Watching U.S. Ambassador to Canada Pete Hoekstra discussing current U.S-Canada trade dynamics is to be witnessing one man behind enemy lines trying to explain a situation the audience cannot fathom. It really is remarkable.
The longer he is assigned to this almost hopeless task, the more he develops an ‘I don’t give a damn‘ attitude, regardless of the audience size. It’s completely understandable.
The Canadian government controls the information available to the entire country. The Canadian media push that skewed information to the entire country. Then there’s Ambassador Hoekstra; the guy with completely different information, trying against all odds to present a viewpoint that is so fundamentally different the audience cannot grasp it.
In this video segment all of the dynamics come into play, but that’s not the real value in this capture. WATCH:
What I would recommend to all those who have followed this genuinely bizarre disassociation topic, is to go to YouTube and read the comments underneath this CTV video – GO HERE.
I love and respect our Canadian Treepers who are here with us in the CTH branches of discussion. I cannot fathom what it must be like to live in Canada amid this level of social, cognitive dissonance. You have my utmost respect and sympathy.
Within all of the Canadian free trade agreements (FTAs), regardless of nation, there is something called a baseline memorandum of understanding (MOU). That MOU outlines how the trade agreement for goods sold into Canada are contingent upon Canada retaining access to the U.S. market. When the USMCA is dissolved, almost every single FTA organized by the Canadian government that matters, collapses. Canadians have no concept of what is coming.

The problem with Canadians is they’re Canadians.
Practically all have the same sense of snobbery as do Europeans.
A hard rain’s gonna fall.
Do not make the mistake of classifying a whole people by those scurvy dogs at the bottom. There are still many Canadians who would stand next to you in the fight we are in; in fact they reside in every western nation, but just like us they suffer from the exact same corrupt oligarchy.
Canadians follow their Government’s behavior like lemmings because for more than 150 years their Government has made a living by reminding them that the USA cannot be trusted beyond giving them jobs and paying for the stuff they help produce. They think we are nothing more than carpet baggers and they think they deserve more of our largesse. For them, we owe it to them to give them favorable treatment.
I once lived and worked for an American seismic exploration company that had an office and several crews working in the Canadian oil provinces. All of our employees were required to be Canadian citizens unless they could not be replaced by qualified Canadians. When I moved there our company had to spend thousands of dollars attempting to replace me with a qualified Canadian worker. We couldn’t even get many Canadians to even apply for my job, but they all new that I was required to exhaust every effort to find my replacement. This went on for nearly a year before I was able to apply for Landed Immigrant status as a foreign worker who could actually have his job legally. Do you think they give a damn about putting any of the many people, who arrive in Canada without jobs, through that type of red tape before granting them safe haven in their Country?
While I was there, I made every effort to fit into their culture, I even learned to ice skate and I tried to play hockey with my employees. I still have a ticket I bought for the final game of the 1986 Stanley Cup and I still treasure it. But, for the most part Canadians never trusted me, and I could never trust them either. Whenever I tried to bid for contract work for my employer, I was usually given the opportunity to bid, but I was never given a contract by any Canadian Company, even though all of my bids were very competitive. After nearly two years, I decided to moved back to the USA. My career suffered because of that, but I thank God that I decide to do it.
There is more to this story, but I wanted to show how Americans have always been treated by the Canadian Government. The USMCA was negotiated by idiots to allow Canada to continue its tariff free grift of the US economy. Since they do not support us in any way, they should be cut off from the hind tit of our economy.
Their forebears went with the Crown, we opted for liberty. They haven’t learned much.
My experience with Canadians, though of much shorter duration, was completely opposite, even in Quebec, though I wasn’t attempting to work in their country. They were warm, welcoming, easy to engage in respectful conversation, quick to share a meal, and slow to anger.
Yes, they have their fair share of lemmings, but I would hazard the percentage of lemmings here in the US is quite close to the same level.
You have identified the real cause which is the Canadian government, which is the same here.
I feel for the real Canadians, the salt of the earth Canadians, who understand and represent the best of western civilization. I will always be inspired by the trucker led protest, whose participants demonstrated such great courage, resolve, and tenacity in the face of both the literal cold of a Canadian winter, as well as the figurative blizzard of Canadian traitors and despots.
Hopefully it is not to late for them, and us, and for all the oppressed freedom loving peoples of Europe to reclaim our birthright and heritage. In the name of God, please let it be so.
Canada is a weird place, 70/75% live right next to the United States. Second largest landmass in the world and most of them live close enough to the U.S. they can spit across the border. Now that right there should tell the Canadians they are nearly 100% dependent on the U.S. for their way of life. Not Britian not Europe and most definitely not China.
Those countries will not help you, they are all TALK. Heck, they depend on the United States for most everything.
Just read a few. Screw those commenters. The rest of the world has drained us for decades. I live in a state that borders Canada. Some great people but…Good luck.
All I can say is it is brutal up here – people are clueless and wallow in their ignorance – plus it’s pride month – the virtue signaling is off the charts.
Many of us up here in Alberta will not celebrate Canada Day on July 1. Instead we’ll meet up at The Whistle Stop Cafe (which gained national notoriety during the ‘pandemic’), in Mirror, for “Albertans Day”. Maybe see one or two of you there? Let’s GOOO!
