A few days ago, the ‘coalition of the willing’ (Starmer, Merz, Macron and Zelenskyy) met in London to hammer out the latest words on paper, a new military pledge to support Ukraine against Russia.
Both British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and King Charles III agreed to a renewed military effort that included British armed forces securing Ukraine territory according to their plan.
Three days later, British Defense Minister John Healey resigns, citing insufficient funding of military. Seriously folks, you cannot make this up. This comes on the heels of the U.K. borrowing ships from Germany in order to participate in NATO exercises led by the U.K.

Not only has the Defence Minister resigned, but now the Armed Forces Minister has too. The AFM is a former Marine colonel who was in the Special Boat Service (UK version of Navy SEALS). ATM Carns rips up Starmer in his resignation letter, too.
Healey is saying Starmer is tasking him with making all manner of important defense improvements while at the same time not giving him any of the resources necessary to make any of it happen and he is publicly making it clear he that will not be stuck with the blame that should attach to Starmer when none of those improvements happen.

That being said, I don’t find it surprising at all that the UK Government would be willing to defend Ukraine, whilst at the same time their own citizens (and citizens throughout the Commonwealth) are being brutalised by their policies, and the invading armies that they are shepherding into their countries.
