This should be interesting. As White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt remains on maternity leave, the Trump White House has done something remarkable and very unique. Cabinet members are taking turns delivering the White House press briefing.
Today, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent steps up to the podium and will be delivering the White House briefing at 2:00pm ET. Secretary Bessent has been one of the standout leaders throughout the first seventeen months. Livestream links below:

“Remarkable and unique.”
Those words describe the entirety of President Trump’s time in office perfectly!
Brilliant idea – kudos to whomever came up with this.
If this was 4 years ago mockingbird media: “a display of talent, range and elocution not seen in a Cabinet since Lincoln’s Team of Rivals”
This should be good. I had never heard of Bessent before President Trump selected him to be Treasury. He is very smart. I will watch the videos when I get home today.
He’s an economic genius. Great pick.
I believe it sharpens skills and tongues , just what this administration absolutely has to do to be heard truefully .
Secretary Bessent will set the standard for next up Cabinet member excellence. Always articulate, with a keen intellect and off the cuff wit.
He doesn’t suffer fools gladly, but he has more patience with them than I would.
Perfectly stated.
Bessent’s answer to the last question about Newscum is epic. “You can’t fix stupid”.
Agreed!
BTW: very cool avatar 👍🏻
Thank you! Crystal Planet, Track #13
I received my quarterly tax vouchers from my accountant today. Never a great moment especially when now it’s evident that the checks will be cashed and the money immediately sent to Somalia.
C’mon Secretary Bessent. How about a national tax holiday until you and the rest of President Trump’s team get your arms around all of the fraud?
The Fraud czar is VP J.D. Vance.
All roads lead to Langley and all checks come from The Treasury.
And all money comes from the U.S. taxpayer.
And the Congress critters (House) own the checkbook.
Don’t we wish? If all the money came from the taxpayer, we could balance this crap out in no time. Congress is spending way more than the amount that comes from us.
Tax money is cash on hand for the uniparty deviants Every thing else is printed and piled on the debt
Remember the Grace commission under Reagan? 100% of the money collected by the income tax goes to a single purpose: paying the interest on the national debt. To the Federal reserve. As the debt has grown do you think that is still true? Do you think that it might be why the debt has exploded – the tax receipts no longer cover the interest due? There is a lot going on in the background with the restructuring of the US economy. The American System that the Prometheans talk about is part of it. Remember they are pointing to when the US was the largest economy in the world before the income tax.
But they still love FDR. Ugh.
Witness the CIA Manager with $40 million + in our money and gold.
Imagine what he did to get all that loot. I am sure it didn’t help us.
I wonder what other loot he stashed away elsewhere in prior years.
Let’s vote in BucknutGuy as his deputy. National tax holiday! 🎯😎
What is extraordinary is the cohesive fluency that this cabinet consistently displays. They appear to function as a collegial team working in unison towards our POTUS’s vision. Karoline is the Alter-Marco. It takes a village to fill her heels! 🙂
You nailed it, MAGA Happy Boy. This administration works as one.
We are VERY blessed with this cabinet. So many of the right skill sets at the right time for the right reasons! 🙂
Absolutely a pleasure to watch each one so far…Trump has been accused in the past of poor selection (usually at the strong recommendations of others; but like the many highly successful business leaders I’ve known in the past…he isn’t afraid to cut those ties if that recommendation doesn’t work out, takes the loss and quickly moves on. It doesn’t necessarily mean that person isn’t capable (Bondi, IMO) but rather doesn’t fit into the overall vision Trump holds.
It takes a village to fill her heels!
Or as Margaret Thatcher said, “Don’t go wobbly on me now, George.”
Scott Bessent is absolutely my favorite cabinet member.
Doctor Bessent!
😁
Secretary Bessent [White House press conference]: As treasury secretary, I have two mandates for U.S. currency.
At present, no living person can be on U.S. currency, and the currency must say, ‘In God We Trust’.
So, right now, there is proposed legislation, in front of the House, in front of the Senate, to change the first requirement so that a living person, Donald J. Trump, could be on the two hundred and fifty dollar bill.
I’d buy one and frame it.
3 times, so far, about Iran : “President Trump is not going to make a bad deal for the American people.”
These people are insufferable and not smart.
I can’t count fast enough to keep up with how many times and ways they ask the same damn question. They are wasting Bessent’s time ( and mine!).
