Consider the amount of money involved in the trilateral USMCA trade agreement. It’s not just about trade and commerce between the USA, Canada and Mexico; the totality of the equation is derived from all of the third-party nations who trade into the North American trade bloc. There are tens-of-trillions at stake.
As we have outlined for several years the trilateral trade agreement has several material flaws. With the U.S. economy as the primary consumption economy, both Mexico and Canada derive significant benefits within the USMCA. Additionally, both Canada and Mexico leverage their unique positions to gain economic benefit from third parties who want to use either country as a backdoor into the U.S. market.
President Trump has long wanted to eliminate the trilateral trade deal in favor of two more controllable bilateral deals, one with Mexico and one with Canada. In large measure this approach is specifically to end the exploitation by third parties. President Trump also noted in his discussions with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney that the primary function of the USMCA was to eliminate NAFTA.
Keep this in mind. The purpose of the USMCA was to eliminate NAFTA.
Now we enter the phase of the USMCA where President Trump can exit the agreement or modify the core foundation of the agreement.
For the past fourteen months Mexico has been modifying their trade and economic policy in anticipation of a USMCA change. However, for the past fourteen months Canada has been combative against President Trump, stoking anger toward Trump, and the government of Canada has been openly proclaiming their intention to economically and politically fight and defeat President Trump.
Again, remember the scale of the money involved here. Additionally, Canada doesn’t have an organic economy if they cannot exploit their market access. If Trump restricts third party exploitation, Canada loses massive amounts of money. This is the baseline for Canada’s reluctance to open up the USMCA for renegotiation; they cannot lose their third-party loophole or else they are really in a bad place.
This sets the stage for trillion-dollar interests to frame opposition not only toward President Trump, but also toward any of his economic team who are in alignment with the renegotiation of the USMCA. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick is chief among those targets along with U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick outlines the issue in the first part of this recent discussion. WATCH:
Canada responds with conversations to media.
OTTAWA—Canada’s chief U.S. trade negotiator said her mandate is to preserve the key elements of the existing North American trade treaty, with no intention to significantly revise or rewrite the pact’s terms.
Janice Charette said she doesn’t expect an agreement among the parties before July 1, when a formal U.S.-led review of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade treaty, or USMCA, is set to begin in earnest.
She added that she is also seeking relief from hefty U.S. tariffs of up to 50% on key industrial sectors such as steel, automobiles, and aluminum. Canada is America’s largest supplier of both steel and aluminum.
“My instructions are very much about protecting the fundamentals of this agreement, not revisiting them,” Charette said at a conference organized by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
“There is no need to renegotiate, there’s no need to open [the treaty] up and change the fundamental underpinnings of it,” she said. “It is a robust agreement,” she added.
[…] Prime Minister Carney appointed Charette, formerly Canada’s chief bureaucrat, as the top trade negotiator in USMCA talks. Over the weekend, Carney released a video statement on YouTube, in which he said Canada’s close ties to the U.S. now represent an economic weakness. Some veteran trade watchers said the prime minister may be setting the stage for USMCA talks to fail.
Charette’s remarks indicate Canada “is basically daring Trump to blow USMCA up and they think Congress or the courts will preserve the deal,” Mark Warner, a trade lawyer who advises clients in Toronto and New York, said. “I think Canada is playing for time and daring Trump to act,” he added. I guess Carney will roll the dice an FAFO. Maybe he is thinking he can Date Katy’s sister when they run him out of town
No, he’s already made preparations to personally survive the disaster he is bringing on Canada by bilking them through no bid governmental contracts with Brookfield Asset Management, in which he holds a significant level of stock, and the fact that the vast majority of his investments are in the US, not in Canada.
In short. the classic leftist MO of risking the livelihood of those you claim to support on one hand, while bilking them for everything you can with the other.

Bigly terrific collage of wolverines!
I just lost my appetite for dinner….
Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes clean to the bone.
That is so aptly said!
(In fact, I’m going to swipe it and use it someday, somewhere 🙂 Credit will be “from a Treeper on the CTH site” if that’s OK with you.
Canada expressing their opinion on whether or not the USMCA needs to be renegotiated is just an opinion. They cannot control that.
Daring Trump to act…
Depending on CONgress to protect them…
Those are not good plans.
