If you were with CTH when I did the deep dive into the Miami-Dade School Police Department and Miami-Dade School Superintendent Alberto Carvalho, all of it related to the Travyon Martin case. You will likely remember how corrupt and sketchy Carvalho was. {SEARCH TOOL}
Carvalho organized a system within Miami-Dade, where black male students could avoid criminal charges, including felony cases, and have their behavior instead handled with school discipline.
The approach was part of the Obama inspired “My Brother’s Keeper” concept. Miami-Dade School Police (MDSPD) were instructed not to arrest black male students and instead refer their conduct to school administration. Trayvon Martin was one of the beneficiaries {GO DEEP}.
Trayvon had burglarized a residence near the High School. He was serving a two-week suspension from school, sent to his father Tracy Martin in the Orlando area, and it was during that two-week suspension when George Zimmerman spotted Trayvon looking in the patio doors and windows of residences in his condominium complex. The rest is history.
School Superintendent Alberto Carvalho was/is a very well connected political figure among Democrats. He was even considered for a VP nomination. However, it was Carvalho’s program to use the school police to inflate statistical improvements in schools that eventually led to neighboring Broward County doing the same thing in 2013. That “Promise Program” duplication led to the Parkland High School shooting.
Carvalho went to New York City under Mayor Bill de Blasio, and then out to Los Angeles. In February of this year, reports surfaced of Carvalho being under an FBI investigation for misuse of office, financial crimes, wire fraud and embezzlement. Yesterday Carvalho announced his resignation.
Los Angeles – […] District officials confirmed that Carvalho sent a letter of resignation, effective immediately, to the school board. Carvalho, who had led the nation’s second largest school district since 2022, had been placed on leave by the board a few days following the raids. In the letter, Carvalho did not explicitly mention the investigation, but said that he was resigning because he believes schools “must remain focused on students and learning without distraction.”
[…] Federal officials have not publicly revealed the reason for searching Carvalho’s San Pedro home and office in LAUSD’s downtown headquarters in February, and a judge sealed court filings about the investigation.
The criminal probe appears to be connected to AllHere, a now-defunct tech startup that did business with LAUSD. FBI agents in Florida also searched a property in Southwest Ranches, a community in Broward County, which according to public records belongs to Debra Kerr, an education consultant who worked with AllHere and claimed the company owed her $630,000. Carvalho and Kerr have known each other for years through Kerr’s consulting work.
The resignation marks an unceremonious end to Carvalho’s tenure. The 61-year-old, who received a four-year contract extension last year, had been praised just months earlier by Gov. Gavin Newsom during the State of the State address for the district’s test score improvements. (read more)

Imagine the dirt Carvalho knows that can be used to go after gov’t officials.
A gold mine ripe for the taking if the DOJ is less corrupt enough to go after it.
LAUSD internal investigations are routinely concealed from the public.
Mrs. Sunshine referenced the DOJ (presumably, the USDOJ), not the LAUSD. If warranted by the outcome of the LAUSD’s investigation, the USDOJ could initiate one of its own; and any information gathered thereby does not need to be made public to be useful.
A Big IF
Really Ms Sunshine. You magically just appear on this thread in the last year and get all these likes. I am suspicious cat and remain suspicious Anyway, there a lot of others in govt that have all the dirt, but this is a protection racket, unless…
I have notice ms Sunshine actively posting on Daily Mail, the gateway pundit and many more including the consertive tree house. Once I read another contributor wondering about her too…..very strange
Mockingbird was never shut down, only morphed into something far more powerful.
Limited Hangouts apparently were just the tip of the iceberg.
Now Limited Hangouts serve multiple purposes, including distraction and psyop effects (chronic stress from anger and powerlessness to stop outrageous wrongdoing) as well as the base function of covering the more egregious wrongdoing.
“Imagine the dirt…” (Mrs. Sunshine)
Re “Really Ms Sunshine. You magically just appear on this thread in the last year and get all these likes. I am suspicious cat and remain suspicious”
Mrs. Sunshine’s comment seems perfectly legitimate. What part of it makes you so suspicious? Besides, if she was/is a troll, as you seem to be implying, I seriously doubt she would have been allowed by the admins to continue posting as long as she has been here.
