I agree 100%. However, despite the fact that neither Gabbard nor Rubio are natural born citizens, both attempted to violate the very Constitution they claim to love and cherish by running for president. Yes, both have certainly earned genuine high praise for their recent exceptionally good works. But, until they admit their attempt to illegally serve as president was wrong, I cannot 100% trust they will not use their current popularity to make the same illegal attempt again as soon as they believe is reasonably possible.
There ARE no exceptions to the Constitutionally mandated requirements for the presidency.

Actually, according to current law, any legal US citizenship Rubio might have is a result of US naturalization law. In other words, assuming he is a legal US citizen, he is and can only be a naturalized citizen. Naturalized citizens cannot be natural born citizens. Ergo, naturalized citizen Rubio cannot be a natural born citizen.
Assuming the law you’re referring to is the 14th Amendment, the Constitution only grants Congress the power to make naturalization law. Nowhere in the Constitution does it grant Congress ANY power to make law creating citizens or natural born citizens. Therefore, any part of that amendment pertaining to citizenship must be considered to be naturalization law and only naturalization law. So, assuming that amendment granted Rubio any kind of citizenship, that citizenship has to be naturalized citizenship.
A naturalized citizen cannot be a natural born citizen simply because citizenship granted by law cannot, by definition, be natural.

The only way to become a US citizen BY birth without going through the naturalization process is to be born on US soil to a US citizen parent. The only way to become a natural born citizen is to be born on US soil to two US citizen parents.

According to your logic, there can no longer be any laws against murder due to OJ getting away with that crime.
