Giddy up. Yesterday, President Trump and Marco Rubio announced the U.S. withdrawal from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). {GO DEEP} Today, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent makes the official notification to the UN.
The notification is important because the 1992 UNFCCC was ratified by the U.S. Senate 34 years ago, making it one of the first UniParty climate change pacts supported by the ¹DC business model.
According to the terms of the treaty, withdrawal from the UNFCCC requires an official notification to the United Nations, and the dissolution takes effect one year later.
TREASURY PRESS RELEASE – WASHINGTON – In alignment with the Trump Administration’s decision to withdraw from the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the U.S. Department of the Treasury has notified the Green Climate Fund (GCF) that the United States is withdrawing from the Fund and stepping down from its seat on the GCF Board, effective immediately.
“Our nation will no longer fund radical organizations like the GCF whose goals run contrary to the fact that affordable, reliable energy is fundamental to economic growth and poverty reduction,” said U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent.
The Trump Administration is committed to advancing all affordable and reliable sources of energy, which are fundamental to economic growth and poverty reduction. The GCF was established to supplement the objectives of the UNFCCC, and continued participation in the GCF has been determined to no longer be consistent with the Trump Administration’s priorities and goals. For those who have a tough time accepting wins, no, the next President cannot just rejoin the agreement; nor can the Senate block Trump’s withdrawal from it. The entire process would have to be restarted, and it’s a heavy lift to sell the American public on paying higher prices just to make pontificating global elites feel better about themselves.
In addition, all the AI investments and infrastructure stuff needs quickly expanding massive amounts of energy. So, no, it’s not going to be reversed.
Now take some quiet time tomorrow over coffee and think about how many mechanisms of the U.S. govt are connected to this now removed climate change agenda.

My happy place will be when two things happen, UN gone from our country, USA out of the UN and birth right citizenship canceled or at the very least modified, so no family members can become citizens even if their baby is automatically a citizen at birth. Make it that the only way family stays is if they apply and pass citizenship qualifications and renounce their citizenship in their home country to be able to stay here. Guess dual citizenship ban is another sweet spot for me. No foreign born person with dual citizenship can run for office in the USA is another dream.

This is fantastic. I’m a retired chemical engineer and spent a large part of my career working on REAL air pollution control. Not to brag, but to give an example of my experience, I once won an award for leading a team that developed a novel technology that removed really nasty compounds from a major air pollution source (production of the main precursor for polyethylene terephthalate (PET), which is used for all kinds of stuff including plastic bottles, containers, even clothing).
The off gas from the process includes a variety of nasty VOCs, i.e. REAL pollutants unlike CO2, that were previously released directly into the atmosphere (many tons annually). I’m talking carcinogens and mutagens like benzene, xylene, methyl bromide, etc. I can honestly say I did much more to reduce air pollution (and save lives) than Al Gore and his fellow cult/scam artists.
I’ve tried telling people for 20+ years that the global warming BS & vilification of CO2 was a major scam, but of course most people chose to believe Al Gore and the lying media.
I remember a lot of times the watermelons were trying to fool people about air pollution.
I’ve seen plenty of alarmist pieces using those false color photos of water vapor rising from cooling towers of the sorts one would find at nearly every conventional thermal plant in the world to vilify carbon (CO2). Like how is that even supposed to fly when CO2 is an odorless, colorless, and nontoxic gas at the typical concentrations that humans are exposed to?
