St George’s Hall at Windsor Castle will provide the incredible setting tonight for the State Banquet, with a 165-foot-long table, as King Charles III and Queen Camilla host President Donald J. Trump, First Lady Melania, and 160 other guests 🇬🇧 🇺🇸
<…State Banquet, with a 165-foot-long table>
‘Please pass the salt’ takes an hour! 🙂
Who be the court jester at the banquet. England is full of them.
made me chuckle…thank you.
I bet they have those little individual salt and pepper shakers.
Gulag escapee: I remember that commercial.
165-foot-long table
I trust President Trump will be seated “above the salt.”
Salt jokes are just sodium funny 🙂
Chlorine Halleleujah, WM you’re so right!
That is a 10 Wordman. 🙂
I LOLd, as the kids say …
chuckled again…
I just know that Donald Trump is looking for ideas for his new Ballroom..
Only the Brits would do something like this. They ruled the world and lost it. They insist on class and ceremony above labor and production.
There is a sadness in President Trump’s face since Charlie was assassinated. Understandably.
Have you seen Melania’s face?
Not very well because of the style of her hat, deliberately selected I’m sure. From the photos I have seen, her face is reflective as well.
Here is what was sung during their respectful visit to the Queen and Prince Philip’s burial site.
Vivaldi’s “Gloria” – First Movement
Sung here by Harry Christopher’s “The Sixteen”
Magnificent. Thank you for posting this Betsy.
You are so welcome.
Is it strange that Charles and Camilla did not accompany their visitors to the Chapel, especially since their purpose was to lay a wreath on the tomb of his mother? Is he afraid that God will strike him down if he sets foot in a church?
I didn’t realize that.
Haven’t you heard? Charles is a Muslim now and Schumer is a Palestinian. 😉
I’d think that it was to allow them privacy.. It’s like visiting your loved ones grave.
It’s personal.
The tomb is also in a (comparatively) small space with a narrow entrance just off the nave to the left. It’s not a large chapel.
So uplifting! Thanks for sharing.
I’m a bit surprised at the choice, 88.
I would have thought something less exuberant for a private visit, gentler, more peaceful. The English repertoire for such solemn occasions as I would consider this to be is unending and rich.
Maybe something like this…
Bring us, o Lord God, at our last awakening
into the house and gate of Heaven,
to enter into that gate and dwell in that house,
where there shall be no darkness nor dazzling, but one equal light;
no noise nor silence, but one equal music;
no fears or hopes, but one equal possession;
no ends or beginnings, but one equal eternity,
in the habitations of thy glory and dominion,
world without end.
John Donne (1572 – 1631)
So very kind of you, A Call for Honesty to provide the words to this beautiful offering.
Thank you.
I suppose it depends on who chose the hymn.
Was it chosen by a grieving son? Or was it chosen by an elderly king, long an heir in waiting, glad to finally take his seat on the throne?
Maybe the selection was intended to celebrate her life rather than to mourn her death.
Queen Elizabeth was much loved and revered by her subjects and world leaders, including President Trump and the First Lady.
The acoustics are magnificent, Lorraine. What a thrill it would be to hear the voices singing the Gloria magnified throughout the Chapel.
I would have thought the occasion would dictate, Gulag. Possibly the choir director with the final approval by Charles. We will never know.
As they look around and see all they see, learn all they learn in the deep down weeds that only the cabinet knows (imagine what they’ve learned about this world that Charlie’s assassin was into) I can imagine they do have to wonder why on earth they are there doing this with their lives- when they could be literally doing anything else.
There is times in life when we feel “called up” to take on a job, we feel compelled to act and we do it –but this doesn’t mean that we’re all that thrilled with it.
We’re often forced to make huge sacrifices to carry out the job.. doing the honorable thing isn’t always the easy thing- this is for sure.
Yes. Noted and commented here as well. A great weight sits on him.
