FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino confirms via his X account, that he will be leaving the FBI in January.
This announcement does not come as a surprise to those follow the details of corrupt systems closely and who have watched the scale of the problems surface through the years.
The problems within the FBI as an institution are systemic. Both Kash Patel and Dan Bongino faced a monumental challenge in trying to get their arms around the scale of the problem within the institution. There is no apple, only worms.
Any type of institutional confrontation at this scale can only succeed if the problems are first admitted. Bongino faced a big challenge with Director Patel refusing to accept institutional corruption was the biggest issue. You cannot correct problems of great consequence until you admit the core of the problem. No admission was made. The problems remain.
Inasmuch as we all wanted Dan Bongino to succeed, we must also admit to ourselves he did not possess sufficient skills that neuter the attack vectors that would be exploited against him. Training that skillset first starts with an inward conversation.
Easily identified attack vectors are mechanisms deployed by those who retain corrupt activity within the institution.
We knew from the outset the corrupt FBI actors would seek to remain in control by manipulating the leadership Trump dispatched to confront them.
Kash Patel’s primary attack vector comes as an outcome of his ego, desire for affluence and delusions of grandeur.
Dan Bongino’s attack vector was/is his emotional need to be liked and appreciated by his audience. As a broadcast personality an internal codependency heading is good for business. However, in an institutional leadership position that same a codependency mindset is the opposite of the skillset needed to confront a corrupt audience.
Emotional dependency, definitions of self-worth determined by an external audience, creates vulnerability. Corrupt FBI actors know how to exploit a personality that needs to be liked (Bongino), and corrupt FBI actors know how to exploit a personality that assigns value to the indulgences of position (Patel). This was the non-pretending baseline for easy to predict failure.
Former National Security Advisor Mike Waltz held a worldview that was counter to the perspective of President Trump. He did possess the skillset; he just held the wrong mindset. For Dan Bongino it was the opposite. Bongino holds the same mindset as President Trump, he just didn’t have the skillset.
Misaligned outlook or misaligned skillsets, when combined with easily identifiable attack vectors, creates manipulative opportunities for those who intend to continue corrupt endeavors within big institutional systems.
We wish Dan Bongino all the best as he returns to private life.
We will continue praying for Mr Bongino’s physical and emotional health, and we sincerely thank him for his efforts.

“Dan Bongino’s attack vector was/is his emotional need to be liked and appreciated by his audience.”
Curious formulation. People-pleasing as ‘attack vector’. What, attack the already-converted with solicitous bullets you know they like to hear?
Can America truly be a serious nation when its most visible ‘warriors’ covet above all else a media presence? Media’s an energy sink that encourages people to sink into their internet chairs and earnestly talk about charging the hill rather than, well, charging the hill. It’s the MAGA peeps’ answer to the Jim Jordan sternly-worded letter.
From our childrens’ vantage, Bongino was a criminally wasted billet languishing beneath two other wasted billets. At least he has a lucrative media presence he can retreat back to where he can resume hurling spitballs at the Deep State he was recently vested with real power to defeat. Americans love their TV drama and Dan has that dramatic flair. They’ll overlook a lot to re-suspend belief and be entertained.
No doubt Bonjino will be accepted back to TV Land with open arms. You can already see the X minions championing his one year of heroic struggle. A lot of people want to get taken under his re-monetization wing. Sad nation.
“Can America truly be a serious nation”
While I and my fellow Treepers take our rights, freedoms, country quite seriously….watching our congress, judges, governers, alphabet agencies, etc makes it very VERY difficult to take this country seriously. Objectively we are about as un-serious as can be.
“Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it”
Clearly my expectations were too high.
Dan Bongino is not the problem or even a problem. The problem is the DoJ. The DoJ does not need reform or even improvement. The DoJ should be radically re engineered. The DoJ, in its present form, is unconstitutional. The criminals are on the inside. The analogy is: “inmates running the insane asylum.” These people in the DoJ have destroyed out Justice system!
Anger is the root of cancer. When anger is suppressed, as it is in today’s society, it gets expressed by striking out at those closest to you, like your wife and children, or best friend. Why? Because it is the safest place. The extreme is to pick up a weapon and start shooting everyone you “feel” is responsible.
Perhaps, after being on the inside Dan will be able to express his anger with more insight that will be revelatory to the MAGA masses. And at the same time experience being bathed in love amid family and friends to more fearlessly speak truth from experience.