Seems to be working fine for those who want fraudulent elections and to stop deportations.
Maybe they are relying on a certain Canadian-born Activist judge in DC to do their dirty work for them. Months before Trump took power, Biden installed Mr. Ali – integral to the ongoing destruction:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2025/03/11/amir-ali-judge-usaid/
I sincerely would like to know how a district judge can ORDER our country to give money to another country. It’s not in our constitution to do so. How can this, legally, happen??
It’s simple. And sad…but you’ve likely noticed that our Constitutional Republic has fallen -least been brought very low. Very low indeed. By the communistic tyrants, i.e. all those who have favored identity in man over acceptance of and identity in Christ Jesus.
They ignore the “republic,” insist upon the “democracy” part and thusly have been directing their energies and efforts toward the Republic’s destruction. A chip here, a chink there, for decades now. They’ve been loving the Digital Age ’cause it’s poured accelerant all over their pickaxes.
Thank you for your reply. I have been well aware of the “democracy” part for some time now. The hair on the back of neck went straight out when I became aware of schools no longer teaching cursive writing. My mind immediately went to our founding documents. Future generations would look at them as if they were written in hieroglyphs. I knew evil intent was behind it. I still keep hoping our “elected” representatives will step up to do the right thing…representating US, but that hope is fading fast. I keep praying He remove the wicked from their positions of power and prestige, and some have been taken away. (Thank you, Lord!) However, every time I read or hear the words Jesus spoke of how the end times will be, I wonder how much worse will/could it get?
yup.
Yea, that was exactly what I was thinking. Honestly, how can the Snow Mexicans be so foolish?!?!
Many of us are not foolish.
We are held captive in an abusive relationship.
See the good folks of Minnesota,Illinois, California, Virginia and others for reference.
IMO what is coming cannot possibly end well if a modicum of sanity is not restored to our collective governance.

Here, here! From stuck in NY😬
Please add Massachusetts to the list, you know, the only state to vote for McGovern.
add Washington State as well
like the iran regime. just like it.
Based on prior experience with the Congress and courts it’s a pretty good bet for Canada. Congress and SCOTUS are not friends of Trump or MAGA. For anyone keeping score.
What is Trump prepared to do to prevail over hostile Congress and Court? Pay back tariffs and fees it assesses when courts invent reasons he can’t exercise his constitutional authority to set foreign policy?
If the treaty sunsets, it sunsets. The Supreme Court shouldn’t be a friend to anyone but the Constitution.
*Shouldn’t.
That’s the operative word.
Am I wrong or does Canada have no choice? The agreement sunsets this year and a new one must be in place.
the way i read the agreement we can pull out ,six months after notification we are out. i hope trump can legally withstand the traitors , the democrat party and their objections. i think its his right as pres. i can’t wait to go fishing in the new country or state of alberta.
I read that Carney was chosen in order to bring Canada into the “zone” of Americas. It is happening in a weird, blustering, bloviating way, but it is happening.
Canada has long been a useful subsidiary of China. They are not free to move about the planet as an independent nation of free citizens. They produce nothing of value on their own. Their assets belong to foreign interests and they are subject to euthanasia for convenience.
Trump has decades of international affairs awareness. The problem for the liberal world, is that he holds the singular authority to reshape global politics. It is very satisfying to watch him use common sense to blockade the self-serving world leaders in the defense of common, every-day American citizens.
Happy 250th Birthday!!!!!!!!!!
“Take off, hoser.” aye.
Snow Mexican tears are the best tears.
Poor Mississippi. Kind of a badge of shame to be less prosperous than Canada. Have great cheer. New York is next.
At least they are not the UK. Every US State is richer than the UK.
is that true?
Check out these links for some context on how poor the UK is relative to US States.
https://donsurber.substack.com/p/brits-poorer-than-mississippians
The UK continues to double down on green energy and illegals. In the race to the bottom, the UK is impossible to catch.
Most of Europe is following that same path, unfortunately.
But for the interference of the great Donald Trump and his agenda, we would have followed suit.
We can follow that great success with an avalanche of voters who know the stakes.
Yes Sir. And we would be on that path without President Trump winning in 2024. Carney is a mirror image of Kamala Harris.