Re “Anyway, there a lot of others in govt that have all the dirt”
So what? Carvalho is already under investigation and readily available to reveal whatever dirt he knows. “A lot of others” are not…
Re “but this is a protection racket, unless…”
Exactly what are you referring to by “this”? And What does your “unless….” indicate will keep it from being “a protection racket”?
At least Mrs. Sunshine’s comment was clear and unambiguous…
Go away
Unless you’re an admin here, you have zero authority to tell anyone to leave.
Very slowly-but surely-there are signs that perps will be held accountable for their crimes.
Moving Blondie out as AG was most certainly part of that process.
I wonder how filthy Blondie is?
Better question: why did Trump appoint her in the first place? We’ve lost a year and half of work that could have been done by an honest attorney general.
Chess move.. bring into the light.
If she had stayed I know I would have lost my maga motivation. She was a horrendous pick and Trump praised her to the rafters.
FILTHY LIBERALS
Think Fauci. President put him centre stage for a reason. He can’t fight EVERY battle. But he tries.
The AG has to get confirmed. You have to appease the ENEMY SENATE so you end up with a crooked AG, but at least Low IQ Bondo didn’t go after President Trump.
Crooked Coward Bill Barr was the worst pick after that compromised coward Sessions.
Re “If she had stayed I know I would have lost my maga motivation.”
My, my, what loyalty! Not! You would abandon MAGA and disregard all Trump has accomplished because of Bondi? Exactly where would your “motivation” end up assuming you did lose it for MAGA?
Re “She was a horrendous pick and Trump praised her to the rafters.”
If I remember correctly, Sundance has written both about her failures and the short-term job Trump picked her to do, which she did.
Susie Wiles.
Donald Trump’s first choice was Matt Gaetz. I think he chose Bondi because he could get her approved by the Senate. That’s been the reason for a few Cabinet choices.
Who recommended Susie Wiles?
I knew we were screwed when she was appointed and subsequently praised by Jeb Bush on Twitter.
why did Trump appoint her in the first place?
She’s blonde
Despite his positives, he does succumb to appearances
https://open.substack.com/pub/jackcashill/p/pam-bondis-original-sin-the-framing?r=4vzh4&utm_medium=ios
Like the poor bastard at the Atlanta Olympic Park bombing. Terrible.
Excellent read; thank you.
As filthy as it gets.
She’s been rolling in mud for quite some time, apparently. All the “rumors” (i.e. facts) of her behavior within the Trevon Martin “fiasco” are like so many other “conspiracy theories” – they’re true! Imagine that!
Sorry to say, because I DO love my President, but once again we see another “poor judge of character” pick by the Pres.
Dems have a massive pool of corrupt”public servants” that will be approved by both parties to do whatever they are told. Sadly, republicans, in this case Trump, have a limited pool, and the Dems and RINOs work together to keep them out. Be a little thankful for the great appts he made and got approved, okay
From the tippy top of her head to the soles of her feet?
Look how Bondie destroyed Zimmerman and the officers involved that initially cleared Zimmerman.
Some might say, she’s a dirty blonde…
PLENTY!!!
That’s what I was telling people from day one when Trump appointed her. The Trayvon incident was about the time I really started deep diving into breaking free from MSM. So many leftist parrots were posting about poor Trayvon.
Transparent California . Com
Look up his salary:
Alberto Carvalho
You’d think a half mil a year would be enough but they can’t help themselves.
The school superintendent in my little NY district makes more money than the MAYOR OF NY CITY.
If taxpayers complain about the salaries in our district, the board of ed tells us we have to be “competitive” to get the best people.
I happen to know this buffoon personally and he is not qualified to run a lemonade stand let alone a district with a $68 million dollar budget.
But then again, it’s all For the Children™.
Seneca: It’s been a while (that I have noticed). Good to hear from you friend.
Hey Bucknut Guy! Good to see you and my other Treeper friends. I have been super busy in recent times (thankfully) trying to earn enough money to pay our NY taxes.
Since I work from home I have to be disciplined or else I’d be on social media and blogs all day making comments.
Hope you are well.
Greetings Seneca the Elder!!!
I have been wondering about you also, and am happy that you can still visit!
“…trying to earn enough money to pay our NY taxes.”