Much younger men than President Trump, if they were under the same pressure as he is, would be looking haggard, but the mainstream media want to use this against him. The media could actually be helping all who are seeking to promote good governance, law and order, a safer environment in the country, strong families and improved education, hard work and fair remuneration and more. This would actually ease the load on the President and help him work with those tasked with governing the USA wisely but this is not the goal of selfish, self-centred, humanistic politicians.
This is the REAL Trump. As far as I can tell, he has been back about 2 weeks. I agree with you @A Call For Honesty. Britain has tried to undermine ANY harmonious relationship with US and Russia—two strong nations getting along and trading just cannot happen as far as Britain is concerned.
God please protect our POTUS.
Amen.
our President looks unimpressed…….
Sorry, but he looked very much impressed. He asked many questions about the items he was shown and openly professed a keen interest in the ”history” he was being shown. I don’t know what you watched, perhaps a CNN clip.
I have followed Donald Trump’s projects for my entire adult life, some of them were in Architectural Digest Magazine years ago.
I recall a renovation in Trump Tower, then there was Mara Lago –it’s got to be one of the largest historic preservation projects done here in America. He has said he bought that place to save it, and he did.
He’s done this with many noteworthy historic properties around the world that had he not done this, they’d probably be Condos now.
This stuff is his passion- he’s very interested and taking it all in.
My Mom and I were avidly watching President Trump’s visit to Vietnam during his first term. The Vietnamese people were very gracious and it seemed to us wanting very much to form a strong relationship with President Trump and the USA. We felt sure he very much wanted to get in there and help them with their building and landscaping as he was also admiring their efforts to put on the best presentation possible . . . seeing that their desire to uplift their country and to make things better for their people and probably worried about the CCP-PRC breathing down their neck.
I daresay they probably gave a more sincere and heartfelt welcome than Macron and all the splendor of the Presidental Palace.
It makes one wonder how his paternal Grandmother Trump might have been an influence on him, directly or indirectly, in the effort to engage in historic preservation.
I heard an interview once years ago where he said that he considered himself an artist.
To be driven to design and build from the inspirations coming from your own mind, this is creating, he is an artist.
Thank you, SD for the streaming vid!
The freaking BBC is insufferable! Good grief.
Camilla is a very poor hostess. She should have let her guest, First Lady Melania, go BEFORE her in the line so she could see & hear the conversation. Instead, Melania had to lean forward, or in one instant, go in front of Camilla.
Never should this fake queen have delegated Melania to the rear of the line. Melania was her guest.
Worse, Camilla was looking at the items as if it were her first time seeing them. Maybe she should take an interest in her own country’s history?
I’m offended on her behalf.
As a huge Diana fan, I never liked The Rottweiler.
Me too. Every time I see her, I can’t help but think of how she got to where she is and at whose expense – Diana’s ruined marriage and terrible effect on both children, but Harry is totally screwed up.
I remember when both of her boys were born, oh how she loved those boys.
She’d be devastated at what has happened, but then if she was here, it never would have happened.
So this is more loss suffered from her tragic death.
MAGA
Loved President Trump’s interaction with the young choir. He ”made their day.” He had them chuckling at whatever he was saying. Great to witness his ability to talk from heads of states to young people.
Yes he had the kids laughing when he pointed to the press and said they would make all the children famous! 🤣
POTUS was also very kind when he ushered 2 children who were caught behind him for the photo and moved them in front of him.
This is all you have to know about Britain
Absurd so atrocities must be next?
With great difficulty, I am sure!
No comments from J. K. Rowling? She took an enormous amount of heat by commenting that the term “menstruating persons” was absurd – only females menstruate so what’s with the generalization of “persons”?
Anti Christic nonsense. God help us.
That one on the left must be a self-identifying woman with a short haircut.
No wonder the world is laughing at us.
But as your lion stretches, so our bulldog is growling.
Cesarean section?
beautiful! so proud of our wonderful President Trump and First Lady Melania 🇺🇸❤️
The weight of Office and the murder of Charlie Kirk is weighing heavily on the President. 😞
In our lifetime and our history, there will surely never be a Queen such as Elizabeth II, who served longer than any European monarch (save one …), and this for having been crowned as a very young adult. (The “German Baby” therefore doesn’t count.)