I heard different just last week, that Canada actually ranks behind Mississippi.
Pretty soon, they will be neck-and-neck to Guam.
As long as Guam doesn’t tip over. 😉
My great laugh of the day. I salute you proud fellow American.
Happy 250th Birthday to you.
You too!
When I heard Hank say that I knew we were in serious trouble as a country.
And he is still there…..imagine that !
One huge problem for the Snow Mexicans is that they’re wilfully blind to their economic destruction. This is compounded by the fact their elected leaders are world-class liars. Have to add Canada to the likes of the EUnuchs. They don’t realize how impotent they really are.
I just saw a cauliflower in our Vancouver Safeway, just under $8 CAN – $5.85 US !!! We have the highest food inflation in the G7.
Our son is in the US and he aint coming back to Canada!!!
We are all booked up to visit for 250th US B/Day in July – xx
The Brits are less prosperous than the folks in Mississippi, and I suspect the same is true of Canadians.
That gives an even richer meaning to the legendary Trump map that located all the sh*thole countries around the world. Countries that use their citizens as slaves to their pompous ruling classes are looking less and less influential on the world stage.
Happy 250th Birthday!!!!!!!!!!
Mississippi only needs to raise its per capita GDP by a few thousand to overtake Canada. Mississippi — $41,600 (rounded, estimate), Canada — $44, 400 (rounded estimate). Those numbers are, I believe, from 2024, so they may be subject to change.
All they have to do is wait for Canada to come down a few more thousands.
Don’t compare all of Canada to Mississippi. Haven’t looked at recent data but many of the provinces could be behind Mississippi by now given the continued contraction of Canada’s economy. Mississippi was ahead of 3 and chasing two.
Also, Mississippi is a fun word to type out.
Mississippi public schools have dramatically raised scores on two of the “R’s”

They chunked modern edu fads, returned to old-fashioned teaching methods.
re: “Poor Mississippi. Kind of a badge of shame to be less prosperous than Canada.”
The text I see above reads “making Canada the second poorest US state after Mississippi.”
Key words here: “after Mississippi.”
Didja catch that?
Well, let’s see. After, implies that something comes after. At the bottom of the list is Mississippi. After the lowest income state of Mississippi, comes the second poorest ‘state’ of Canada. Reading comprehension plus some math: Mississippi is LESS prosperous than Canada. Canada is MORE prosperous than Mississippi.
Merely starting at the bottom of the list and working upward. Otherwise the text would read, Canada, the poorest US ‘state.
Happy 250th Birthday!!!!!!!!!!
Mississippi! Use to spend my summer there as a child with my cousins. Hiking in the cotton patches, hanging out on a lonesome highway with my cousins, hiking around Indian Mounds, playing troll on the dilapidated wooden bridge.
Going home to Houston, hometown, moving a lot slower. Great summers.
Ah! The joys of childhood. It sounds like a great place for kids to be kids and revel in the wild freedom of endless discoveries.
So glad for your happy memories. May Huston be as good to you.
Oops!
Canada is barely above Mississippi, but after the USMCA eulogy later this summer, Canada will be below Mississippi I suspect. China will not be the savior Canada believes they will be against the mean old United States. That “elbows up” hatred of the United States works both ways. After Canada realizes the error of their ways, the United States may not be there for them. It would certainly serve them right should that be the case.
When they have no future, it is always predictable that they look back at the past. As with most “investments” past results are no guarantee of future success. Carney is living proof. He does have housing, investments, projects, careers, and the future.
What he does not have is a plan. He is not a leader. He is not very smart. He does not even know he is not holding any cards. Carney is Hopium. Canada is screwed.
They may have to give BC to the tribes. Maybe Carney will give us Alberta? But more likely he will kill a bunch of Albertans to keep them in Canada. His only hope may be to open the border so that illegals can flood into the US along with fentanyl.
Canadian carnies present their performance circus.
Carney needs to resign. This video is in English, not even French subtitles. How dare he offend his largest voting block.
Very predictable
It was large scale global collusion united against MAGA which manufactured the pandemic hoax necessary to remove Trump from power and install Obama again in 2020.
Nothing Is Off The Table
A wise man understands/acknowledges his strengths… and his weaknesses.
