Actually, “threat” may be the wrong word. The destruction of our liberty is not a potential risk, it’s already baked in.

In my opinion, the only problem with Gabbard is that she has attempted to violate the Constitution by running for president despite not being a natural born citizen and will most likely use her current popularity to do so again. Gabbard (and Rubio) certainly deserves all the praise she is getting for the exceptional work she has done recently. However, she does not deserve to be rewarded by allowing her to unconstitutionally become president or vice president despite not being a natural born citizen. Yes, she is a citizen, but she is not a natural born citizen.

Not true. Find and read the original treaty between Panama and the USA. It clearly states that anyone born inside the Canal Zone is a citizen of Panama. That made McCain a dual citizen of both Panama and the USA. Dual citizens cannot be 100% loyal to either nation. 100% allegiance is the sole purpose of the natural born citizen requirement.

The “definition” you cite from that website is not constitutional or statute defined law. The “natural born citizen ” reference is from Vattels Law of Nations. A diplomats book circa 1758…. the Minor vs. Happersett reference mentioned WAS SCOTUS, but was NOT about citizenship….it was women voting in missouri…had a common law reference to born in the land to citizen parents …it wasnt the ruling, it wasnt about eligibility…..so taken out of context and not applicable…..
Both McStain and Cruz cases were tossed @ district level….. appellate wouldn’t touch them.
For McCain, 8 USC 1401 says if you’re born outside the States to at least one U.S. citizen parent who’s lived in America for ten years—five after fourteen—you’re a citizen at birth.
That qualifies as natural-born.

Speaking of red herrings, your post is a pretty good example of one. You focus on the second half of one sentence in Sundance’s introductory remarks while ignoring the first part of that sentence as well as the rest of his 4 paragraphs.
Your disagreement with what is the biggest threat to our core values leaves out the connection between “political Islam”, “the importance of staying focused on liberty”, the rest of Sundance’s remarks, and how Tulsi’s speech ties them all together quite nicely–including what our government and other governments are doing to control and threaten our liberty and core values.
So no, I do not think Sundance’s remark that you focused on is a red herring, only one of the intricate parts of the whole truth of our focusing on our liberties and the many enemies of our liberties.
I would also like to state that my belief is that the biggest threat to our core values is when We The People do not understand, are not dedicated to, and are not focused on our Creator given liberties and rights–Because that is what allows our government or Islamic ideology or what have you to take control our lives and liberties.

I think she also recognizes the other threats to America very well too. “Is today the day?” Fits very well into her whole speech. Is today the day we give up our God given rights that our Constitution says we have and that it protects? She got her message across quite well and in two parts that connect.

Many years ago, (pre-9/11), was present in a small classified information environment where one of the instructors made a comment re the invasive nature of Islam. He said
“America has no idea it’s already been invaded by the one force that can destroy her”. He went on to say that “Islamic taxi drivers, motel and convenience store owners, etc etc were already so deeply ingrained in the American society that if people didn’t wake up, Sharia Law could be forced on America before 90% of the population even knew what it was”.
Fortunately, America started waking up to the threat after 9/11.

My advice to start doing ” far more ” is to educate ourselves ( Define the Threat ), understand the ( determined response ) actions needed, and then ( defend ) quit bellyaching about what isn’t being done, and fully support what is being accomplished. An excellent speech by Tulsi. How long has it been that we have ever had the head of DNI or any other government official tell us the truth or speak so eloquently?
Director Gabbard gave a patriotic speech focused on core values.
Each of us as Americans and patriots who do not refer often to those values sound as only a ringing gong or a clanging cymbal.

God, Family and Country in that order of priority was oft stated in my time in military service. If your focus is on God then the path of your family and your country align and are harmonious. Make no mistake we are a Christian nation and must not allow leadership or cells inside our country which are not of our values.
The fear porn pushed by the Deep State promising total security is at its core a lie and as Dir Gabbard points out that fear and reaction to it directly erodes our freedom. The USSR and the Third Reich would be extreme examples of the totalitarianism that results from promising absence of threat. A promise that leads to lessened individual security and elimination of freedom.
Where is the balance point between freedom and threat elimination (full surveillance mode)? The wasps are in the hive (illegal immigration/muslim immigration/cartels) and some of the drones are helping them. They use our laws and our freedoms against us but only because selected laws were unenforced.
We must never accept the premise that anyone who came here illegally has any right to be here no matter how long they have gotten by with being here. We must arrive at a decision that isolates and eliminates and banishes Islamic clerics citizens or not.

She has definitely won me over. My reservations about her true beliefs because of her family’s background has changed as I have watched her work in the campaign and in the administration.
I think she has strength, intelligence, compassion and a love for America and has consistently shown all of it. There’s a calmness about her too which is very compelling and very steadying. Her years in the Army have prepared her well to take on tasks and get them done with efficiency and thoroughness. She definitely shows quiet but commanding leadership.
Should she run for higher office someday, I would seriously look to vote for her. I wouldn’t have said that a couple years ago about her.