I understand! Let me invite you again to hop across Pennsylvania and live in Ohio: not tax-free, but lower than in New York! 😉
Best Wishes!
Seneca, I got stuck moving back up to Massachusetts again.
I just got a tax bill from the state already.
I hate north east.
Good to see you Seneca!!
Discipline is a sacred trust to one’s self, Sir. Everything good follows what you have decided is right.
Dr. Larry Arnn, the President of Hillsdale College, once took a bit of heat for saying that education majors in our universities were the dumbest students in the dumbest colleges within those universities.
The howling that ensued from the usual suspects confirmed that he was right (I say that as a former public school teacher.)
it is. with some exception, in general teachers are bottom of the barrel. mostly people looking for security, benefits and 3 months off every year. this was expressed to me by some classmates that went into teaching and their explanations for doing so.
And then they constantly whine about how they’re not paid enough when they’re easily earning more while doing less than the average working man.
dumbest students in the dumbest colleges “+with the highest grades ” within those universities.
Even long ago when I attended, the Ed department had to have their own STEM classes for Ed majors, because they couldn’t compete in regular STEM classes.
Many have side gigs being tutors?
Good teachers earn their pay. It’s easy to forget that the good ones bring their work home with them–correcting homework, doing lesson plans, etc. As for summers, teachers often further their education by taking classes or by other means. I’m not asking for sympathy for them. But teaching, if you do it properly, is not a walk in the park, and the students aren’t all eager scholars.
You’re 100% correct. I almost died trying to teach… it’s very difficult if you do it properly.
Thank you, JoAnn.
Patriot, I couldn’t agree with you more. I worked my tail off as a teacher. It was a rewarding job, but exhausting.
Amen and Amen!
I agree. Students now a days are not easy to work with in many cases, especially at inner city schools. Teachers can’t teach because of a lack of discipline being enforced by the administrators. I see it where I work and a dear friend teaches at an inner city school and she has some real horror stories over how the kids are being educated. Basically half of them are getting nothing good out of their school time if they even attend on a regular basis. Many don’t.
A good teacher is certainly worth a good salary and there should be merit based bonuses for succeeding with the children and getting them educated properly. No question about that. Unfortunately, many good teachers are handcuffed by state and local education policies and are more glorified babysitters than teachers. Then there are those who just are teaching because they are biding their time and collecting their paychecks and qualifying for state pensions down the road. It’s a mixed bag on that career being a positive for our kids but it’s not all the teachers’ fault.
I blame the administrators and the state ed dept for the majority of failures in the NYS education system.
I am reminded of the old movie….Stand And Deliver…
The districts have also figured out via property tax bond measures how to bamboozle perpetual $ without true audit and that doesn’t follow the student or the infrastructure. Seems The bureaucracy is bigger than the prime focus. the results are shameful. There are so many entities in local gov.
Not true!
And setting no boundaries for the schoolkids, OR enforcing those boundaries.
Stupid statement. Walk 32 years in my shoes and we will talk. The absolute ignorance of the school system is astounding.
You people have zero clue………..
I know a young lady who started toward a degree in forensics, etc. for law enforcement. She now teaches first grade in a grade school and I saw her a few days ago enjoying her summer off.
When I taught, the 1st week of summer vacation was for mental and physical recovery. Then I immediately began planning for the next year’s classes, going to enrichment conferences, and buying things to augment the bare bones curriculum. People have no clue what great teachers do and sacrifice for their students.
After teaching middle school History during the year, I actually enjoyed teaching SS and meeting students from other schools. After that, I worked for the District as a Curriculum Writer. Those were good years; exhausting but rewarding.
It’s a great job for women who want to raise a family though.
Yes, there are exceptions to that and many smart, passionate individuals that choose teaching as a profession are quickly discouraged by having to put up with incompetent, arrogant administrators; disobedient, disrespectful students; belligerent, immature parents and low pay. As a result, many throw in the towel after a few years and go into more rewarding and better paying careers. My wife was an educator for 32 years. She loved her job and was damn good at what she did, even though she experienced everything mentioned above regarding administration, students and parents. In her 32 years, I don’t ever recall her having 3 months off. Two months maybe. Not sure where that comes from. And when you consider the extra time spent in the evenings, weekends and summer break for mandatory continuing education bullcrap, then it becomes even less attractive. Yes, there are bad teachers, bad administrators, bad coaches but there are bad people in every profession. Let’s focus on the good ones!