Globalist Carney is automatically, cripplingly handicapped because has none of the former, but plenty of the latter by orders of magnitude.
Little to no quarter will be given by President Trump.
And it will be glorious.
(It gives me no pleasure to write this, keeping in mind as I always do, how patriotic Canadians, many brothers and sisters in our Tree, are suffering.)
Correct my Treeper sister. Have to feel for our Canadian MEGA like friends. Unfortunately there’s not enough of them to save Canada from the economic destruction that appears imminent.
And it’s infuriating, dear sir.
Let’s not say “Canada”, let’s say the Canadian government. The people of Canada, generally, do not deserve the poor leadership they’re currently stuck with. The government has been earnestly wrecking Canada on so many levels. I do hope the people rise up en masse and rid themselves of these insane bureaucrats.
Generally though, I trust Trump to right the trading dynamics.
uhh, the canadian people voted these liberal schmucks into office/ they get what they deserve, and they deserve nothing but the back of our hand
Like the US voted for Biden, Spanberger, Gallego, SoCal liberals, any current GA senator, etc, etc, etc?
Yes. I live in MN and as much as it pains me to admit, we are our own worst enemy and until we get our act together and vote the bums out we have to accept the consequences of our collective decisions. At least in the US we have the choice of moving to a location/state that’s better run if we see no hope of turning things around where we live.
It’s highly likely that Carney was installed, not elected.
HE WAS.
Hand-picked by Tony Blair, according to Mark Steyn.
They deserve what they continue to elect and re-elect.
Correct.
Not disagreeing with you at all, but wonder if they have the same election theft issues as we do here. I’m not familiar with the way their system works. Time to find out! 😉
We have an election issue called “first past the post.”
Oh, for an Electoral College…
Honk!
No….they have the government they deserve.
I think President Trump will be respectful to the Canadian People, while giving its leaders the thrashing they so richly deserve. Canada has no choice but to take the deal as offered.
I believe the result will be a win for the US but also eventually Canada as well, if they can wean themselves from China and the fentanyl cartels. And say goodbye to car assembly.
If Ontario and Quebec keep abusing Alberta, Canada is toast. Without Alberta’s economy the country goes down the drain.
It is going to be very interesting. Alberta cannot afford to stay and the rest of Canada cannot afford to let them leave. Carney and the Liberals are totalitarians. It is going to be a mess.
Canada has no cards to play. President Trump holds the “TRUMP CARD.” As a Canadian, I am can hardly wait for a “regime” change up here.
Unless you can see beyond the natural and into the spiritual, no “clay” can truly understand these days.
God bless President Trump, as he throws a monkey wrench into the plans of the Islamists, the Globalists, and the Communists.
God is truly holding his hand.
Exactly. We are very close to Jesus return.
Oh, Canada…..always trying to be of consequence.
My company has had a small branch office in Moncton, NB Canada for close to (20) years. One of our customers up there is Irving Oil in St. Johns. They’ve now implemented a policy where no USA workers/contractors are allowed to work there (I don’t have all the details), so my small branch office had to ‘decline to bid’ on a large contract that would require more staffing than what we have locally; in the past, we would augment the branch’s staff with techs from the USA.
We have other purchase orders from them that require US techs to come to site, and those have not been cancelled. The technology involved in these jobs can’t be performed by the local Canadian staff.
Truth be told, much of Canada’s industrial sector needs US technology to operate efficiently.
Our elected leaders in the Legislative branch and the appointed black robes in the judicial branch don’t care about agreements when there is trillions at stake. Carney has probably already had his trade talks with Thune
But I have news for them. When Trump finishes with Iran, Cuba, Mexico and Canada are next on his ‘to do’ list.
No. They do care. Just not about America First.
The first joint review scheduled to begin on 7/1/26 will reshape rules of origin (automotive and electronics), labor enforcement, sector-specific duties, and even the structure of the agreement itself. As Secretary Luttnick explained, USA can’t treat Canada and Mexico like Alabama.
If Canada is just “playing for time and daring Trump to act“, then the first order of business on July 1 should be President Trump terminating USMCA. Since the Canadians think they can wait him out with Congress and the courts trying to tie his hands as much and for as long as possible, then the President has no time to waste. Blow up the agreement on July 1.
