For mental health, I choose not to participate in all social media other than as a viewer in the interest of newsworthiness. Personally I believe being an active participant in social media is a net negative for public health and the advantages we get from it are paid for with many poorly informed voters, mental illness in the active participants, family breakups, and deaths by suicide or murder.