After all, how do you return governance by the people to the people if they remain asleep and adrift to the courage and stamina it will take to be self-governing? This is a spiritual awakening that starts with you and your god. How clean are you, how clear are you to take a stand when the environment wreaks with corruption? If not Bongino, then who? If not Kash, then who? God bless them for having the courage to give it a go.
Nothing is as it seems or appears. Trump willingly stepped into this mire of corruption to expose it. It is up to us to stand with him and fight to the freedom and independence of each and every human being made in God’s image. That fight is on our shores, seen and unseen. And it requires of us unyielding discernment. God has already won this struggle for freedom and independence for the Great Notre Dam of the West. America wins. And that glory comes with the commitment of each one of us to take a stand and declare NO MORE in every aspect of our lives. To speak our truth unflinching. Without fear or concern for the opinions of others. As Q has said, the end is not for everyone. The Golden Age arises out of the Hearts and Minds of those who found the strength of character to take a stand. Dan did his best, and now it is next man up, as Bannon would say. OR woman, as Kristy Noem demonstrates.
Excellent summation… I often think of how many actually took a stand at the founding of our nation. Wasn’t it about 1/3 of the population? While the rest enjoyed their fellowship with the British and/or hid themselves from the conflict. From that, I take it it won’t take all of us to have a nice country again…
Will we even notice he’s gone?
No – unfortunately.
While reading this article on my laptop, a large red window from Microsoft Security popped up and proclaimed this website to be deemed “unsafe” by Microsoft. Fortunately, it did let me close it and continue reading. Has anyone else had this happen while on “theconservativetreehouse.com”?
It often happens after I click on the “more” tab and attempt to read the entire story.
That is exactly what happened to me. I clicked more to see the rest of the story. First time I remember seeing the screen with the red background.
I have not, but I use the Brave browser which, among other things also completely blocks the adds on YouTube and on the streaming services that came free with my mom’s basic package. That’s been very handy for watching old movies and shows.
Brave is my browser and search engine as well. No problems here.
I am able to use Brave on my android, however, on my home laptop, which is an Apple MACBook, you are not permitted to use Brave. Apple controls the search engines you are permitted to use, and Brave is not one of them. I do get the red box security message on my laptop, but not my andriod.
Me
Happened to me today, somewhere around noon, 1:00 maybe.
I never hear from Microsoft Security – If I did, I would tell them to buzz off and Hit the Road Jack.
To liars—Truth is ALWAYS “unsafe.”
Maybe one of the recent whistleblowers wants to ask President Trump if s/he can be the Dep.Director.
The deep state is more than adept at maneuvering around new bosses who come in every 4 years. They know how to get around new bosses and new rules. The only thing that will fix the FBI is a complete overhaul and/or re-organization. That isn’t going to happen under Patel.
Only one solution. Burn it to the ground and salt the earth.
Who is going to do that? The Uniparty like it just fine?
Your solution clearly is a work around of the waste of good time trying to guess which ones are corrupt. Just assume they all are and dissolve the whole darn thing. We haven’t had a functioning FBI that cared about citizens safety …ever. We would not miss the criminality of this corrupt institution. Why is this solution so hard to see PT? Kash has become part of the problem. Lets hope Bongino was frank with PT. I hope Bongino has prepared himself to get an earful from his audience.
Yes, it is too corrupt for half-measures.
Why do you think Kash and Bondi got approved. If TRUMP would have not thrown Matt under the bus for Republican ( RINO) approval they would be waiting in jail now for there trial date? Both did NOTHING and will do NOTHING. TRUMP has 1 year to do the right thing for the country and that is replace Bondi , Kash and his inner circle of corrupt advisors to fix election fraud. Don’t look for him to do anything BUT sell the people of what he is trying to do. All BS!
I think if we had a real AG like Schmidt or some other bulldog we could fix the FBI. But, alas we have a real dummy as AG. One who calls President Trump, not Mr. President but “President”. I mean her IQ is probably lower than whale shit.
They approved her (RINOS) for a reason. You are watching live and not getting any better
Bongino hung his hat on getting the J6 pipe bomber. People in the FBI served up a patsy. Bongino bought it, hook, line, and sinker. Now the stage is set to destroy his media career. Who wants to bet that My Little Patsy has an airtight alibi, the whole prosecution falls apart, and Bongino and Patel get sued in civil court, effectively destroying their credibility?
Agree. Bongino thinks he can simply walk away. The Deep State is Hotel California.
I believe it was announced the J6 bomber admitted to setting the devices.