Why wait? Make clear today that we’re blowing it up.
Leaving USMCA will take about a year or so considering it’ll go through the activist Courts.
However, before USMCA is even over Trump will likely place tariffs and penalties on Canada.
One way or another the result will be the same.
Likely Canada is going to crack up, starting with Alberta.
We can look forward to making great mutually beneficial trade deals with Alberta, without Ottawa running interference.
Trump has shown to be a good strategist but he does give a lot of ground in the end. With Trillions at stake, I look for this to happen and Canada will get off with essentially the same deal.
If that were the case, we’d still have NAFTA. With everything that Canada has done in the last year and a half, I think the outcome will differ from your forecast.
He negotiates from a position of strength and is fair in his compromises. What he cedes he already anticipated ceding to make the party feel good about the deal.
I will indeed Blame Canada!
Canada’s strategy is to bribe our congress critters to oppose President Trump. Help the Democrats cheat in the midterms along with the foreign globalists and China. Their attitude seems to indicate that China, the globalists and our own government traitors have assured this will work. May God, through President Trump, thwart these evil bastards.
They must believe the fortune cookies from China.
Not a good idol to have, of course none but God will do.
Finding out now is better…✝️🦅💥🇺🇸
“Charette’s remarks indicate Canada “is basically daring Trump to blow USMCA up and they think Congress or the courts will preserve the deal,” Mark Warner, a trade lawyer who advises clients in Toronto and New York, said. “I think Canada is playing for time and daring Trump to act,” he added”
That (FAFO) is really asking for “Unpleasantness” that could have been avoided.
What an upbeat cheerleader for MAGA economic policy!
Screw Canada. They have a very weak hand and will soon find out that crapping on the US was a big mistake. Carney is delusional, thinking that China will be Canada’s savior.
Cut the CORD!
Canada is controlled by the globalist cabal seeking to destroy the USA society and liberties. The cabal which has partnered with the Chinese Communist Party desires fewer humans that are basically slaves and robots which will do their bidding. Freedom loving people around the world need to wake up and smell the coffee. The Canadian government is an enemy of the American people. The bottom line is that we don’t need Canada but they need us.
The Liberals up there are like the Democrats here….We are one election away from being Canada. Think Harris or Newsom and think about the Fraud ramping up even more. We are dead if they get back in. We were dead as President Trump says when he got back in.
Carney is playing with fire (not time) and the adults (Trump) will be taking away his matches very soon.
Snow mexicans will wakeup to a harsh reality when President Trump closes a deal with Mexico this year. Same thing happened last time when Mexico preempted and negotiated first for USMCA. Canada scrambled afterwards but got the short end of the stick. The framework for Mexico’s new deal will be a baseline for the snow mexican’s new deal. Whether it’s Congress or US Courts, none will have a leg to stand on/resist President Trump if one country negotiated and accepted a fair deal while another one is howling about similar baseline and reasonable deal…
They can always roll the dice and walk out of negotiations, play for time, until a more favorable US Congress comes in for them…
I remember a trip to Disney World around 1990 where we met a couple of Canadians. They complained that American cars had a 50% import duty so were too expensive. Turn around is fair play.
Imports into the United States from Canada equaled 11.2% of overall US imports from around the world in 2025, down from 12.6% in 2024.
Fastest-growing US imports from Canada from 2024 to 2025 was jewelry (up 289%), aluminum waste and scrap (up 60.2%), refined copper and unwrought alloys (up 44.8%), unwrought gold (up 38.5%), then petroleum gases (up 35.7%).
Decliners impacting America’s spending on imported goods from Canada the most were miscellaneous items made from iron or steel (down -41.2% from 2024), copper wire (down -39.6%), miscellaneous structures made from iron or steel (down -38.2%), radioactive chemical elements (down -36.7%) then medication mixes in dosage (down -32.8%).

Build the Northern Wall.
In the game of FAFO, Canada is as well prepared as a one legged man in an arse kicking contest.
I say, bring it on and let the game begin!
So the Liberals goal is to keep the same deal through the Billionaires and Democrats. Put Canadians over Americans and keep the gravy train flowing? Democrats putting Canadians first. You have to admit for a little grift the Democrats will do it.