Congrats to your wife!
It is a profession that will certainly toughen up even the most idealistic person.
Back in the day, there were a lot of draft dodgers that became teachers to get out of going to ‘nam!
‘…..those who can, do….those that can’t, teach’…..
If you are not in a leadership position, you are a follower. If you have issues being a follower, you become a teacher. Last rung on that scale is loser, bottom rung. No place else to go.
Exhibit A, Dr. Jill Biden, with her online PhD in Education.
In her case, PhD stands for Piled High and Deep.
That’s just malarkey…
🤗
I agree… also as a former public school teacher, retired.
Hey, it’s good to see you Seneca. I mentioned you the other day on the OT – glad to see you and hope you’re doing well.
Agree with your trademark. Our kids are a commodity to be horse-traded.
Mine too! In my deep blue state. The school board gives huge raises the last 3 years, so the pension is based off this inflated salary. Several in a row have retired in their 50s, start drawing the pension immediately, and then “work” as consultants in neighboring districts, accumulating additional pensions at their new jobs. $400k/yr pensions…
They also always insist on going by “Dr”, just like “Dr” Jill Biden.
The DemonRats who control our NY state legislature just passed a budget that included a bill to lower the retirement age and increase the amount of money and other benefits they get when they do retire. They are always claiming to be such a bargain, such great teachers, etc. etc.
Meanwhile- in our affluent school district 30-40% are not proficient in math and reading. Of course they are trying to get rid of tests and exams. They have dumbed down everything.
We taxpayers in the private sector can only dream of salaries, benefits and pensions like our “public servants” have.
“The DemonRats who control our NY state legislature just passed a budget”
There is a LOT of off topic dung in that budget, especially more anti-2A items (no surprise there).
And especially in “education”, the hours, the summer vacations, the tenure track.
Indeed. There are many days I feel nothing but a tax slave to the State.
The Israelites paid 20% to Pharaoh and were deemed slaves. Praying for a Moses to lead us to a Promised Land.
That’s exactly what we are-not taxpayers but Tax Slaves.
Not only that, but how much of OUR hard earned money is outright stolen or misappropriated by thieves and grifters like those Somalis with the “Learing Center?
I think it was Elon who said that the entire national debt could be wiped out if they just stopped the stealing and fraud.
Seneca Here in TN it is 60 to 70% are NOT proficient. Hopefully, we can actually reach your level. Most likely we will fudge the numbers to reach NY results.
Pelosi says this every other sentence. Kitchen Table and the children. They aRE TELLING US WHAT THEY ARE DOING.
Many steps need to be taken to improve public education. Probably the most important would be to get rid of all teacher unions. Next, end all bilingual education programs and don’t allow illegal aliens to attend public schools. Next, get rid of all Lgbtqzyz+ PRIDE crap out of schools and focus on academic subjects only. Next, ban all cell phones from school and limit AI and laptops. Doing all of these things and more, would vastly improve public schools.
All of the above. Start with electing competent school board members and hiring competent, qualified administrators and superintendents.
Same over here in WNY, Seneca. The salaries of the superintendents are unbelievably high and the student graduation rates in many districts are incredibly low. Of course there’s plenty of social justice education and DEI crap in hiring teachers etc because it’s NYS. Taxpayers here just keep passing the school budgets without asking many questions because you know, we have to support the children and their education.
Gag. I vote no every time the school budget comes up even though I work in one of those school systems with overpaid administrators and teachers. The ROI for taxpayers is very poor. My district ADDED two more administrators recently at very healthy salaries and no one can really say what their jobs are. Imagine that.
By the way, good to see you post again. It’s been a minute!
I bet those two new, overpaid administrators don’t know what their jobs are, either!
Yes, it’s ALWAYS the children but all we ever get is more administrators.
Seems like a lot, but they have to make donations to show their gratitude. Self-licking ice cream cone.
I know a California superintendent of schools who was in the middle of a $400K/yr contract who inexplicably resigned curiously right after his assist. superintendent got caught with child porn.
He’s now milking the taxpayers for millions running an education consulting practice where the employees are mostly his grown children.
Gotta keep it in the family, ya know.