So many of them actually sound like children. Its not just their questions – its their voices. How’re they able to hold down their jobs???
I remember when promising regional journalists/ TV reporters went to school to get rid of regional accents (especially southern) and voice modulation. People who had extremely annoying voices like Jessica, on The Five, wouldn’t stand a chance.a
am listening to Sec. Bessent’s answers and can only say – he’s very good at this give and take, love how he responded to the one reporter’s question about people diving into their savings and the Secretary began his response, to the effect, some could take the reporter’s doomer view or they could take the view people are seeing more in their 401K’s so are confident it’s safe to go into their savings.
That song ‘he’s a smooth operator’ comes to mind 🤣
How can you not like Secretary Bessent? He is the Jimmy Stewart of politics.
Great metaphor
How awesome would it be to see all Soros US assets seized for funding those pantifa domestic terrorists?
Didn’t Bessent work for Soros? Something about the British Pound…
Requirement:
…..” Non- Profits must know and acknowledge who their Grant Recipients are”…..
Yes!
I can take a guess.
The US taxpayers!
Who remembers how deblasio’s wife disappeared nearly a billion dollars for social justice equity or something and supposedly had no idea where all the tax $ went. And that happened right before the 2020 riots.
@SUNDANCE – So glad you took the time to highlight, what I believe was by far and away, THE MOST IMPORTANT data point of, Dr Scott Bessent’ masterclass of humiliation, this press core both asked for, and very much deserved! He was magnificent!
Prior to the good Dr’s performance today, I hadn’t considered him for the role of, Future POTUS, now, I cannot disregard the notion…
Wow!
There is no need. The dollar can be had and used digitally already or if you prefer physically. The public prefers digital as over 90% of transactions are now in that form.
Thank God ✝️🇺🇸🦅💥
This reassuring admission is always a welcome reminder that the PDJT Administration is working hard to return this government to, We The People.
HOT NOW!
US and Iranian negotiators HAVE REACHED a 60-day deal Memorandum of Understanding, to extend the ceasefire and handle nuclear negotiations — Fox News confirms
“It’s now waiting TRUMP’S final approval.”
47 WILL ONLY ACCEPT AMERICA FIRST!

We will see…
Iran has form.
Had one of those for years. This has more detail though.
Quite a bit actually 👍🏻
If part of this 60 day “deal” does NOT include the total reopening of the Hormuz Strait….
…..then this is a HUGE win for Iran and a potentially fatal mistake by Trump.
I doubt President Trump will agree to anything that doesn’t open the Straits of Hormuz. Thinking ahead there needs to be a massive construction project to build two 7 million bpd pipelines from Saudi Arabia EAST to the Yanbu and the Mediterranean otherwise we’ll be held hostage again to the whims of the Mullars.
The total reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is a central component of the proposed 60-day truce between the U.S. and Iran. Under the draft agreement, The proposed 60-day ceasefire extension between the U.S. and Iran includes a commitment to fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz with no tolls and free passage for all ships. As part of the deal, Iran agrees to clear all mines it deployed in the strait, while the U.S. lifts its naval blockade on Iranian ports and issues sanctions waivers to allow Iran to sell oil freely during the period
I want a deal that has a half life of 6 hours.
No more pussy footing around.
So the Memorandum extends the cease fire for 60 days and during those 60 days they will continue the nuclear negotiations.
What was the phrase the President used, “they are tapping us along” or something close to that?
Sixty extra days = Tap, Tap, Tap.
“THERE’S NO CURE FOR STUPID” – Scott Bessent
The end.
That was about Newscum saying that he will tax the gains from the weaponization lawsuits. But I think he meant to all of them as well!
I would.
democrat party needs to be studied for mental illness.
Don’t know how anyone can put up with those jackals……
Watched and I have two conclusions:
The press lives in a completely hypothetical world, what if this, what if that, anything no matter how unrealistic or unlikely if the question itself can be weaponized to sound negative about President Trump.
Secondly, it’s beyond ludicrous that so many comparisons to the most unpresidential people possible are made in order to justify what President Trump decides to do, as if actions taken by the Divider-in-Chief or the Corpse-in-Stolen-Office are needed to legitimize the rational decisions of our patriotic president. Somehow something is okay with the vulture press because president Obama did it first?
I am in awe of President Trump’s second term cabinet. I really like Doctor/Secretary of Treasury Bessent.
