Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is promoting support for his 20-point peace plan via phone calls with various EU stakeholders including, President of Finland Alex Stubb, Prime Minister of Canada Mark Carney, NATO General Secretary Mark Rutte, the Prime Minister of Estonia Kristen Michal, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and the Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen.
The overall position of Zelenskyy is a continuum of public relations and constructs intended to maintain the illusion of support in order to retain receiving funding from western interests. Ukraine is the proxy war between the ‘west’ and the Russian Federation.
Zelenskyy is scheduled to meet with President Trump on Sunday. However, in an interview with Politico U.S. President Donald Trump tamps down expectations.

President Trump is correct in saying Zelenskyy has nothing until President Trump agrees to support the proposal.
Despite the promotional tours of the Ukraine president, ultimately Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin is in control of the majority of the Eastern Donbas region and has not indicated any willingness to give up that territory.
The European Leadership and ‘coalition of the willing’ have essentially constructed the terms and conditions of the Zelenskyy proposal. However, that same group have positioned their interests with exceptional antagonism toward Russia.
According to those who control the political power centers, Russia is the existential threat to Europe, and all of their proposals are with a baseline of continued conflict at the center of their strategic plan.
Zelenskyy is proposing that Russia pulls back from the Donbas and Ukraine will agree to a demilitarized economic control zone in the region. However, that is essentially no different from what existed prior to Russia’s entry into Ukraine, and there is no reason to think the “economic control zone,” filled with a regional population who support Russia, would be anything less than another name for a place where NATO will be playing games to provoke further conflict.
Without U.S. support the NATO proxy war against Russia will be much more difficult to maintain. Team EU/Zelenskyy are positioning their tactics with an expectation that President Trump will be greatly diminished in the 2026 midterm election.

It’s true that Trump could have ended this conflict at any time from January 20, 2025 onward, by simply ceasing all support.
(His campaign promise was credible because that’s all it takes.)
But the geopolitical shift occurring – managing the US hegemony down to a diminished position in the coming global order centered on rising industrial hegemon China – is supported by outcomes of continuing the conflict for a while longer. Including:
1. Depleting US and EU weapons.
2. Providing Russia/China deep insights into US military weapons, systems, and tactics, with captured materiel* and real-world testing to refine the building Russia/China military.
3. Further adding to US and EU sovereign debt and fiat money printing to drive inflation sinking the middle and working classes toward serfdom (neo-feudalism) while undermining the positions of western governments and the dollar.
4. Stoking fear in the US/EU peoples. A staple of authoritarian governments to impose surveillance/police states controlling the people.
5. Accelerating the global split of the rising China “multi-polar global order” from the western bloc and dollar hegemony.
Trump cannot end the conflict yet because if the US ceased all support in one fell swoop, the conflict would immediately end, but this would leave the EU intact and reveal that there never was an existential threat to Europe from Russia (revealing the lie).
So what we are witnessing instead is a long drawn out shift, where the US is redirecting military efforts to the Americas as a pretext to gradually withdraw from Ukraine and the EU while setting up the EU to fail trying to “defend against evil Russia”.
Because the EU – especially industrially-strong Germany – must be brought down with the US, as part of the geopolitical shift underway. (Notice how hard Germany is being hammered down by the combined effects of the climate canard, immigration flood, Chinese industrial/economic competition, and sovereign debt explosion?)

You look at that map and it tells you Putin does not want NATO with the ability to control the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea. That is most of what creates security concerns within Russia.

But somewhere in that mess, those sanctions were written with the intent of destroying the monetary system. And to do more harm to the West than to Russia.
And having been on the path of ever worsening sanctions for years, the targets formed alliances to lessen the effect. BRICS. And they were prepared when the sanctions got worse.
Yet despite our war against Russia failing, despite our sanctions failing both against Russia and against the West, the geniuses in the West keep pushing to ruin.
We have been on a 35 year push to destroy Russia ever since the Soviet Union collapsed. And using the “defensive” organization of NATO to do so.
That is the Why of this War. Why NATO must expand into Ukraine. Why coups must be run everytime Ukraine gets friendly with Russia. Why false peace agreements are made with the intent to arm Ukraine to fight Russia. Why Russia must act to defend itself. Why we must demonize Russia as a threat to all the West stands for.
Meanwhile, the West is destroying itself. Destroying all it ever stands for. Doing to itself all that it accuses Russia will do.
The aspect of the West that must destroy its own monetary system to ‘destroy’ Putin, that must destroy all internstional economic trust to steal from Russia, is an apocalyptic threat to the world.