Those damn FICA taxes on salary are so stifling. NEED MORE!!
The best, the brightest? Never, it’s the dirtiest.
This guy sounds like a real live true-Blue Democrat. His specialty seems to be screwing up and fleecing school systems. If he manages to evade accountability from this investigation, what Blue city or state will be the next to hire or elect him to help screw up and fleece their school system?
Carvalho’s base salary was $440,000.
That doesn’t include what he was receiving under the table and off the books.
And I’m sure some jobs or business to the family as well. Anybody know what his wife or kids do?
Almost as much as Fauci was getting.
poncedefreon,
Actually, $440k is pretty cheap! Twenty years ago, my border-town district in Texas paid much, much more.
There must be other bonuses and other deferred monies that are not being mentioned.
So many interesting stories about truly creepy people!! Where does it all end?
Public hangings.
Lots and lots of them.
It ends at the Judgement Seat where we will all be held accountable by God.
I was laughing my ars off Gavin hired Carvalho. They are 2 peas in a pod(I’m from Miami and live in LA).
If he shenans once, he will shenanigan.
Between this guy and that illegal invader in Iowa, who hires these criminals?
NVM: other criminals, I guess.
Re: Superintendent of Schools in City,
2023: Hired at $ 300,000 / year plus vehicle and expenses
2025: someone noticed a citizen ship aberration
They tried to get it to blow over, blaming others.
Later on,
-an arrest
-the persons resume was embellished to say ‘Dr.’
-the persons social security number was inconsistent
-a school board member, hoping to ride the dei hire at the school and was running for State office, decided to pull out of the election
-conviction, and 2 years in jail
-then deportation
-hiring miss practices a City school are under (late) scrutiny….
The person has $omeone writing a book…

Who hires them? Communists that have infiltrated our country. The goal is to shut the Shining Light at the Top of the Hill. Without the US, dystopia can be the Norm.
The school board typically hires these clowns. A strong, competent school board can cure a lot of ills………. not all but many!
If you want to clean up the school systems, take a look at the headhunter firms many
of the worst hire. Here in Dekalb they do it over and over and over , and the vast majority
come from districts renowned either for corruption or standards so low that the state had
to take them over.
These hires are put in place to look the other way while everything that isn’t bolted down
is stolen behind our backs.
Pick some of the worst school systems, then see what headhunter firms they’ve employed.
I’d bet big money many similarities would pop up.
Ever since Jonny Jones, I’ve figured any superintendent of Miami schools was thoroughly corrupt.
Let’s not forget that Carvalho is an illegal from Portugal. “Arrived” in the USA during the ‘80s.
“They’re not sending their best.” Here’s yet another poster boy….
I figurex from the surname that he must be of Portugese (or Brazilian) extraction.
Education Inc. in America is, by its very nature, a leftist organization.
Any and all leftist organizations will always be lousy with corruption and incompetence.
I really wish a movie would be filmed about this, but we all know it would be labeled “revisionist history” by blacks.
Looks like the prequel to “Hamilton”.
LAUSD has a budget of nearly $19 billion, but a deficit of $900 million.
Again, another large California public agency with corrupt leadership and tons of money not accounted for.
Carvalho wasn’t a school district superintendent. He was another puppet working for the globalist cabal running California.
Crooks usually hire other crooks!
The founder was indicted in 2024.

I remember the Promise Program real well. I come from that area. It’s been a longtime coming. There is still some hope.
I remember your posts on that man and that program; am sorry that Pam Bondi is having to deal with a cancer diagnosis, but very glad she is no longer the Attorney General.
A lot sure has happened in the world since those early days of the Treehouse; which truly was then and still is a last refuge and am so glad to have found it in those days – kept a lot of us sane who instinctively knew the news was lying and finding a branch to sit in the tree has been the best seat ever since.
May God bless and protect Sundance.
We need more of this MULTIPLIED BY 100 before the midterms.
The Administration needs to prove how corrupt the Democrats are so voters are disgusted.
While this makes sense and I agree, public comments indicate the left just reflexively denies anything which reflects badly on Dems. No amount of proof changes their minds.
Anthony Karmelo, the Texas murderer who had nothing better to do than rummage through the bags in an opposing team’s tent, was himself on a similar two week suspension from school at the time, said to be due to carrying a knife to school.