That stunt will light a fuse on the world’s greatest negotiators. FAFO will be a huge mistake for Canada. Carney has never run anything and he is the kind of guy that will freeze at the controls.
God bless President Trump.
Finally someone who stands for the USA, much to the dismay of so many.
Canada could become a U.S. protectorate.
We really need a decent highway and rail line to Alaska.
Their behavior screams they are counting on Congress to block President Trump and his team.
How can Canada with a population of 40 million buy and consume the same amount of “products” as the United States when they have 10% of our population…
…and yet they do!
According to the US Office of Trade Canada’s imports of products and services from the US is virtually even with the US imports from Canada meaning that they aren’t ripping us off! On top of that almost 40% of Canada’s exports to us are oil, natural gas and lumber. 🤔
USTR “Canada Trade Summary…
U.S. goods and services trade with Canada totaled an estimated $909.1 billion in 2024, down .5 percent ($4.8 billion) from 2023.
U.S. goods trade (exports plus imports) with Canada totaled an estimated $719.5 billion in 2025. U.S. goods exports to Canada in 2025 were $336.5 billion, down 3.8 percent ($13.4 billion) from 2024. U.S. goods imports from Canada totaled $383.0 billion in 2025, down 7.0 percent ($28.9 billion) from 2024. The U.S. goods trade deficit with Canada was $46.4 billion in 2025, a 25.1 percent decrease ($15.5 billion) over 2024.
U.S. total services trade (exports plus imports) with Canada totaled an estimated $147.3 billion in 2024. The U.S. services trade surplus with Canada was $33.2 billion in 2024, a 6.1 percent increase ($1.9 billion) over 2023.”
I think you missed the whole point. Our trade with Canada is fine. Canada allowing China and all the other countries to run products through Canada into the US is the problem they make lots of money on it tens of trillions are at stake. Reread the article. Canada has oil and minerals. Lumber nothing else they haven’t even updated their sawmills yet their sawmills are still run old school. we have sawmills that will operate virtually with four people. Canada is old technology until they step up the pace for their people they will suffer. And that is a travesty in itself due to the politicians wanting to get rich. Canada is a beautiful country. It has lots and lots of opportunity yet they just won’t allow it. We did a study back in 07 to run a bullet line from Prudhoe
Bay Alaska through Canada into Chicago and the limp rested politicians denied any possibility of permitting this tiny bullet line it would’ve been 30 feet wide at most completely buried well maintained we would have a allowed Canada to siphon off as much gas as they needed for their people and be able to supply the United States with all the natural gas they could ever use. Our politicians in America didn’t do a whole lot better. This is our problem the politicians.
Some trade with Canada is fine. Not sure why the US needs to buy $100B in crude, $20B in petro, $46B in car/truck/auto parts. Additionally, US banks are essentially regulated-out .. On top of that they are and have been China’s simp. No, mercy – gut the USMCA ASAP.
I think that Canada is going to win this fight. That’s because they’ve got the giant corporations on their side. They’ve got the Giant news media on their side. They’ve got the COMMIEcrats on their side and I don’t mean just the elected ones. The COMMIEcrats “brown shirts” street thugs are activated and deadly. Our side isn’t engaged at all. So sad.
Oh yeah? So how’s that exact same plan working out for Iran?
LOL— “The COMMIEcrats “brown shirts” street thugs are activated and deadly.”
The rent-a-thugs who don’t even know what they are fighting for? those “deadly thugs”?
Last entries into the “dead” list were two “brown shirt street thugs”.
Huh? “Our side isn’t engaged at all. So sad.”
Our side is literally changing the world order right before your eyes. Please keep up.
Apparent SPLC donor has the sads because despite SPLC spending millions of dollars staging fake non-sense, the MAGA base is not taking their retarded bait (Patriot Front!?)
Really you thought that obviously astroturfed garbage would work???
LOL
Canada like the EU, NATO., both our parties, China and a host of others are letting the clock run out on Trumps last term. That is without pretending. Simple as that. If as expected the Repulicants lose their majorities in the midterms then the president is a very lame duck.
Canada is playing the delay game until the midterms, hoping the dems take both houses. As has been shown repeatedly, they will hold hostage both Houses till they get what they want. Without repercussions. I expect this will take place between impeachments and criminal investigations of the WH.
