Maybe a confiscated weapon his law enforcement father “acquired” during his career that was clean, no records of it ever being purchased here in states or WWII war trophy. Mauser K98’s were surplus items forever at $30 ea, usually 8mm caliber but could be easily rebarreled to 30-06.
Hard to be sure what is real or not, but the gun in all the pictures I’ve seen so far appears to be a bolt-action Remington 700 with a black synthetic stock and mounted scope. Most definitely not an old stripper-clip, top-load Mauser…but who really knows? Because I’ve also seen several reports that’ve said his father is a construction worker. With the state of our current fake news media, controlled by the cabal, who the hell knows what is fact, or fiction.
I have yet to see photo of weapon used, but a Mauser would be awfully hard to conceal in pants due to length.

Several smaller countries purchased these for their Military and changed them to 30-06 calibre because bulk supplies of this would be more available. ….. Not sure when that happened, but I think he had on different clothing from what I saw.

going back to the rifle: regardless if this is a vintage ww2 rifle or a modernized mauser bolt action rifle, it does not break down. you can remove the bolt and the mag box, but the rifle stock, butt, and barrel cannot be separated….it can be separated by a gunsmith for certain, but this is just not possible to do in the “field”, nor it is possible to do so and then start shooting with accuracy “in the field”.
what is the length of this rifle. the model 98 is common at 44 inches. However, variants include extended barrels that can push that distance up to 50 inches.
all mauser 98 models and variants are calibered in 30-06 with a very rare exceptions for 7 and even 8 mm rounds, which are typically for competition long range rifle.
the reason I keep bring this up is because I really do not see at all a weapon of this length anywhere on this person ..not before, nor when he jumped down from the building.
now it might be the poor resolution of the camera, but at 44 inches, wrapped in a dark blanket you are going to see a silhouette. and if he was hiding it in his jeans and through his backpack you are going to see his gait and rate of pace altered. you see none of that.
so how DID this rifle get to the roof and how to did later travel to the wooded area.
those two questions raise the possibility that at least one other person was involved.

Read the warrant affidavit and watch the videos again. He has the weapon against his body and down his right pant leg as he approaches campus. That’s why he’s walking stiff-legged. When he jumps off the building as he’s exiting, you see a long object that looks like a towel in his hand. That’s the gun.
There may indeed have been others involved or who at least had knowledge. But he brought the gun with him.
That towel or whatever it was, if you watch it, at no time, imo, is it stiff as it would be if something 3 or 4 feet long was wrapped up in it. I am talking about as he is jumping down. That towel/ bag whatever it is, looks like maybe it might at most have a change of clothes in it. It actually looks how a garbage bag would

I just don’t see the rifle on the jump down. I reviewed it using ever off the shelf open source video editor that can ehance, shade and interpolate and bring it down to bit by bit pixel by pixel ultra slow motion…yes, some AI is involved. even with the raw data, using classic view replay and slow mo…I’m just not seeing the rifle. What I am seeing is someone who starts to run off across the grass with a noticeable limp. What I do notice is that his pace is not encumbered nor is his gait abnormal as he sprints across the roof to the edge. What I do notice is that videos showing his prep and walkup to the building…yes, there is a noticeable gait irregularity.
My theory is that he did conceal it to get it into position…but that he had someone else remove the rifle and put it in the wooden area. I really do believe based on what I am observing that he did not do this alone.

Most surplus K98’s were chambered in 8mm. If above info is correct, maybe parents gave him build a gun kit and surplus weapon and it was rechambered in 30-06 if original barrel was threaded into receiver, as most weapons of war are. After market stocks are everywhere, and breakdown or folding stocks can be found for most any make or model if search is extensive, or custom made. Mauser bolt actions have continued to be very hardy and robust, and used extensively for custom made rifles, known for their strength and durability, plus adaptability as well.
Why rechamber it? 8mm is a great round. My buddy uses his for deer and elk. Repurposed old rifle. A lot of guns originally designed for war make excellent hunting guns.
Ammo availability at the time…..recommendation for specific hunting scenario. Number of reasons…maybe original barrel was not get the MOA he wanted.
Ammo availability might be 1 reason, 30-06 is a very common round and easily found in almost every sporting goods stores.

