In one of a number of flourishes being added to the American leader’s trip, the helicopter landed on the lawn of the garden nestled in the private Home Park.

Showed horses for many years…the training of the horse and rider takes years of work…the days before the show was spent grooming, trimming and washing the horses…oh my, the grey ones were almost impossible to get clean and keep clean. Then the silver polishing and cleaning of the tack and harness…Now for the rider, the outfit perfectly chosen and cleaned, the rider groomed to perfection.
Then the show itself…a horse does not always perform as planned…anything can set them off…As shown several of the grey ones were pretty naughty…sorta not grounded so to speak. but the incredible skill of their riders, kept everyone safe…

One year when I was fifteen, I was one of the girls to hand out the ribbons for the horse show at our local riding club (the horse show was held for a hospital auxiliary organization to which my Mom belonged). I agree it is a wonder to behold considering how much preparation went into it all working smoothly. I don’t normally watch that kind of thing but that was an amazing display of tradition and respect for our President and First Lady and our Country. It was a great surprise to me that it went so well considering the condition the country is in and that 3 million people were in the street over the weekend. I’m sure you that Edward’s and Sophie’s daughter, Lady Louise, took up carriage driving when she was very young, taught by her grandfather, and is now competing. When he died, he willed her his favourite carriage. I belief she is quite good.
I noticed two horses throwing their heads for quite awhile. As they came in closer I noticed the rider of one was carrying a small whip, which I am sure he did not use, but merely let the horse see every now and then! Spirited animals and so smart.

The helicopters didn’t / couldn’t land right next to the castle so they would have had to been transported some way.

History and centuries of tradition are important to the cohesiveness of civilization, and the UK is the Mother Country of the Anglo-sphere. Its role is spreading Western Civilization in the 18th, 19th and 20th century is critical to our own emergence, blessed with their formative culture in large part and with the antithetical ideals of a Republican form of government our Revolution produced.
