housing bill, President Trump cancelled the signing ceremony.
President Trump appears very serious about facing down both the Senate and the House on their intransigence to pass the Save America Act to secure national elections. President Trump is now on a direct collision course with Senate Majority Leader John Thune.
Trump was scheduled to sign the 21st Century ROAD to Housing bill on Wednesday afternoon, which passed both chambers with wide bipartisan support. (Politico)
This is the second legislative priority being blocked by President Trump due to Legislative friction. The FISA (702) reauthorization in the Senate is also stalled as Senator’s demand Trump withdraw Acting DNI Bill Pulte.
I don’t think Congress cares. They are quite happy doing nothing, we have hundreds of years of evidence of this. Not sure what’s going to get accomplished here.

The only hope Republicans have for the mid-terms is to motivate enough of the MAGA voter base to come out in November to overcome the Democrat’s systemic mid-term advantages — their own energized voter base backed up by massive election fraud where and when it is needed.
The only way that happens in the face of the GOP Establishment’s backstabbing is for PDJT to demonstrate to the MAGA voter base that he is willing to risk everything to get the SAVE Act passed.
Time and time again we read about these Uniparty Vultures requiring ID to enter one of their politcal dog and pony fundraisers, but if we want people to prove they are real citizens and not imported fraudulant ballots, well then screw the voting public.

If the President does not sign a bill or veto it within 10 days while Congress is in session, the bill automatically becomes law.
However, if Congress is adjourned during that period, the bill does not become law, resulting in a “pocket veto.”

I read elsewhere that one part of this bill to make housing affordable is to make it cheaper. For mobile homes that bill has a provision to allow the manufacturer to eliminate the steel frame the homes are built on.
These homes are not the best built things out there so eliminating that just shortens the lifespan of a mobile home.
Government should stay out of it.
It would be smarter to make the steel cheaper by cutting unnecessary regulations instead of removing it as a requirement.
Steel manufacturing is valuable in so many ways between supporting other industries and creating more employment opportunities. Ditto industrial capacity to win wars of attrition.
And makes them even more susceptible to hurricane damage.
It will hike the cost of insurance to insure a less stable but more affordable mobile home.

The Postmaster General just announced that the U.S. Post Office will NOT deliver mail-in ballots for any state that has refused to follow President Trump’s executive order to provide the federal government with their absentee voter list!
That applies to the 2026 mid-term election and will have serious consequences in deep-blue states like my home state of Maryland where rampant ballot fraud is the order of the day!

So if Congress did in fact pass this law, the next elections, by their numbers would expose what actually happened in 2020 and likely every single election over the course of the last 20-50 years. perhaps longer. It would create not just a massive public outcry, but it would actually cost these so called law makers their consitutuents and donors support. They would get ejected. No one would support them. And because they are doubling down on refusing to allow this authentication to happen in election, it is 100 percent obvious that is what they fear the most. That it is highly likely, both left and right they won by packing fake ballots. We kind of get lost in the weeds sometimes over covid…and yes, the mail in did in fact enable more fake ballots. But it is my opinion that well prior to covid, fake ballots was likely how many elections were defrauded.
imagine if this voting bill became law and only citizens proving citizenship could vote, did vote. What would the overall numbers tell us by comparison? it would inform us that it’s not a low turn out that causes the numbers to plummet. No, it would implicate that prior elections were defrauded in massive numbers. The difference would impugn every single election in every state, district and parish.
