Complaining about DC fountains being cleaned; complaining about people not being consulted for their viewpoints to permit the graffiti and filth to remain in place prior to cleaning; complaining that years of environmental studies and municipal hearings did not take place prior to the decision to repair the reflection pool; complaining about saving hundreds of millions by not opening up each restoration process to consultancy fees, studies, public hearings and various bureaucratic indulgency opportunities; a very unhappy Dana Bash confronts Interior Secretary Doug Burgum about his support for President Trump to clean and restore the nation’s capital without consideration for those who prefer things to be a mess.

From what Bash and others like her are saying, if President Trump believes something about America is worth celebrating then it must be partisan and not worthy of having good people celebrate it. Even though whatever it is he is celebrating would have been equally celebrated by just about every prior President (excepting Obama and Biden). But because Trump thinks it is worthy of celebration then everyone should stay away and ruin the anniversary.
The problem is not Trump. The problem is people who think like Bash. People whose raging TDS has stripped them of decency and common sense, not to mention old-fashioned Americanism.

I went to grad school(accounting) with a lot of international students. It was me and a buddy of mine, probably a half-dozen or so other Americans. The other 90% of the class were Chinese, mostly from PRC, handful or so from ROC. These folks were smart; if you think about it, they have to learn everything twice, once in English and then once in Mandarin (or whatever) so they can understand it. And then back to English to take the tests. So, smart.
I get they were technically spies for CCP, but all the ones we knew well, which was all 50ish, were such nice people.
I now forget completely where I was going with this.
P.s. the Chinese and Tiawanese folks got along for the most part, but definitely had some friction.
