The House Judiciary Committee held a hearing today on the topic of the Southern Poverty Law Center, operating a program to fund, organize and stimulate racist activity, just so the SPLC could fight against racism and fundraise over it.
Amid the panel of voices presented to discuss the issue is the familiar Lawfare operative, Mary McCord. It makes sense for McCord to get invited by the HJC because McCord was lead staff for the HJC (Nadler/Schiff) during the impeachment effort. The relationship between Mary McCord and the HJC is lengthy.
McCord noted that law enforcement agencies routinely pay for operatives to infiltrate organizations in order to target them, so congress should not be too concerned with the SPLC funding white racists for the same purpose. What McCord carefully avoided, was noting how the SPLC is neither a law enforcement entity nor an investigative agency of the government.
I have not had time to watch the entire hearing, and I will provide more depth of review over the next few days once I have watched all of the discussion. In the interim, these hearings are usually ‘chaff and countermeasures.’

I know too much about abuse by male authority figures in asymmetrical situations. Jordan’s entire time at Ohio State as “Assistant Wrestling Coach” – 1986/1987 to 1994/1995 – overlapped with the evil Dr. Richard Strauss: 1978-1998.

What is unusual about SPLC is Mr. Fair’s strong belief they have the right to hire fringe groups to infiltrate other fringe groups, based on their self created check list of what’s considered a hate group, as if they are a law enforcement agency and basing that right on the 1st amendment. What prevents any other group from infiltrating the SPLC citing the first amendment as justification to do so to make sure they are not a hate group? I didn’t listen to the entire hearing as it’s predictable. The left doesn’t address the issue at hand and only uses it to criticize President Trump. The right asks all the right questions and the subject of the hearing lawyers up. It’s way too predictable at this point and the outcome if anything takes forever.
And once again we are reminded that a thorough investigation does not bring to light the guilty and their wrongdoing. This hearing is an opportunity to locate anything and everything related to the topic at hand so that facts can be buried deep enough so as to never be an embarrassment to the key players in this game ever again.