He’d have been better off if he’d been arrested and was sitting in jail, he wouldn’t be sitting in prison for 35 years for MURDER.
More importantly another young man would still be alive!
An INFINITELY BETTER young man.
Shouldn’t the punishment be to make them go to classes and do the homework?
Not get 2 weeks vacation and get ‘behind’ so they never catch up?
Thug committed murder on April 2, while on suspension, and never returned to school. Yet his spineless school superintendent allowed him to graduate, and receive a diploma. If that was your kid, or mine, no way would he have been allowed to graduate on time after missing 2+ months of school. Never mind the excuse “I missed school cuz I MURDERED someone”.
Austin Metcalf didn’t graduate, or receive a diploma. Yet he spent more time in school than his killer.
As Adam Smith would say, mercy toward the guilty is cruelty toward the innocent. Always.
The Bible says it too
And the wheel keeps turning.
The Promise Program initiated by Osama and Lynch at the direction of the UN pays billions thru the DOJ to police departments to not charge and or jail youth offenders.
Many of these youth go on to commit serious crimes like Nicolas Cruise with over 49 interactions with LE.
I have seen the kids in Dade County Juvenile and you would not ever want to meet one anywhere anytime. That is what he was talking about being let back out on the streets.
That’s when I became a member of the CTH family. I found the Truth.
…” Carvalho organized a system within Miami-Dade, where black male students could avoid criminal charges, including felony cases, and have their behavior instead handled with school discipline.”….
I had forgotten about this nonsense.
Thanks for the reminder.
And the Karmello Killer was allowed to graduate? WTF? That’s the first time I’ve heard/seen that. Is that really true? If so, the Superintendent, plus the entire school board NEED TO GO! Got any references/citations basic88sciencE?
They always look like members of the mob.
Out of reflex , I heard the Godfather theme while looking at this dude’s picture.
i trust President Trump’s decisions & that includes Pam Bondi. he knows what he’s doing & i refuse to criticize or second guess the man that took a bullet for our country. MAGA!🇺🇸🦅
Also FL Atty Gen Blondi was very Eager to Prosecute George Zimmerman for Travon’s unfortunate Assault. Working with the Obamy DoJ
There sure area lot if Democrats resigning their official government positions now that investigations are actually being done. One has to wonder why these resiganations at this time? (sarc)
Trayvon, a blast from the past.
A gloating note to Pam Bondi: you can’t flim-flam the Zim-zam!
I wrote a few weeks ago an aphorism to summarize the problem here:
The establishment of a bureaucracy has never improved a school, a teacher, or a student in anyway!
Educational bureaucrats are leeches siphoning away tax dollars under the illusion that their myriad forms and reports and regulations have in some arcane way improved the schools.
Some are failed teachers or principals who migrated into the bureaucracy for better pay. Others have never taught one person anything, yet have degrees in Educational Logorrhea and think they know how classrooms should operate!
The proof of my aphorism is found in the failure of American public school systems to teach much of anything!
Q.E.D.
Carvalho is a Temu mobster, it sounds like. Using black children as their muscle. And the Democrats would gladly promote this guy for a senator.
Wow.
The public school system and corporate media are the keys to the acceptance of communism in the US, and it is working.
And that’s why my granddaughters are being homeschooled.
Read the school district acronym phonetically….

Well the implication here is, that after these raids, it looked like to the Trump admin that she was implicated they got her out and fast. She left in April the raids took place Feb he resigns now, it stinks.
DOJ > FBI recently arrested an illegal alien (in US illegally for 40 years btw) who was also a top-level school administrator who successfully eliminated accountability & consequences from public schooling policy in both Florida & California and implemented “restorative justice” – a socialist strategy for the furtherance of breakdown of US culture & worldview

Same guy, btw.
The childhood-schoolyard bullying problem has mushroomed, is growing because the “solutions” advocated are weak & ineffective… by design here too, not only in the ‘medical’ system…and entirely, completely, & totally aimed at the wrong target. There would be no bullying if children didn’t come to school deprived, depraved, and carrying anger … or filled with the rage of frustration of unmet Human needs… and have that compounded by detrimental socialist training program.
I vote we stop it at the start, AND remove the subsequent socialist programming of our citizens.