Probably, “no successor” will ever measure up to her, and they probably shouldn’t even try.
“Mere ‘Pomp and Circumstance’ …” Except that it means so very much to them …
The one thing that I most remember about Queen Elizabeth II is that, literally just a few days before she died, she appointed a Prime Minister. The first of which she had so done being: “Winston Churchill.” And yet, even as she performed that yet-another official duty, she never let it slip (if she knew …) that she was about to die. She was “Queen” to the [very …] last. “She was her nation,” and, in return, “her nation was her.” Requiscat en pace …
Mike I recall being surprised when the Queen died.
For some reason, I fully expected that lady to live forever.
I didn’t see any wreath being laid. Did I miss it?
Cameras and filming are not allowed in the area of Queen Elizabeth II’s tomb. President Trump is said to have spent ten minutes there alone, in quiet reflection.
This is quite an honor the King and Queen of the UK are bestowing on President and Mrs. Trump, and the United States.
English patriot here, great to see your President here in England.
A man we can all look up to. Believe me the vast majority of the UK welcome him and Melania.
I love the Pomp and Circumstance the Royalty does, all the Soldiers, Uniforms ive always loved the British Uniforms, the Horses, all of it so i think all of it is beautiful, genuine as the King really likes DJT they say, and Melania looked so beautiful in her Gold Dress. I assume i cant cut and paste pic to put but the one of her off gaurd w King and Queen is so natural and beautiful
Thank you for the video, Sundance. When we visited Windsor years ago, couldn’t go inside chapel or elsewhere; they were closed.
What a gorgeous venue!!! The windows at the end reminded me of St. Chapelle in Paris. And as a retired professional musician, loved their choice of music; the Vivaldi “Gloria” one of my favorites. However, the acoustics there are pretty weird, IMO. All of these old cathedrals, etc., are very live, but not sure it was just that. Maybe something with the recording.
They were great with the children, and it was only a few years ago, that it would have been a boy choir, a very old English/Anglican tradition.
Most interesting, and looking forward to tonight’s banquet too.
I’m watching RAV , the state banquet, President Trump looks like something is wrong , im hoping just tired or light illnes( allergies), almost like he hates to eat his vegetable. He looked the same way earlier upon arriving. God Bless and Keep our great President and First Lady Melina, and Safe.
It could be jet lag setting in. Traveling eastward produces more jet lag than the other direction.
The paternal Grandmother of King Charles had a very difficult and unusual life, but she kept on going with God’s help.
She became a Greek Orthodox Nun and actually lived her last years at Buckingham Palace (which was unusual for an Orthodox Nun).
She was buried, at her request, in Jerusalem at the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene at Gethsemane near her beloved aunt, the Holy New Martyr Elizabeth the Grand Duchess (+ 1918).
There is a small book about her with Greek Orthodox Nun in Buckingham Palace in the title.
Big Macs for everyone!

Britain’s TERROR: While Dining with the King, Trump Strengthen Ties With Russia
As media outlets focus on President Trump’s visit to Great Britain, Susan Kokinda delves into the more pressing issue terrifying the British establishment: the evolving US-Russian relations and its impact on global politics. This episode highlights the desperation of the British imperial system exemplified by the assassination of Charlie Kirk, a tactic employed by the empire in a bid to maintain control. Kokinda elucidates Trump’s strategic moves towards Russia, the hypocrisy surrounding the European sanctions, and the growing alliances that threaten the British Empire’s long-standing dominance. Join us for an in-depth analysis of Trump’s quiet diplomacy with Russia, the ideological battle mirrored in the deaths of Charlie Kirk and Socrates, and the significance of Promethean Action in fighting for America’s philosophical independence
The “King” and the brit elite do not like our President nor anything he stands for. TBH, why we even care about this totalitarian, socialist, sharia loving regime is beyond me. Complete waste of time.
