On the heels of the G7 in France, U.S. President Trump and Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni have been engaged in a geopolitical spat.
The core of the issue centers on Italy’s refusal to allow the U.S. military to conduct flight operations for the conflict against Iran from U.S. airbases in Italy. President Trump, Vice-President Vance, Secretary of State Rubio and Secretary Hegseth have all remarked on their disappointment with Italy and Spain that has led to a full review of U.S. NATO operations in Europe.
The issue became personal at the G7 when President Trump ignored Meloni’s repeated attempts to repair the friction. President Trump was no longer tolerating the two-faced approach. Actions speak louder than words.

I came to the same conclusion yesterday after reading multiple accounts from different sources.
Meloni definitely has a two-faced problem because she rose to power using a populist approach that was also rather pro Trump.
Sundance nailed it, noting that Meloni reverted to the EU /globalist position when it came to the Iran conflict and US forces needing to use EU bases.
We have had more than enough two-faced, insincere political leaders around the western nations. I 100% agree with President Trump for recognizing this and calling outMeloni for what she is.

Given the post-war history of things “our” CIA has done in and to Italy, its elections, its elected political leaders (several assassinated)… I would be inclined to treat all Italian leadership as possibly susceptible to PTSD.
And given the power structure within the EU… I would be inclined to disbelieve that I’m ever hearing a European leader express their own true thoughts.
I heard that Trump has had 6 extended conversations with King Charles of England. I’ve heard some thoughtful, studious people opine that the king may be effectively a hostage to “non-national” powers.
