According to the Daily Mail [Full Details Here], the Prince and Princess of Wales were deployed, at the start of the royal charm offensive, to greet the Trumps in the Walled Garden on the Windsor Estate when the Marine One helicopter arrived – with Mr. Trump telling Kate: ‘You’re beautiful’, according to a lip reader.
In one of a number of flourishes being added to the American leader’s trip, the helicopter landed on the lawn of the garden nestled in the private Home Park.
William and Kate welcomed the Trumps and walked a short distance with them to meet King Charles III and Queen Camilla outside Victoria House to launch the trip.
In total, around 120 horses and 1,300 members of the British military were involved in the ceremonial welcome at Windsor, with 160 personnel from the Royal Marines and Royal Navy, 1,000 from the British Army and 140 from the Royal Air Force.
This is well in excess of the 850 who took part in French President Emmanuel Macron’s state visit in July.
The Trumps joined the King and Queen and William and Kate for a carriage procession through the Windsor Estate towards the castle.

Rather than make the pilgrimage himself, like a Muslim going to Mecca, perhaps President Trump should have sent JD Vance – who called the UK an “Islamist country” and a country that was at war with free speech – in his place. Now that would have been very interesting.

I worked in London for a year. The “royal presence” was barely discernible to normal people in everyday lives. And it certainly wasn’t helping ‘the people.”. The city rather looked like California, with mounds of uncollected trash, and every transportation type traded turns going on strike. But, the speakers still mounted the box in Speakers’ Corner, and people still stopped to hear differing opinions without a riot. That was BEFORE the Muslims took over.

I hoped that President Trump would emphasize the importance of FREE SPEECH, something which appears to have gone with the winds of change in Great Britain. My hopes were rewarded, he referred to this particular shared value at least twice, albeit I don’t think in a manner which would raise hackles for the dinner guests. But he made it clear it was important.

The UK military is the smallest it has been in 300 years, on a per capita basis. They are well below their strength targets. I watched the whole video of the “Dog and Pony show” , and ( particularly since I was not a part of this one, as I had been that part of more than a few in the past), I actually enjoyed the whole, “show”.
My main reason to comment here, was that I was happy to listen to the beginning of our American/US National Anthem of the “Star Spangled Banner” at least twice, if not three times as the whole video went thru. I also heard, “GOD save the Queen”(King) a couple of times as well, & I am not so keen on that one, but it was always “Behind/after” our own US Nat. Anthem & I took that as a good sign of respect.
The last part with the bagpipers doing a rendition of ,”Scotland the Brave” I too, took as a “sign” that they were paying respect to DJTs Scottish background & for his being there, and paying respect that way by the choice of that tune above all others they may have played instead..
[ BTW, I have an affinity towards Scots & Irish folks, as that is my main family heritage, so I may be a bit biased about such things….
To be honest though, I do not care what the rest of ya think about that, & have no comment for those who do not understand. 😉
I do understand that there are those who have wished they did have that heritage & don’t , so they might be inclined to have hateful thinking towards such heritage.

I have seen pictures from OAN of the visit. My heart bursts with pride to see this wonderful couple representing our country to the world. We are blessed. I was wondering where they kept all the beautiful horses when they weren’t being used for parades or something for the royal family. Also, are all the people in the beautiful uniforms members of their military. I’m aware there are black horses stationed in front of one of the palaces at a gate where you see so many tourists. The pageantry of this visit was just awesome. Was Rubio and Bessent the only ones who accompanied PDJT? I didn’t recognize anyone else at the long table.

in my home state, my parish of calcasieu, gets it’s name from the great bald eagle…a bird of prey that actually exists and has existed in great population from end to end the entire old Spanish trail.