The police/FBI seem to have mis-identified the weapon based on the photo below.
It is clearly not a historic K98k. It appears to be a modern “Mauser type” rifle from some alternate manufacturer. There are an endless variety of rifles from many manufacturers worldwide modeled on the basic Mauser bolt-action.
If this photo is the actual rifle it is clearly some modern bolt-action hunting rifle. It does not however appear to be a folding or collapsible stock.
Even if slung diagonally with the muzzle down his pant-leg it would be very awkward and would likely show a giveaway silhouette through his pants.
Totally agree , the only thing I can be sure from this photo is the action is older than the stainless barrel , making me believe it is a customized military surplus rifle .
Respectfully, your Mauser 98 info is overly broad and incorrect , the only rifles originally chambered in 30-06 were new units imported to the USA after WWII to . Other American calibers were available while most military issue were 8×56 and 7×57 . This also varies according which country originally ordered said versions . Mauser made / makes rifles for anybody and everybody to this day .

in the affidavit refers to “model 98”, but also there was some information image showing what appeared to be non vintage modernized mauser bolt action long rifle. I made several mistakes…1: assuming the model 98 was in fact a vintage ww2 rifle 2. then making the mistake that it would be 30-06 chambered per the image….3 and lastly, completely wrong about “all” mauser 98’s being chambered 30-06.

Anyone with just some simple trading could make that shot with a rifle of that caliber.
Many young kids at boot camp with no gun training make that shot at the range.
His father being a local sheriff he would’ve had some type of knowledge.
That was a pretty short shot for a scoped rifle. Apparently he and his family were into guns for years.
That was not a particularly difficult shot with a scoped 30-06. Sniper level training would not be necessary.
In sniper school, they begin at 500 yards I believe, and I think to graduate, you have to 5 in the black at 1500 yards. The really good ones can hit 2000 yards
Many say that it is no problem to hit a target with a 30.06 at 200 yards with a little practice at a range. No need for sniper training.

The message sent to his “roommate” after the shooting appeared to try to enlist the roommate to retrieve the gun that Robinson had wrapped in a towel and hidden in the “wooded area”. LE, having surveillance video of Robinson dropping from the roof and heading for the wooded area , was able to quickly retrieve the gun.

This statement near the end of the affidavit is what will mean the death penalty for this perp:

The only way he can get the death penalty for killing a single individual in this case in Utah is if he “put many around him at grave risk of death”.
”aggravated murder” is the key term.
Sorry to disagree, but here is the actual language in Utah Code Section 76-5-202.
“the actor knowingly created a great risk of death to another individual other than the deceased individual and the actor”.
OK, were there people behind or around Kirk? YES. Could anything have “gone wrong” altering where he pointed the muzzle at the time of trigger pull? YES. (stupid birds, weird surprise itch on his leg) Because at that range a slight movement could have taken anyone else’s head off.

If Robertson pleads guilty the death penalty would be off the table!! Hopefully there will be federal charges as well which is more difficult to plea bargain. But I do wonder what Charlie would want. In the video of the shooter jumping off the roof where is the gun at this point? It can’t be in his pants or he would not have been able to jump off the roof or run like that. He ran off towards the parking lot, so if he threw the gun off the other side isn’t that taking a huge risk hoping nobody would find the gun before he could circle back to get it? If it’s possible to take the gun apart and it’s in his backpack then why put it back together and hide it in the woods to possibly be found? I want to believe they caught the actual shooter, but this screams accomplice or patsy to me. I hope you guys have seen the clip and someone can tell me where the gun is, and assure me this is truly the lone wolf antifa indoctrinated demon that murdered Charlie.
He had the gun when he jumped off the roof. It was wrapped in a towel and you can see it after he jumps down… he wraps the towel back around it before he continues on.
He had the gun under his clothing… which was why he was walking with a limp on his way to campus.

All indications would lead me to believe that this family hunted game. Lots of families do. Hunting in the western USA is often at ranges out to 400 yards and beyond. 200 yards not extremely difficult. In my opinion he missed his aim point and forgot to compensate for the ballistics at 200 yards which is approximately 3 inches of bullet drop assuming the rifle was sighted to hit at 100 yards. That drop would have resulted in neck versus head wound.
What stands out is this murderer stared cold bloodily through that magnified scope of Charlie Kirk’s face and pulled trigger anyway. Through a magnified scope he could see Charlie as well as if he were in the same room with him.
No mercy this guy was as stone cold a killer as the monster on the Charlotte light rail.

I think the statement is poorly written. I think those words refer to Tyler saying he hated Kirk in the conversation the shooter was having with the family member. I had to read it two or three times myself.

The Narrative. If they crafted a GOOD narrative that fit the available evidence, everyone would be in agreement. Asking questions about something that doesn’t look right isn’t a conspiracy theory. By definition, it is a conclusion based on imaginary details with no evidence. This is different. This is people disagreeing with the evidence presented and often with good reason. And there are few with actual “theories.”