If and when the Democrats take control of Congress, then in addition to impeaching Donald Trump, the Democrats will also impeach several of his cabinet members; and possibly two of the conservative Supreme Court justices.
It’s likely the articles of impeachment for the president, for the targeted cabinet members, and for the targeted Supreme Court justices have already been drafted and the trial arguments already written and strategized.
It is also rumored that post-2028 election criminal indictments for Donald Trump, for all his Trump 47 cabinet members, for all his political appointees, and for his senior department and agency managers have already been assembled by the DC Swamp’s Democrat-employed law firms.
These indictments will be issued just as soon as the Democrats enter the Oval Office in January of 2029. A series of Moscow show trials for anyone connected with the Trump 47 administration will then commence.
Swamp people sucking high on the hog … win in 2028. No accomplishments gloat worthy.
Tasha Kheiriddin: Carney preparing to fail in Trump negotiations | National Post
This is not a good idea
The way things are shaping up right now, more likely than not, the Democrats will control both the House and the Senate in January of 2027.
Their first priority will be to impeach Donald Trump and quickly hold a trial in the Senate. Some number of RINO Republicans in the Senate will vote for conviction. But it’s not likely the Democrats and their UniParty allies will get enough votes to convict.
However, the Democrats and their RINO Republican allies do expect that the impeachment and subsequent trial will leave Donald Trump as the most tightly constrained of lame duck presidents.
The Democrat’s second but equally important priority will be to pass legislation which undoes everything Trump 47 did in his first two years in office in every policy area — trade, economic policy, environment, energy, industrial policy, foreign policy, defense, education, health & human services — everything.
Trump will be faced with the prospect of either vetoing this all-encompassing legislation and risk that a UniParty Congress might overturn his veto, or else risk being blamed for shutting down the federal government if the legislation is tied directly to spending bills.
As it concerns the snow mexicans, we should suspect that the Democrats and their UniParty Republican allies in Congress have already been talking informally with Canadian government officials and have advised them to just hang tough, help is on the way.
The IEEPA Tariff disaster, invading Greenland threat, not ending the Ukraine War and now the Iran Conflict with high oil and gas prices almost guaranteed a Democrat sweep in November.
I don’t know who has been giving President Trump this incredibly bad advice!
The problem here is that because Donald Trump’s economic, trade, and energy policies need time to work, quick and visible victories are needed in domestic policy areas to keep the MAGA voter base energized for the mid-terms.
With the exception of closing the border, other quick actions on Deep State criminality and on election integrity have not been forthcoming. In addition, the administration has retreated on immigration law enforcement.
The other major problem is that Donald Trump is being perceived by the MAGA voter base as devoting more time, energy, and resources to foreign policy matters than he is to domestic matters, doing so at the direct expense of the MAGA voter base domestic agenda.
The vibe I get personally from the MAGA voters I talk with is that the war with Iran is a major distraction from domestic America First priorities, and that engaging in this war is a major betrayal of Trump’s promise not to become involved in another useless war in the Middle East.
Do you ever have anything positive to say? Every post from you is doom, doom, doom. Maybe that’s you’re agenda here.
And what does the Demonrat party offer that makes you such a doomer? They have no platform other than keeping illegal aliens, with full welfare benefits in the country by any means possible.
The Demonrat Party is a walking corpse. Their corruption won’t be possible for their legacy media friends, try as they might, to cover up.
Alos, I want to see the RINOs try to overturn a Trump veto. That’s FAFO.
2026 should be like 1994. The Demonrats are batshit crazy and I see no hope for them.
MAGA isn’t going anywhere but to the polls.
Many MAGA voters believe that the America First agenda has not been pursued with the attention and the vigor that was promised. Moreover, many of those voters believe that attacking Iran is a major betrayal of Trump’s solemn promise not to become engaged in another useless Middle East war.
I’ve been involved in grassroots Republican Party politics for more than fifty years. I know how to gauge and assess the attitudes of the people the Republicans need to motivate to come out to the polls.
You have been warned. The CTH readership community has been warned. Big red flags are waving briskly in the political winds. The big problem here is that Donald Trump and his closest political advisors have been ignoring those big red flags for ten months and longer.