If you believe it, per NBC:

Unfortunately………another weakness……..or open door for attack from the enemies is always any family we have. If they know you have family, they can always threaten, blackmail, leverage and even control depending on the event!
Dan said this was taking a toll on his wife.
And when he does go back to podcast world…do YOU really think the 7th Floor is going to let him speak freely of whatever Dan saw and now knows that has made him so different for the rest of his life…as he has said?
I doubt it.
It makes you wonder how Trump has been able to survive through all this……and it ‘s not like….he’s the savior or anything like that…..but I think we are all aware that if things are not handled say…”diplomatically” through Trump’s Presidency……we all know the alternatives!
The left….have been pushing for THAT for awhile now.
Trump NEVER wanted it and has been trying to avoid it.
The Butler assassination attempt and lack of a thorough investigation indicates deep state involvement.
Not only that but why in the world has Trump not instructed the idiots to get to the bottom of it? In my humble opinion the President needs to start taking names and kicking a…. before his term is up and it is too late.
Ultimately the buck stops with DJT and the signs of not selecting the right people for the job was apparent long ago during his first term. He improved since then but I think it’s undeniable that Trump narcissistic personality traits seriously hamper his human resource management decisions. We will see what happens with his choice of a replacement for Bongino; it will be a telling indicator of what to expect.
There’s that and then there is his hands are tied in ways we, the public, do not understand or are not informed about – “blue” paper on judge appointees, rules covering how long someone can be “acting”, rules on Senate approvals. There is also another aspect, sometimes you have to agree to something you are not really behind in order to achieve a bigger goal. It’s this last reason that tends to be my takeaway when Trump does something neocon on the international stage or something non-maga domestically. I generally withhold judgement because there’s a lot we do not know about the job he is doing.
I liked that piece.
My takeaway is that the FBI cannot be fixed. Deep state wins again.
Well said Sundance. I hope others see what you are explaining. Kash and Dan and even Pam are susceptible to the deep state forces and are not able to counteract what is thrown against them. I think this means it’s not all their fault, as many posters here seem to criticize our leaders more than they criticize the manipulators.
If a deer was in charge of a pack of wolves and was trying to lead them by using it’s running and jumping skills and timid nature, would you blame the deer for eventually getting eaten? A deer, even if given a chance, is not capable of taking down a wolf pack Mr. President.
Head of the Secret Service dept would have been a better spot for Dan Bongino. A veteran of the SS he was well aware of the workings and training needed to get the best of the best! The FBI and Attorney General positions need stronger personalities with a cutting knife to go after the information and cover-ups. Patel and Bondi are wishy washy. Where are these people to replace them? Sydney Powell would make a great US Attorney general for Trump!
It will be a shame if Trump’s second term in office is ruined due to him not taking full control and doing what has to be done. If he knows what has to be done. After the Susie Wiles debacle I’m not so sure.
WhileI sincerely wish Dan Bongino could have succeeded at his goal of cleaning up the FBI, I admit I’m glad that he may be back doing his podcast and running his fledgling media company. I suspect it is floundering without him. Personally I can’t stand the Vince guy who took over the podcast and his other commentators are young and simply not as talented as he is. Dan, hurry back! We miss you!
I sincerely wish Dan well. I don’t see things the way this article does, but I do think Dan was better suited for Secret Service which is what he wanted and interviewed for. The corruption is so deep and I think he saw no one was serious about combatting it, especially Pam Bondi. (I hope she is replaced soon!)
Sundance,
I follow you religiously. PLEASE confine yourself to your expert analysis of the corruption of the DEEP STATE! Continue your efforts to break through the defenses of the 4 SILOS (or multitude of SILOS)! “Attack Vectors” are above your pay grade when it addresses so-called emotional/psychological mindsets of our current and former(Bongino) dedicated civil servants and LEADERS). I am a retired psychotherapist and EXPERT in human psychology! I find your current statements inaccurate and objectional. May GOD BLESS YOU in this season of the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ! Bill Monnie
I find them rather insightful and spot on.
Perhaps a reasonable perspective can be observed from a non psychological diagnosis.
I think we could agree that there is no justice without truth and no truth without revelation. Perhaps Mr Bongino’s efforts would be more clearly identified as a fact-finding mission. From a spiritual non-carnal aspect he could be said to have entered the belly of the beast.
When we consider the bold-faced wickedness and evil manifested by these weaklings inhabiting our government our most effective weapon is to pray for our leaders. Specifically pray for wisdom and instruction, to perceive . Above all pray that they would have courage and that God may protect them. All in the name of Jesus the Christ of salvation.
