A reasonable reaction would have been for representatives of the US, Denmark, Greenland and NATO to sit down and hammer out a plan that would lead to a mutually stronger defensive arrangement for “The West” (if such a thing exists). The EU was rightly left out and it is questionable whether NATO has a role to play…diplomacy and all that.