Couldn’t agree more, independent voters feel the same. Midterms are gonna be brutal. Seems the hive mind mentality has overtaken MAGA in the same way it over took the nutters on the left.
Pure AI Chat GDP speculation
Lawrence Bucar: “Pure AI Chat GDP speculation”
I’ve been part of the MAGA movement since the summer of 2015. I’ve been posting comments here on CTH since the summer of 2018. As a long-time participant in grassroots Republican politics, more than fifty years, I’ll put my assessment of the current political situation up against anyone who wants to challenge it.
Repeating what I said above, you have been warned. The CTH readership community has been warned. Big red flags are waving briskly in the political winds. The big problem here is that Donald Trump and his closest political advisors have been ignoring those big red flags for ten months and longer.
The clearly illegal IEEPA Tariff Debacle which absolutely destroyed the stock market in less than 30 days last April pissed-off a whole lot of President Trump’s support. The market was falling thousands of points a day in free fall. Navarro and Lutnick were cavalier and mocking. Reports that Lutnick’s firm sold it’s stock holdings in March at the high and went 100% into bonds. Investors lost 25% to 50% of their accounts.
Sure, if you had balls of chromium steel and held you eventually recovered but lots of people panicked as sold.
I don’t think much effort has been made to win them back between not ending the Ukraine War and now this Iran Adventure.
“Clearly illegal” based on what Ketanji-logic? The “debacle” was created by the court. It was clearly a protection, well within his Pres authority to regulate imports to protect the US economy. You keep posting the same sorry song here. Why don’t you cash-out whatever you have left now and head to Paris or London live it up!
If you went to Catholic Elementary School in New York City in the 1950s you learned that under the Constitution only Congress can impose taxes or tariffs. The IEEPA Law President Trump used to justify levying tariffs doesn’t even mention the word TARIFFS. It wasn’t even close that it would be thrown out.
No, it’s not just Ketanji logic. It’s 3rd grade American History logic not to mention losing the House and Senate.
You might want to ask the Archdiocese for a refund. He was well within his authority under the Act. Enjoy your fentanyl, opioids, and parasitic trade. Yup – sounds like the Catholic church. Say hi to Leo the Commie for me.
Sure, if you had balls of chromium steel and held you eventually recovered but lots of people panicked as sold.
Such people know nothing about the market and shouldn’t have been there.
There’s a reason the excellent Elizabeth Nickson calls Canada the “Demented Dominion”.
I’ve never been able to see the issues with these trade agreements.
There’s nothing made or assembled in Canada that I need.
Anything we need we can make here if we don’t already.
Import nothing and let industry export at whatever the market will bare.
No drawn out agreements to negotiate.
Canada is our biggest trading partner so obviously there’s a reason for the transactions on both sides of the border.
Dear John Thune,
I’ll trade you one USMCA extension for one Save America Act.
Regards,
America
NATO tried the FAFO route….and found out the hard way what it means to get on Trump’s wrong side. Carney is stuck on stupid and I see that he picked ministers who are equally stupid as him….
Go for it Marky and see how it plays out.
Let it die a natural death.
How will Canada react when Toyota closes their plants in Canada because they’ll lose the tariff free aspect of building vehicles and engines in Ontario?
Let’s bomb their infrastructure.
No need.
The climate change agenda they are chained to is doing more economic damage to their infrastructure then anything we could do, short of weapons of mass destruction.
“Charette’s remarks indicate Canada “is basically daring Trump to blow USMCA up and they think Congress or the courts will preserve the deal,”
Judge Bozoberg rules that it is a constitutional; right for Canada to screw the USA and have economic trade that favors them.
Congressional Uniparty members are quick to agree with the decision.
The USMCA is not just a treaty it’s a law so you can expect Boasberg to stop President Trump from ending it without Congressional approval.
The face of Carney might be spewing words but the WEF and China are behind the curtain demanding Mark push back at every opportunity.
Seems I recall another leader of Canada who banked on congress to get them through. Lost his sparkle socks. There are those fighting the good fight for us and President Trump. (Can’t believe I just typed that) so not everything depends on the top tier rinos and democrats. Is that a flashlight I see at the end of this tunnel?
Just be sure the northern border is closed as well.