It is like ground hog day every day listening to the “journalists” questions. What in the world happened to the education system that creates these sad examples of journalism?
Ground hog day nails it!
Education continues after formal schooling, at any age. It requires foremost the desire to know, to learn and to understand, to keep up. There are more people we know who forged ahead and are successful despite being deprived of good formal schooling due to many reasons.
Placing politics above objective reporting is apparent in the questions and the way those questions are asked.
The common negative bias patterns in various ways of confirmation bias, varies with only quoting experts or sources that align with specific narratives; omitting contradictory evidence or alternative viewpoints.
Anchoring bias in stories rely heavily on a single past event or initial piece of information to frame a current situation which limits the scope of analysis.
As far as availability heuristics; absence of questioning as to whether frequency of an event – airplanes crashes, gun crimes, etal is being exaggerated because recent events or vivid examples are easily recalled at risk of distortion of actual statistics.
Language and framing that subtly steer opinion, tone and rhetorical questions and visual framing of images and headlines are paired to evoke emotional response before processing of facts.
Verification of sources and ownership source diversity is missing. Media outlets ownership conflicts wherein corporate owners, billionaires or state sponsors owning vested interests that shape editorial agendas are not investigated.
Media’s anonymous sourcing, as in “unnamed sources” (is rarely justified i.e. due to safety concerns nor of vital importance), missing trace claims to original sources.
Missing in media is critical verification – they parrot one another per se. Do they even compare the same story reported in different known political leanings?
I remind my littles who love me “never let schooling get in the way of your education” often…
usually while we are making art together.
Journalism as well as many other majors in higher ed are taught what to think, not how to think!
Last reply could have been used multiple times. “There is no cure for stupid.”
All of President Trump’s cabinet picks are sharp as a tack. He revealed more than one “reporter” to be a complete idiot and leftist hack. As much as I miss Karoline making these MSM tools look foolish, I love what the present cabinet members are doing. It’s fun to watch!
We have brains at the top of the Executive Branch, now we need brains in alphabet agencies!
Last time I checked, in order to kill a vampire one drives a stake through it’s heart–forget dragging it into the sunlight, waiting for it to melt…wait for the economy to crash. I have work to do and goals to achieve…get that stake ready!
I am to the point that I will just wear a clove of garlic around my neck.
Can you imagine Biden’s cabinet doing this?
The term Freak Show comes to mind!
What a contrast with the fuzzy headed spokewoman for President Biden.
Not hearing much from her these days.
President Trump is now playing
rope-a-dope with Iran.
Why mess with a $250 bill? More useful would be a $500 or $1000.
Maybe its because a useful single bill is one I can pay for a nice dinner out. Used to be $100 – that might cover drinks and appetizers anymore.
When I was a kid $100 was a lot of money. Everything since then has gone up tenfold, gas, homes, wages.
When I was kid (50’s), I could get 5 candy bars for a quarter!
Wow, I spend about $20 for a nutritional home cooked meal. I think that’s impressive for 76 Y. O. bachelor!
There has never been one! Whoever thought it up probably is thinking about our VSGPDJT. There’s never been one like him. So rock on with the $250 bill. They probably won’t be able to print enough to keep up with the demand.
Of course there is CONgress to get through and approve the living person on a denomination thing. Good grief these scoundrels and @$$hats got to ruin everything. Spittooey!
Probably to commemorate the 250th Birthday of our Great Nation! 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Bingo!
Appropriate for July 4th, 2026 and honoring out current POTUS.
PDJT should gift every American one of the $250 bills.
Some people may need the $ and spend it quickly, but many others will keep it as a collectors item/asset if its only issued once. Who knows, it may be worth $500 or $1000 by the time his term is up.
A Semiquincentenniel commemorative Numismatic – will only increase in value to numismatists ( currency collectors_) in the future.
250 years of One Nation Under God is kind of a Big Deal, don’t you see it?
I have a Silver Certificate dollar bill from childhood – and there are some, not many, pieces of Bicentenniel currency in my archive; it’s a thing people do to pass down to posterity.
More Scott please. He is impeccable in his intellect and resolute in purpose. Excellent appointment President Trump.
Thanks for this info. I didn’t know they were doing this. Very clever!
Bessent is a RockStar… “There is no cure for stupid”.
out
Bessent is a treasure. Plus, he’s pretty cute.
